PSA: The Nintendo switch 2 is VERY unlikely to release on may 22. The global hands on events stop in early June. They wouldn’t have those events post console launch. The people who are going to those events are the same people who are getting the switch on launch. What I’m saying isn’t fact but it seems unrealistic
I think it is still possible for May 22 - the only events after this are the Seoul event and potentially Hong Kong and Taipei. I'm not necessarily expecting an absolute like for like timing, but South Korea didn't get the OG switch until December 17
I also think Metroid prime 4 will launch with the system we are one the same page, Now the man said "for people who dont play mario kart" lol everyone one plays Mario Kart
I could see Nintendo swerving the weird casual title this time because i think Mario Kart is already covering the multiplayer aspect and there are plenty of party titles available from the OG switch library, so the mouse functionality will get demonstrated with something creative like Mario Paint - but im totally with you on MK9 and MP4
Something I think needs to be considered is that perhaps the reason is MK9 is at launch is because this time around the EP4 game is actually a Single Player showing off the Mechanics instead of a casual game.
The Launch Lineup I would love to see for Nintendo Switch 2:We know New Mario Kart is gonna be in the launch year,As for 3D Mario that is a possible and will mirror 2017,and we will see Baldurs Gate 3 on Switch 2 3rd Party wise.
the online playtest was not a game it was just something to test out things to be used in actual games
I think there might be a game there, but not one that is anywhere near release. I completely agree that the playtest was about all the behind the scenes stuff
I'm thinking that the launch lineup is going to be huge, especially with Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed pushing their launchers. I think that every game that is on Call of Duty HQ (Modern Warfare I - III, Black Ops - Cold War and 6, Vanguard) and the Animus Hub (Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, Mirage) is pretty much guaranteed to be Switch 2 launch titles.
I also think that just like with multi-gen games on Xbox, I think that Microsoft is going to allow you to upgrade Doom, Diablo, Skyrim, Wolfenstein, Minecraft, Crash Bandicoot, Grounded, Pentiment, etc. for free to Switch 2 versions. And that your Xbox account will be fully integrated with Microsoft games on the Switch.
Red Dead Redemption 2, Witcher III, Elden Ring, Fortnite, those are gimmes
Baldur's Gate 3 might be an interesting launch day game since it could showcase the usage of the Joy Con mouse. But maybe it's too big of a game to be releasing on the same day as Mario Kart and Elden Ring. The Day 1 JRPG is going to be a contest between Persona 3, Metaphor, FF7 remake or maybe even Tales of Arise.
Metaphor has to be the one
Mario Kart 9 makes sense as the day one killer app. I fully expect some day one JRPG ports like Metaphor Re:Fantazzio and Visions of Mana. The Switch got I am Setsuna and Disgaea 5 day one in Japan, so there's a precedent.
Switch 2 line-up gonna be crazy good 🔥
100% agree with these predictions. I think there’s an interesting discussion to be had about what cross gen games will come to Switch and Switch 2 over the coming year. I could see stuff like the HD Zelda games coming to both as they’re going to have a significant gap before we see a new proper Zelda game.
Why cant the mousecon game be mario paint?
I think because Wario ware expands on that idea greatly, sells his name and actually is a bit of a Bona-fide classic in itself so a sequel would be the Perfect game to display those controls.
We havnt had mario paint since the n64.... dd
And we get like 50 wario wares a year, even though Wario land is more fun imo...
@@SALARIER Because simply from a Business sense alone , MK9 and a Wario Ware at launch carries so much appeal. Mario paint would be limited, whereas ppl know WW offers many Party games in one and the Mouse cons would be great there. It also wouldn't make any Business sense to charge $60 for a mere drawing app.
Mario paint is more than a drawing app and warioware... how many have we gotten since the wii? I bought 1 or 2 on wii and Wario ware DIY which was cool because I was a game dev irl in game and for work..., besides that, just because mario kart was the first game we seen, dosnt mean it's a launch game... I would buy it but I think ssb would be a better test to see if they fixed the lag....
I guess we see Mario Kart X and some 1, 2, 3 Switch 2 game or a Switch 2 Sports Minigame Compilation from Nintendo. Meroid Prime 4 is a big maybe, I only see that as a possibility if we get remasters of 2 and 3 as shadowdrops in february and even then it might be too soon for the switch 2 launch in june.
For 3rd party titles my wild predictins are:
- Street Fighter 6 (I think Tekken 8 releases towards fall).
- Arc System Works is probably also releasing something. I don´t see them doubling up on Guilty Gear Strive so soon, so maybe Gran Blue Fantasy Versus (unless that is a PS exlusive?)
