@@grayfox4819 Because of all Fire Emblem games, I think FE4 is the one that would benefit the most from modern quality of life upgrades. I loved the characters, story, music, but some archaiac elements made the large maps a bit of a slog to go through. If they could incorporate elements from the newer Fire Emblem games to make the gameplay a bit more dynamic, it would be a perfect game.
I hope that means remasters **and** remakes will be at the February Switch 1 direct, alongside that one big new game. There's still stuff like FE4 remake and F Zero GX that people are eagerly awaiting
I am a simple man with simple needs. If I see Tomodachi Life in the thumbnail- I click. Simple. I kinda doubt it'll happen, but it is probably one of my most wished-for games. Hopefully, PHBrazil is to be trusted, and hopefully, it's Tomodachi life. Also, like you, I really don't want a Tomodachi Life Remake unless they added a substantial amount of content. It doesn't take too terribly long to see everything it has to offer, so I hope its a new one if anything. Great video as always!
I also believe there will be another bombshell of a Nintendo first-party title, except this one would be prior to the airing of the rumored Nintendo Direct in February. Kit and Krysta replied to my comment on the podcast episode the week before the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal. They said that they believe a new Ice Climber game is coming this month, in time for Ice Climber's 40th anniversary.
Something before the Direct, and specifically before the February 4 Investors Meeting would be good. I'm not sure Ice Climber really moves the needle much though.
If we expand to cover Nintendo-published, and not just Nintendo-developed or Nintendo-owned-studio-developed then a possibility you didn't name is Bravely Default 3. Tomoya Asano said back in 2021 that a Bravely sequel was likely 3-4 years out, which is right around now. He also made a Twitter post back in February that teased new Bravely series news to come before end of year and we still haven't got it, but we now know there's something Bravely-related in the works at Square Enix. Nintendo published the three earlier Bravely series games outside of Japan, so we can't rule them out from doing the same again and Brazil's insights might be based on publisher info rather than developer info (especially as Nintendo is very secretive on who the developers are for their internal stuff.) It also fits all the descriptors of "niche", "new version of beloved series" (though the whole series being beloved may be debatable), and "not a remaster" I'm not at all saying it is. Just throwing it out there for consideration. In fact, I personally doubt it as a new series entry in Bravely Default 3 seems like something Square Enix would position for Switch 2, and financially speaking I think a Bravely Default 1 Remaster (with or without the End Layer sequel included) makes for a more attractive 2025 Switch 1 title, one which could potentially set the stage for a future Bravely Default 3 to be more successful than Bravely Default 2 was.
Okay I can't wait for what we could see for the Switch 1 Direct 7:57 Okay since Nate The Hate was real about the Switch 2 happening and I don't know about his rumor for a HD remake of Kirby Planet Robobot is also gonna happen as well this year but, I'm not gonna buy it unless they can add Kirby Triple Deluxe with Kirby Planet Robobot and make it a two-pack Collection so then we would have all the Modern Kirby Games in one console so that would make me happy if they do that for the Switch 1 Direct for this year and I still need to beat Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe 100% still before we move on to the next Kirby Game for Switch 2. And for Susie they could do like a Side Mode, a Epilogue, or a Prologue and add like her moveset from Star Allies and maybe she can use the Robobot Armor and I think they should do Susie trying to find Kirby's Robobot Armor and she actually uses it and then she brings it back to Kirby after the events with Star Dream now that would be cool if they do that for Susie. And I do hope we get to see a remake or a sequel for Tomodachi Life come to Nintendo Switch and adding the Miitopia Mii Maker in it so then we would have both Miitopia and Tomodachi Life on Switch now that would be cool for the Switch 1 Direct. But yeah I can't wait to see what new games we could see for the Switch 1 Direct this year.
I’m just gonna throw this out there when Pikmin enters the conversation- a Hey! Pikmin sequel/spiritual sequel that acts sort of like a Tech Demo for the Mouse-Con feature. If I’m looking at a Pikmin spin off, I’m predicting it would be an early Switch 2 title for that rather than a Switch 1 game. Get Pikmin on the ground floor early so Pikmin 5 has more of an audience built in on the new hardware. As for the Switch 1 title… you know what? Just popped in my head- what about Yoshi? Since Yoshi is not super talked about ever, what if there’s a new Yoshi game in the works?
Im fine with Tomodachi Life on the switch 1, as long as its a NEW game and not just a remaster. Its not a graphically intensive game, so just playing it as a switch 1 game on the switch 2 will be just fine.
12:55 Is it really too niche anymore? Yeah it's still somewhat of a niche franchise but it's literally thriving much more than ever now (even Nintendo themselves told us this), more people than ever are buying and playing Pikmin, having all the mainline entries easily accessible on 1 single console has helped with that and all of them have sold surprisingly well on Switch 1 with Pikmin 4 being the best seller of the franchise. Having more content for it will only help it even further which will eventually fully move away of that niche status it used to have.
I actually think the chance of this game being Rhythem Heaven is higher than Tomadachi Life. The fact that it doesn’t has huge sales potential makes it perfect for a last game when a new cosole is already out. Everything else you would want on your newer system cause you know they can sell well if handled propperly. Even other Niche but beloved franchises(which you need to have more than 1 product btw) like Nintendogs, Brain Age/Big Brain Acedemy, ect makes more sense for the Switch 2 tho personally I think those are done for the time being
This could be announced and come out before then, but either way we're probably getting another set of Pokemon remakes on Switch 1 after Legends and those are major lol
Or Metroid Prime 4, as its looking like Z-A is coming first if Black/White getting remakes later. (Of course, could consider Black/White remakes as major titles, too.) If Black/White remakes are real and coming in late 2025, then it means Z-A needs to get out the door very soon - as in April or May. They're probably not dropping both sets of games too closely to each other. And Nintendo still has yet to drop Metroid Prime 2 and 3, which I think everyone is expecting to happen before Metroid Prime 4 - not after. Z-A very unlikely as Switch 2-exclusive. Game Freak has a policy of very slow adoption to new hardware, preferring to support the larger previous generation's install base for a while. The Teraleak reportedly also indicates its Switch 1 and was meant for a 2024 release (i.e., before Switch 2), but I trust Game Freak's historical behavior more than leaks.
Didn't the Pokemon leaks list the 10th generation title as being cross-gen? If so, he's wrong about the final big game, regardless of what gets announced.
Really hoping for Tomodachi life makes sense not to save it for switch 2. Also that fe I've been waiting on as long as I was for engage it feels like tho in engages case it's because it was ready that whole time
Niche and beloved? I wanted Pilotwing, but that is not popular enough. If it is a game many want, I can only think of two titles. Or it will be a Star Fox or I expect F-Zero, any other title would probably disappoint me.
If it IS Tomodachi Life, there is no new chat/social/community feature for Switch 2. If there are new chat/social features, they will save something like Tomodachi Life for Switch 2.
Brazil said big new switch 1 game.. big remakes don't count.. so confused on why you tried to make this argument at first, and then called him correct in the end.
You really think Rhythm Heaven is more niche than Tomodatchi Life? Going to be honest you are the only person I've ever even heard of that even cares about that game.

