- Just months after the tragic loss of Korey Stringer, an injury depleted Vikings team looks to get back to .500 with a win over Favre and the Pack at the dome. Madden and Summerall have the call.

8:02 I love the collision and "Fuck!" as Kleinsasser smashes in for the TD.
2:59 Cris Carter jumped into the stands right next to me. I am wearing the white #80 jersey. That game was surreal. Started out frustrating then the Vikings just poured it on. I remember before the game we heard a loud jetliner noise (this game was about a month after 9-11) and the whole stadium just froze. No one said a word. My uncle sitting next to me said "what a statement that would make, a stadium full of people". The world had definitely changed.
Wow!
Awesome
That was one hell of a prank they pulled on us all. I believed it for like 10 years.
Did you suck carter's dick for 12 dollars and a milkshake? Twofer is implied, skol nation!!!
Man I miss Carter, Moss and Reed. I can’t believe this team never won a super bowl.
Also, Gary Anderson still gives me purple PTSD.
Beautiful memories
Gary Anderson is gayer than the day is purple, so idk what you mean
these were the days... you just never knew with this team. Culpepper, Moss, Carter could beat any team in the league when they were on
Did Culpepper fumble every game
Damn Madden could really be an idiot sometimes. I miss laughing at his commentary 😂😂😂
Favre vs domes
*Name a better duo*
Whipped GB's ass LOVE IT! My boy Carter 80 the best ever! Culpepper was so beast back then. Moss hit em with that flex and I remember they put it on Madden 2003 when Moss made a big play. I also remember Berman on NFL Primetime "Look at the ball just bouncing around, the Metrodome is like a House of Horrors for Favre" Those were fun times.
5:36 dude just burped on air
That was exactly what the Vikings thought Culpepper was going to be for 10-15 years. That play before halftime was like ok good luck stopping that, and moss to throw to.Wow. Instead Culpepper was more like that incredibly embarrassing fumble he had running into that big dumb dopey offensive lineman. Instead of the butt fumble it was the beer belly fumble.
I miss Dante’s ball just always go off the screen
Looking at those starters, no wonder that 2001 & 2002 teams were so bad. Back then I thought, “ no way these Vikings are this bad”
Kevin Hearn Do you have info on the win loss records of the Vikings' 2001 and 2002 seasons? Thanks! 😃
@@scoobycarr5558 The 2001 team went 5-11 and 2002 group went 6-10
The defenses were baaaad
Did pat burp at 5:37? Lol
no if it was pat it would've been louder it was an evp a spirit voice captured on their microphone they happen more than we realize
3 Deeps (Carter,Reed,Moss) final season together. The next year Carter would be in Miami, and Jake Reed would return to New Orleans for his last season as well.
these are all depressing. At the end of the day...every one of these Viking teams failed at the end when it mattered most
Crowd was awesome!!
Crowd was on FIRE! What a game this was. SKOL!
6:50 Classic Madden commentary
Wish I could see the full version of this...
A smack of the Pack. Great times.
Skol Vikings, let's win a fucking game
I don't remember half the names on that defense.
jbsmg one of the worst in nfl history?
gary cobiak with the exception of this game, yes.
Could you upload week 16 vs Packers, Dennis Green's last game
What an odd game this was. In the middle of a miserable season, the Vikings route their fiercest rival.
If Culpepper didn't get injured, I'm willing to bet we would've won those last 5 games and finished 9-7.
Ok. So my memory was right. Cris Carter did come back for one more season after the 41-0 against the Giants in the NFC championship. From some of Cris Carters more recent interviews he makes it sound like that NFC championship loss was his last game.
Dante Culpeper the fumble machine
Nawww ... Brett beat him out
Favre was a fumbler
He was a int thrower
No one fumbled more then dante
Looking back on that 2001 season, it was kind of sad to see. Sad in a sense that one way or another, big changes were coming. Plus the fact that the 2001 Vikings weren't very good pretty much sealed the fate of some players and coaches. The 2002 Vikings would look very different.
It was the end of an era for sure.
Yep. Cris Carter retiring, Denny getting fired, Jake Reed leaving. 2002 was a hard year to watch.
Look at that defense. No wonder they sucked
2:04 🤣
Jim getting a rushing TD ❤️
Great game.
5:37 Who the fuck belched?
it was an evp a spirit voice captured on their microphone they happen more than we realize
Post more games from the 99 season.
Homer dome hop!!!
When you hear John Madden talk about "loads" for 2 minutes straight, you really understand why he was an awful commentator. Lol
Chris Hovan. LOL
Nothing was organized about that rollout, John. I think you mean “designed”.
Nope if a SB winning coach say organized .... its organized.
bad memory we were coming in 4-1 and got our ass kicked by the Vikings
I just love the colors of the Vikings uniforms. Thats purple, that weird color they wear now sucks.
Just wondering - was this around the time when Vikings coach Dennis Green eventually got canned and set the stage for newcomer Mike Tice?
Yes, this was Green's last season.
Really sucked that during 10 years of being Vikings HC Green only had two losing seasons and thiswas one of them partly due to losing Stringer. There was too much going on to overcome andthe owner Red, should have stood behind Green. People may not want to talk about it, but there was a "Run Green out of Minnesota" campaign among the press (Sid) going back to 1995 (Green's first non playoff year at 8-8) after 3 straight years of going to the playoffs (2 division titles in 92 and 94) and going one and done in the playoffs (including two home games)The press and many Vikings fans were getting on Green for doing what Bill Cower was continuing to getsupport for in Pittsburgh. That is putting together playoff teams that keep finding ways to choke in the post season.
Skazellino Okeedokee thanks for the info
Mike Tice actually want a newcomer as he actually played TE for the Vikings at the end of his career. He is recently retired and back living here in Minnesota I believe.
somefuckindude Okeedokee thanks for the info
Football used to be so much better without all the flags for stupid personal fouls, like hit on a defenseless receiver.
Total BS noncall :55 obvious referee bias by not enforcing the 2yd interference rule!
SKOL VIKINGS!!!!!!!
Skol nation
Ftp
FTV Still have no LomyTrophies to back up your talking