- Bandai: Yaeh Elden Ring most likely maybe also the SAO Fractured Something game
- Ubisoft: Some AC game will release (no idea which released last but that one) and i totally see them to release Rayman Legends again for Switch 2
- EA: I think they release FC 25 as it underperormed and they hope to recoup some before FC26
-Bethesda: Doom the Dark Ages is very likely, then Outer Worlds 2 in Fall/Holidays
-Koei Tecmo: Dynasty Warriors Origins and Venus Vacation PRISM (as Asia Exclusive). Ninja Gaiden 2 Black a few weeks later.
-Atlus: Metaphor ReFantasio at launch, P3R Complete in the fall.
-SQEX: Visions of Mana in the hopes it does better on the family system, but also FF9 Remake to canabilize it immediately.
I'm gonna play it as safe as I can here
1st party: Mario Kart 9, possibly a 3D Mario, some experimental title (think 1-2 Switch)
3rd party: Street Fighter 6, Resident Evil 4 remake, Visions of Mana, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
There definitely going be genre overlap day 1. Cause all major japanese publishers will want something there.
Id love to see new mario kart
With metroid prime 4
And 60 fps updates on
Zelda botw and tears
As well as mario odyssey and pokemon scarlet and violet
i've been thinking the exact same release date, i hope monster hunter wilds releases day one with the system.. would loove that game portably
Alright Bo, we have to remove the pilotwings slander! Pilotwings on 3DS was really good to me. ❤
As far as games go, I feel like it’ll be Street Fighter instead of Tekken on Day 1 since the former is a bigger deal in Japan.
I can see Dragon Quest 12 being revealed at the Direct and it may be a Holiday game or early spring 2026 game
Perhaps more of a tease than outright reveal. I conjectured the other day on r/dragonquest that Square Enix could merely tease it in the Direct, and tell everyone to come watch the full unveiling during a Dragon Quest Day livestream on May 27. This would greatly boost the awareness and viewership of their own presentation at little cost and allow their next premier title to have its own day in the sun rather than being lumped in with a couple of dozen other titles being announced the same day.
Square Enix will have enough to talk about at the Direct with the two Final Fantasy VII titles, perhaps Visions of Mana, and who knows what else down the line into 2026 or later (FF14? FF16? Promises that DQ12 and KH4 will be on Switch 2?)
I really don't think DQ12 will be a 2025 title though. They have historically hyped the mainlines for 12-18 months before release, and aligning to the 40th anniversary in 2026 seems more natural.
@lilisaur great points 👍
i think hi fi rush would be the Microsoft game that explode on switch 2 way more than sea pf thieves
Monster Hunter Wilds is a near certain launch day title you did not mention. Other games you didn't mention I think are possible include Metal Gear Solid Delta, Gotham Knights, Red Dead Redemption 2, College Football 26 (if launch is July), and Dynasty Warriors Origins (Ninja Gaiden is less likely in my opinion.) Digitally we'll see several more, including at least one of the Hoyoverse games, with Genshin Impact most likely, Zenless Zone Zero second most, and Honkai: Star Rail least.
Nintendo probably also bringing a smaller scale digital-only title, as Snipperclips was at Switch launch. Maybe this means four first-party launch titles. (I'm looking at Stretchmo, given the May 2024 trademark refresh.) Five if Breath of the Wild DX is a real thing (with the DLC included) and not just a tech demo or upgrade patch.
If Bandai Namco pushes Tekken 8 to launch and Sparking Zero to a few months later (which I concur is likely), they could drop Sand Land in there at launch as well. BN may wish to get that out there soon while the memory of Akira Toriyama's passing is still fresh in people's minds, and not wait a year or two on it.
Almost zero chance Final Fantasy VII Remake isn't day one, even if Metaphor is there, too. Square Enix will want Remake at launch so they can get to Rebirth as soon as possible (perhaps before holiday season.) Square Enix had six Switch releases in 2024 (DQ X Online 7.0, Saga Emerald Beyond, Romancing Saga 2 Remake, Dragon Quest III HD-2D, Life is Strange Double Exposure, and Fantasian), so at least three for Switch 2 in 2025 is very likely, and that means they'll want these games fairly spaced out. I don't agree with you that they'd make a big push late in year and try to dump all this stuff in a short period of time.
You live in a dream fantasy land LMAO!!!!
@@BrainWasherAttendent Why? I've listed games from different publishers, and the Switch third party support is expected to be much stronger than Switch 1. Anyone thinking there's only going to be 2 or 3 third-party games at launch (when there were already more at Wii U and Switch launches) just isn't paying attention. The big publishers are probably all going to have something lined-up at launch or very soon afterwards.
if you think I'm wrong on a game, explain why and offer alternatives. Metroid Prime 4 is maybe the only known-to-exist launch-window title I'm interested in buying (assuming it even is a Switch 2 launch title) so it won't hurt my feelings if you make a compelling argument for alternatives. Since I have practically no dog in the race, I'm more interested in what is most likely to happen versus what I "want" to happen.
