@@TheKurtlocker haha. I like the stainless steel and welded end caps. Those are nice little details. I say keep them both unless you find someone to sell for a good price.
I got to use the Rogue one in a recent gym tour I did. It’s got some nice improvements over the original and at a better price and a much faster lead times!
I have been very happy with my MM UDA, glad I decided to go with their 45mm handles, feels really nice on high reps. Looking food to your full comparison video in the future!
Dips is my favorite exercise I love this video thanks much for sharing I think that MM inspired Rogue to come up with the Velocitor but for Home Gyms it’s a little overkill, Im jealous of whoever has a MM Piece ,Adding the minimalist gusset on the bottom was a great Idea That makes me wanna sell my Sorinex Diablo and get one of those The Stainless Steel Handles are 🔥
Great video, I went with the Velocidor secondary to shoulder issues and can say that the angle you discuss definitely changes the strain pattern on the shoulder. I love it, but could see how great this is as well
I’ve found the downward slope to be best for my shoulders. It’s definitely a heavy attachment but I leave it attached to my monster storage unit so I’m not moving it around much
Nice piece! The rigidity of that added gusset plate on the Rogue version may not feel drastically different but on camera it looks like way less flex. Also (insert spongebob mocking meme,) "tHeRe'S NoT a SiNgLe pIEce oF roGuE FItnEsS iN ThiS gYm" - ha, gottem'.
Really looking forward to a more in depth review on the difference between the rogue and original mutant metal version. I'd love to hear a little bit more about the flex in use, weight difference.
Niceeee! Living in Canada, the rogue version makes sense as with MM directly, the shipping price makes the whole adventure crazy expensive. (About 45% more?) Maybe next year, if I'm a good boy, I'll treat myself to it. :)
Nice video. Thanks. I went the Velocidor for the added angles which I have been surprisingly handy. Wish it had stainless handles. But that would probably be a hefty price increase..
@@TheKurtlocker yeah it has worked for me. Downward angle takes the pressure off my shoulder which is trash lately. Or at least it feels like it does. Ah nice. I’m in Australia so don’t think they offer that unfortunately. We get like 2% of gym equipment u guys get 🥲
Great overview. I'm curious, is it possible to install the handles directly on the rack uprights and use them as handles to grab on when squatting? Or as neutral pull up handles? Etc.
Fantastic comparison. I know you mentioned in your garage tour video you’ve deliberately made your current gym build without Rogue equipment. Is this a one off Rogue purchase for you? Or are you going to start playing fast and loose with that rule or get rid of the Rogue x MM UDA?
I’ll be incorporating rogue back in. I wanted to build it without rogue to prove the point, which I did, but now it’s time to do what can make the channel a little $$$ and that means rogue
@TheKurtlocker hey bud.was also wondering.does the handles that come with the rogue version have enough thread to use on the 3×3 rack like mutant metals?
@tadleyironwood7595 it absolutely does. If this video helped it would mean the world to me if you bought through the rogue link on my website www.thekurtlocker.blog/affiliates
@TheKurtlocker oh i absolutely will buddy.im just waiting until its offered in white .i want to pair it with the black handles.says there gonna be releasing colour ways soon
For dips, probably not necessary but it is a very nice detail. I would say that for a lot of the other movements you can do with the handles like pull-ups, as a single handed anchor point, Viking press handles, stall bar handles, etc. the knurling is nice to have and helps enhance grip
Does a multi shot unboxing/reaction vid, and puts a level on the handles. It’s like you’ve got a job where you need to be anal retentive af. Good video. I wasn’t really that up on Mutant before. Stuff looks good. But people still do dips? Other than the bodyweight nerds, I mean.
@Jay-fc4fg plain is fine, the point I’m making is that in came in packaging that was designed to deliver the equipment in perfect condition. You’re now wrong that it’s garbage but there are many companies that will chuck it in a box and send it your way. When it arrives in bad condition you then have to begin a warranty claim process which is expensive and takes time that could have been mitigated with better packaging. The value is your time and effort as a consumer
@TheKurtlocker @TheKurtlocker My man, now I understand what you are saying! Your talking quality packaging. Delivering a product in the condition the consumer expects. I'm sorry I thought you were talking about cool boxes slick marketing that gets some people excited. Which we all know increases the price. And like you said after a few minutes into opening the package. Ain't nobody got time for that!!
That is a great addition. Top notch construction.
Thank you! I’m still undecided which I like better so I guess I’ll keep them both! Ha

