B18c is better than a b17 tho.
I got lucky bqck in 2014 buying a civic wagon with a b17/ys1 swap. I absolutely love it and the YS1's short gearing makes it pretty damn zippy

My good friend Josh has an all original 92 gsr integra with matching b17a1. He hasn't driven it in a few years but hes starting to restore it now. It's going to be awsome. I can t wait to see it done. I've always been super jealous of it
I have a B17A1 in my crx. It was sitting at a local scrap yard for years and nobody ever asked about it. I guess everyone assumed all the spare GSR engines were gone.

B17 Crankshaft is the best out of all the B Series cranks in my opinion! They can hold ass load of HP/TQ👍

I still have my 612 whp EJ8 Civic coupe, but I'm currently working on my 2001 Accord sedan that I just swapped the stock J30A1 with the 4 speed auto for a JDM J32A and six speed manual LSD trans from an 03 Acura CL Type-S. Everything is swapped, installed, and wired, but now I'm dealing with the arduous task of programming the AEM 30-6051 to work with the auto harness and manual trans...wish me luck bro!

The B17 GS-R was only made in 92 and 93. Was only sold in US and Canada markets. Roughly 3,700 vehicles were ever equipped with this engine. Also the engines came with a different valve cover (black, big DOHC, little vtec lettering, no "H" and said "Honda Motor Co," at the bottom instead of just "Honda"
B17's are identical to the b16a block with a longer crank throw, shorter rods and lower profile pistons. The cranks were prone to failure due to poor rod angle design.
I have a b17 block that had a bad crank when I got it. I'm running full b16 internals, still enjoy the rare stamp on the block.
man..time serts are great, had someone replace my transmission and they stripped every hole in the transmission case for the mount on it in my 2001 civic..well one day i heard a clunk and the engine/trans was leaning down touching the subframe, the shop i had it done was more headache than it was worth to try to get help so i just used time serts and its still holding strong till this day.
I use to have a car that had a b17 it was a limited edition green Integra special edition

You should do some SOHC stuff, I know people have beliefs, but yo, their cheap, easy to build and you can make good power for cheaper. And everyone has a single cam it's what the OGs built.
You should put together a broken one with out anything inside just for it to be a statue.they look badass you could make the outside look new.

I painted mine the same color thinking the same, I thought it was going to be a darker blue wrinkle but ended up a lot lighter then I wanted just like yours.

Idk about lubing the the seal where it meets the block man. Lube where it rides on the crank. Most seals these days are dry fit 🙏🖖

Hey bro quick question. I've been having issues with my k swapped dc . Idk who else to ask , figured I'd come on here and see if you could help me with atleast some advice. Have a k24a2 swapped DC teg . Innovate mounts 500 hp inserts , type s trans , bold ons etc etc . Car was fine for yrs . Had a bolt snap in my post mount which cause a dss axle to explode . A week later got a new post mount hardware etc took it for a drive on the way home , the passenger mount bent , causing the new axle to blow ... new mount from innovate , another OEM crv post mount , hardware etc . After about 2 drives , my passenger and driver mount are now being pushed toward the firewall and its pretty noticeable.. any ideas bro?