FIre Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War army, rise up!
THIS DIRECT WILL BE THE FE4 DIRECT TRUST
My immediate guess would be a Fire Emblem game based on "niche but beloved" But also it's a been long enough since FE engage
This was my first guess
I don't understand why people want that game so badly. It's one of the most tedious games in existence, and I stopped it after 3 hours really...

He said on Famiboards that it could be a remake or new game, he wouldn’t confirm. It’s just not a remaster.
I hope that means remasters **and** remakes will be at the February Switch 1 direct, alongside that one big new game. There's still stuff like FE4 remake and F Zero GX that people are eagerly awaiting
Apparently the leaker said he considers remakes to be new games. Yep, its FE4 remake

15:31 Nintendo said they won’t do Punch Out anymore because of the stereotypes in the game characters
If it's either a new Custom Robo or F-Zero game or even a Star Fox Assault and/or Adventure remaster/remake, I'll be so happy.

It well might be😅
It’s amazing how much that Iwata mii looks like him

Exactly, exactly.
Fingers crossed for Star Fox. Samus Hunter mentioned it would have a new game in the style of Star Fox Adventures.
Golden Sun... Golden Sun... Golden Sun... Please!
Imagine it’s a new sin and punishment game
It's gonna be a new 99 game. XD

Once we get a new F-Zero game my life will be complete
🤓☝️: F-Zero 99
@raymaniqe1906 *A modern F-Zero game like GX or X lol

yooooooo a new rhythm heaven game would be phenomenal for me!
I really wanna play it on switch ,but i don't know why Nintendo don't announce series !!!
I hope it's a Captain Rainbow remake.
Pokémon Z-A is the last switch 1 major game.
This could be announced and come out before then, but either way we're probably getting another set of Pokemon remakes on Switch 1 after Legends and those are major lol
Nope Pokémon legend za is coming for the switch2

No way game freak never support new Nintendo console for multiple years. It switch one games play with backwards complatablity@@raymondrupp
I have my fingers crossed for nintendogs. Though I'm not sure how "big" that would be.
I will cope and hope it’s a Mother 3 Remake and Localization
And then Reggienator enters your room with raser eyes red...😅😂🤭
Someone ask him if it’s been leaked already

I would gladly take an Earthbound/Mother Trilogy on Switch.
Make it happen Nintendo!
Hopefully its a new Donkey Kong Country game or a 3D DK
Wind Waker, Twilight Princess? WTF Nintendo.
Praying for Kid Icarus or Tomodachi Life or Star Fox
It could also be a new Pilotwings or a new Dr Mario.
Both are not beloved by many.
Niche and beloved? I wanted Pilotwing, but that is not popular enough. If it is a game many want, I can only think of two titles. Or it will be a Star Fox or I expect F-Zero, any other title would probably disappoint me.

It might be new 2d Metroid by MercurySteam. I believe so...
Wario game could be another thing... Wario land style is one possibility, but higher chance of a warioware
hi BoTalksGames
Me thinks Fzero or Star fox.
Dare I dream…….Mother 3?
I have hope that we get a new Tomodachi Life Game.
Edit: either a Remaster or new game is fine.
Remaster? Nahh it's been over 10 years we need a full blown sequel
@@jusatesst To be honest I'm hoping for a new game too.
Tomodachi Life 2 guys, Tomodatchi Life 2.
New sin and punishment
TOMODACHI LIFE AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!
Brazil said big new switch 1 game.. big remakes don't count.. so confused on why you tried to make this argument at first, and then called him correct in the end.
didnt brazil say he counts remakes as new games though when he clarified? lol
Its Punch Out or TLOZ Four Swords adventure
Wariolaaaaand! (or Tomodachi life!) 😅
I vote for Rhythm Heaven
You really think Rhythm Heaven is more niche than Tomodatchi Life? Going to be honest you are the only person I've ever even heard of that even cares about that game.
Tomodachi Life is cute and id be ok with that, but my sister and I both love Rhythm Tengoku.
I want remakes of the super mario land series. All 3 on one cartridge. Thats a perfect thing for 40th birthday.