So true and I really do like the matte black. I’m torn on which handles I prefer truthfully
@@TheKurtlocker yeah like both but really like the rogue knurled nuts with plastic
@carps_gym I gotta say that I almost prefer the 3D printed nut so far.
Thanks Kurt I was thinking of picking up the Rogue UDA! Appreciate this it helps a lot
If you do get the rogue, please do me a solid and follow the link in my site. Gets me some cred with rogue and is the same price for you.
I have been very happy with my MM UDA, glad I decided to go with their 45mm handles, feels really nice on high reps. Looking food to your full comparison video in the future!
The high quality options offered by MM are serving to none
My rogue MM has that same inperfection in the coating. Thought it was just limited to mine.
Kinda sucks doesn’t it? It’s super minor, but still there.
Dips is my favorite exercise

Sell it and upgrade! You won’t regret it
Great video, I went with the Velocidor secondary to shoulder issues and can say that the angle you discuss definitely changes the strain pattern on the shoulder. I love it, but could see how great this is as well
I find this easier to store than a larger unit like the Velocidor. Do you angle your Velocidor handles up and down?
I’ve found the downward slope to be best for my shoulders. It’s definitely a heavy attachment but I leave it attached to my monster storage unit so I’m not moving it around much
@dannymigliaccio5435 I need to get one and experiment with it.
you and I both are crazy enough to own both the Rogue and MM version of the UDA
Crazy people don’t know they’re crazy. This makes us totally sane and perfectly reasonable

Definitely getting some rogue up in here now that I made the video.

I’m looking forward to publishing that video soon!
I'm going to get a set of handles to use with my lever arms after the holidays.
The handles are amazing for those with lever arms!
Niceeee!

Rogue definitely has those shipping rates on lock!
Nice video. Thanks. I went the Velocidor for the added angles which I have been surprisingly handy. Wish it had stainless handles. But that would probably be a hefty price increase..
I’m very intrigued on the handle angles and the difference they’d make. You can get stainless handles at the mutant metals site at the link below

Absolutely. Again, one of my favorite things about the mutant metals design
def good idea for pull ups as neutral handles ......
@richardtorres9814 one of the best ideas

why did u feel like getting the Rogue one even though u had the MM UDA already
I’m going to be doing a comparison video to show the differences
Nice" wonder when you will be able to have a colour option..
That is an excellent question.

@tadleyironwood7595 that would look awesome!
Nice review. Did you move your ghd to be a table top? Time to get a scout hyper, portable table 😂
Ha! I just kept it in place. I need to do the classy thing and get a plyo box shaped portable table
Really wish they'd offer the fatter diameter handles like MM does
Unfortunately I don’t think they will but I’m with ya!
I spay an additional UPS on the floor
You sure do from my Monster-lite days. I let people use it to give em a taste
Why is knurling necessary for dips anyway? Ive never done dips with knurling on the dip bars. Getting spoiled man lol

dual camera Angles!!!!!
Getting all sorts of fancy up in here! I clap to synchronize the cameras in Final Cut.
Yeah, more work but fun to switch feeds/angles @@TheKurtlocker
How do you like the black handles? I always see stainless steel being pushed but is it really that big of a difference or do you consider it a must?
I think I the black zinc handles are well done. The look good and are finished evenly and nicely.
I dip my cap to you sir.
Well thank you! I return said gesture.
Hello,
Which version would fit more snug without wiggle on a REP PR 5000 rack?
Solid question. I’d say the rogue version although if you buy direct from mutant metals he could probably accommodate the difference.
Thank you

Hahaha. I’ve actually used my UDA for Viking press on a lever arm and used the handles to do neutral grip pull ups but yes…I do weighted dips as well.
@@TheKurtlocker my shoulders ache just watching other people do dips 🤣
Packaging?? Adds value??? Man you selling
..
Than nobody got time for that.. lol
Of course the packaging matters. If a nice item arrives all jacked up from shotty packaging it only makes the experience worse
@TheKurtlocker how about if it comes in plain just what's needed to get it to you. After you throw that stuff away, where is the value?
@TheKurtlocker dull plain packaging vs jack up items == apples and oranges