On that note, I realize I didn't explain my reasoning for Dynasty Warrior Origins over Ninja Gaiden: money. Koei Tecmo keeps all the publisher's share of the money for Dynasty Warriors Origins. For the Ninja Gaiden games, that money goes to Microsoft instead, for which Koei Tecmo would get a much smaller cut. I'd find it very compelling to see Microsoft taking the lion's share if they had two published games at launch (with Doom being the other) while Koei Tecmo is effectively absent.
I can’t comment on the third party stuff, but I totally buy into the Mario Kart/Metroid Prime 4/Tech Demo EPD4 quirky couch multiplayer game core. Like, I’m pretty positive that Mario Kart is a launch title, and I have been convinced of Prime 4 being cross-gen, even a potential launch title. And then a couch co-op game just sounds right.
…Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac, though? Maybe?
Oh, also, maybe Yooka-Replaylee, for an actually revealed to exist kind of prediction.
The Switch 2 isn't even out yet. I think you meant Switch 1
No….
@WestonMeyer-n6x OK I got it. He flashed "switch 1". I wasn't paying attention to the screen when I was playing this
@@alpha-boss
This is all about Switch 2.
@WestonMeyer-n6x I know that, but he was talking about Capcom resident games coming over to the Switch 2. He made a mistake but corrected it with a flash of Switch 1 on the screen ..
Considering what Bandai Namco did for the Switch, I'm having doubts that Tekken 8 would even be on Switch 2 this year simply because I think they'll prioritize their licensed games like Dragon Ball Sparking Zero first before any of their own IPs due to their likelihood of selling fast.
I hope I'm wrong though because I want to play some traditional 3D fighting game on the go again and not have to buy a Steam Deck that cramps my hands. Lol.
And you do know iwata is dead 🙏 and furukawa is president now....
I'm with you on late May release
I wonder if they'll release the other two Doom games on Switch 2?
I just wanna see more of Mario kart 😍✨
If the new joystick simulation thing is real, they need an Astro Bot equivalent. Preferably packed in.
I think Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is something we could see. Hi-Fi Rush unless there's a rights issue. Is the NG Master Collection on Switch?
As long as Mario Kart is a day one game that's what we'll Lord willing get I like Mario and racing and playing gams online with other people and hopefully more classic games will get added to NSO on NS2 at times because lots of us still likes classic games at least we like -live-streams of them from YT channel Blue Television Games on Tuesdays.
they will not release mario kart on the same day as prime 4. that’s just bad business. that’s like if they release a new kid icarus on the same day as a smash bros. mario kart and metroid fans overlap more than u think
I think most people who buy a console on launch day would buy more than one title, and Nintendo will have data that backs that up (or contradicts it if I'm way off) so they will be fairly confident whether it is good idea to release both
Give me your opinions on these games coming to the switch 2 on a scale between 1-10.1 is no chance and 10 is oh yea
1. Mario Maker 3
2. Xenoblade Chronicles 4
3. Marvel Alliance 4
4. A new star fox game
5. Bayonetta 4 or Astral Chains 2
6. Marvel Rivals
7. Earthbound or Golden Sun
There are more games but for now how would rank these
All I want is Starfield
i wonder if i should even get this console hopefully it’s worth it
I predict it’ll be Mario Kart and Metroid Prime 4. One game is a multiplayer game for casuals and the other is a single player game for hardcore fans. Also 3rd party wise we’ll only see 2 big ones: Red Dead Redemption 2 and Elden Ring
I love your videos keep them coming especially the Nintendo switch 2 ones!
May 15 - this generation were getting AAA third party games day and day is DOOM day
RDR2 will be there and hopefully gta 5
Souls games for sure
NBA 2k always
Mk9 will be cross gen
COD 6
And all the rumours which are too much to name
Thw problem is that i dont see any thirdparty game for Switch2 and that is a problem , what happen to ninja gaiden 4 that is only por pc xbox and ps5 but not switch2 . That is a problem .
You can't see ANY third party? Can't wait for this to age like milk
They can’t reveal that even if it is coming.
All 3rd party games for Switch 2 in 2025 will be shown in the April direct.
For me Street Fighter 6, Metaphor Refatazio and Ninja Gaiden 2 would be my dream 3 outside of first party
Tbh a new Mario Kart is very boring
Yeah, but it will sell more than anything else ever would.
Xbox is Switch and Switch 2
I got another 3ds game to my collection
hi BoTalksGames
Ubihard....
I feel like Warioware should be in launch line up considering they don't exactly sell that much despite being released often lately(GIT came 3 years after Gold and Move It came 2 years after GIT).
I predict switch 2 compatibility for switch 2 games
FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL
Mario kart X, Ninja gaiden black
Hey hey 😡😡😡 I DON'T like switch 2 games (Delete! Ninja gaiden black🚫 and mario kart X🚫)
NOOOOOOOOO 🙅🏻♂️🙅🏻♂️🙅🏻♂️❌️❌️❌️❌️❌️ Delete
