Crazy how this game was Daunte’s last game as a Viking at the Dome. That go-ahead TD to Mewelde Moore was his last overall as a Viking. He blew out his knee the following week at Carolina.
Yeah, it was a sad tale for Daunte. He went from elite to a an afterthought within 2 years. Brad Childress didn't like Daunte because all he did was complain about his contract so Brad gave him the heave-ho. He never regained his former glory.
Jason Cook Yeah maybe it wasn’t a good idea to give him a 10-year extension after a 23 INT season. Sure, the upside was always there, but 10 years is a long time in sports. You never know what can happen in that period of time, even in 3 years.
Culpepper was also named as a suspect in the ensuing Lake Minnetonka love boat scandal later in the week. Between the scandal, (which he was later cleared of) his season ending knee injury, and his dislike of Brad Childress. I think that Culpepper wanted out of MN in anyway possible. But was a sad ending to his Vikings career.
The last time was probably that 2013 game at Lambeau. I'm a GB fan but without Rodgers the team had no chemistry and a young beaten up defense, and winning the division at 8-7-1 was fun but only possible when Rodgers returned against Da Bears
I vividly remember watching this game in my parents basement with my little brother. he HATES the Packers. I was so nervous about this game. there were A LOT of packer fans at school who were just fuckin bullies. This win was SOOOO SWEET!
Was at this game in the best seats I've ever had. Sat in the actual folding chairs on the plywood scaffolds that used to be in the corner of the endzones. Row 1
When he was in Detroit a few years later, he had some good games pairing up with Calvin Johnson. Culpepper could still throw the football a mile. But the knee injury took away his mobility.

One of my favorite games I ever went to, what a finish. Often gets forgotten, thanks for posting
I remember this game, great comeback and clutch finish. Culpepper's last glory.
Two days later, the "Love Boat" scandal reared its head. And there went the Vikings '05 season, and Mike Tice's head coaching career.
One of the rare matchups in the last few decades where both teams were bad.

@@geminiman7791 that tie game. Oh yeah. Both teams stunk that year.
Thank you for making these videos that comes to show that you're a real hardcore vikings fan. Skol!!!
It always does my cynical old heart some good to watch the Vikings break the Packers hearts.

To say that I hated Donald Driver would be an understatement... always gave the Vikings headaches.
I love this team skol 💜💛
I LOVE IT!
GREAT GAME!
A 56 yard FG to win it - awesome!!
Look at Brett Favre's face
guess he never cared much for 56 yard field goals
Ironic that just four years later, Favre was on the other sideline wearing purple and gold.
SKOL 💜💛💜💛
This might have been the last decent game in Daunte Culpepper’s entire career.
When he was in Detroit a few years later, he had some good games pairing up with Calvin Johnson. Culpepper could still throw the football a mile. But the knee injury took away his mobility.
How did we win this game? So many mistakes
Both defenses, which had been horrendous in 2004, were much better this season but both offenses became liabilities. Sad to watch, less exciting.
Why did I have anxiety haha?
GET IN THERE!
I thought it was Opposite Day watching this. Vikings game winning field goal? Say that five times fast
Had us at the first half not gonna lie.
I forgot the Vikings 2-0'ed the Packers that year. The Vikings were terrible this year but the Packers were equally terrible.
Vikings were 9-7 that year. Packers were 4-12
Adam Goldberg at right guard 😳
Culpepper was good. it's just not as easy without Randy Moss. those receivers were okay but they had some bad drops.
Aron Rodgers is gonna have a very bad week 1 with Yanninck & Danielle
@raybrean9889 Jordan Love lol.
@@DerrickRG911 year later and love has more playoff wins than Kirk cousins. This is coming from a Vikings fan
Did he say, pass complete to Troy Williamson?
If Childress had never been hired, i think Williamson would've been a decent receiver. That guy wrecked a few players careers in MN.
So glad they never went back to the V as a midfield logo. Never really liked it.
Packers choke
Packers suck hahahahaha
Sbs?
