Available Now: mercury-studio...
In 2016, Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman brought together their incredible talents and long experience of working in Yes to take to the road for a series of concerts celebrating Yes’ musical legacy of the seventies, eighties and nineties. Yes featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman toured first in North America and then brought their live show to the UK in early 2017, including this performance captured at the Manchester Apollo. The band are in superb form in front of a sell-out crowd who are clearly loving every minute of the show which includes classic tracks such as Roundabout, Owner Of A Lonely Heart, And You And I, Hold On, Heart Of The Sunrise, Rhythm Of Love, I’ve Seen All Good People and many more.

These guys are fantastic, Trevor Rabin is one of the finest guitar players on this planet
Agreed but I was happier when he was blowing the goodgrief out of a Marshall stack than all this dicking about with harmonisers etc. Trevor, I heard you cry wolf, but I can't hear you anymore 🐰
@@Twirlyheadlove how you quoted Heard You Cry Wolf, a true fan!!
I agree one hundred percent😊
If it wasn't for Trevor Rabin Yes would have been an afterthought in music history. The man was and is a musical genius. Yes, film scores, solo work. Musical Genius.
@@KeithLindsey-h2i Your kidding right? So you just negate the incredible music YES created long before Trevor Rabin was even playing guitar? Idiot.
J Anderson is blessed with an ageless voice that hasn’t changed in 50+ years.
Dont even a Octave less. He is a phenomenon.
Keyboard tech: So, Rick, how many keyboards should I set up?
Wakeman: Yes.
Not the most keyboards used during a yes concert, current keyboardist Geoff downes has the world record most keyboards used in a live setting at something like 21
:-)
Everyone you can find!
Most amazing KB's I have seen! Love it.
Jon Anderson / Rick Wakeman And Trevor Rabin... 3 monstros!!!👏👏👏
No doubt about it, but who is the lefty bass player? Thanks
Lee Pomeroy, ELO got it
I don’t care for this drummer’s lousy playing on this at all. If you’re not Alan White don’t take artistic liberty unless it’s f’ing gooood.
Well, this is bloody fantastic!!
Rabin's singing sucks, and he doesn't have a clue how to play guitar. He knows ZERO chords which is obvious when watch his left hand simply holding the guitar. That is why you never see him do solos.
Jon Anderson has still got that voice. Brilliant!
Derek Beauchamp isn’t it a miracle?!? He is like 900 years old and sings and looks great.
777jones Must be all that spiritual mysticism or 'shrooms.
holydrones Nothing wrong with New Age beliefs.
And Rick has still these wonderfull fingers !
Rick Bass ......and wizard-like capes.....
Jon Anderson is Unbelievable
What a phenomenal version. Better than the record. I still can’t believe Jon can sing and sound like he did in his 20’s. No vocal damage after all these years. And Trevor, what a musical genius.
Agreed! Everything YES played live was always better than the studio version.
I caught this tour back in October of 2016 in Durham. I got the VIP pass and got to meet them! I'm 40, and I have been a life long Yes fan. They were the first band I started buying albums for. I have more Yes albums in my collection than any other band. When I took up guitar lessons, Roundabout was the first song I learned. I had seen them twice prior with Anderson, Squire and Howe in the lineup, but never with Rick Wakeman nor Trevor Rabin. I avoided ALL recordings of prior shows of this tour, didn't look up the setlist, nothing. I wanted to be surprised. Big Generator was the album that got me listening to Yes back when I was only 7 years old, so I jumped out of my chair and totally lost my shit when they played this. They played SO many songs I had never heard live from seeing them before. I have every album, I can tell you the order of the songs on every one, and I know almost every song word for word. Seeing this concert was a dream come true for me, and they did an amazing job of playing songs both the "Classic" Yes era, and the more "mainstream" era such as Big Generator, 90125 and others. I was so happy from this concert I cried, no joke!
I have cried at almost all of the 40 shows I saw. Usually the Ander Squire Howe Wakeman and White. Impressive shows throughout the seventies. The Moraz lineup was also killer. Saw the 90125 lineup several times as well and equally impressive but apples and oranges.
Jon Anderson looks phenomenal for his age and that voice hasn't changed in years. Great performance.
Ursusdines Animalia just saw him this evening and thought the same thing. That man looks better with age, and his voice is as good or better than ever.
There's barely any difference from his voice today and in close to the edge..
Jon's voice is like a fine wine.
As a matter of fact, his voice has gotten BETTER.
@@whiskaudio I agree. He is actually more on pitch than he was in the 70's. And that's not just pitch correction for the video, this is how he actually sounds in concert. Amazing
Always loved the Anderson-Rabin combo. Compliment each other very well.
Rabin doesn't have a clue how to play guitar. His lame attempts to so are a joke.
No Playback, real thing. Real bands.
Yeah, that has been autotuned in post production.
Jon's voice is still fantastic. Also he looks great and *bang on* for the present moment. This is pretty much how a live gig should be recorded. I love it.
except that not all of it is live
You just had to go and burst my bubble . Eh eh..
It's not samples. It's done via studio overdubs well after the gig. And then it's mixed. In all fairness, most bands do this to some degree. But ARW does it more than most and Rabin is known to have done that on his most recent live album to a high degree.
real musicians, playing real instruments in a real song with real melody, real harmony and real rythm!!! It can not be real.
It's all real. But its not all live.
You can clearly hear and see the drummer mess up at 1:31. Very honest of them to leave that in the video as they could have patched that up in post.
@@keviniles8748 That drummer is Steve Smith. Journey and after a phenominal jazz drummer too!
@@EricJohn2008 Not Steve Smith. It's Lou Molino III. Used to play with Kim Mitchell and played on Rabin's solo album Can't Look Away.
Wow. Jon Anderson sounds fantastic! Never would have hoped for that. Impressive.
This is an exercise of perfection.
Stay together guys - this is the way to do it - nothing better - real music and real musicians (no copy cats!). Jon Rick and Trevor plus the excellent Lee and Lou - you have put together such a performance and interpretation on such great music. A repeat of this tour next year would be wonderful for all the people who couldn't make it last time . . . . Just WOW!!
Lee Pomeroy: KICKS MAJOR ASS on his bass playing here, people!!!!
Can't believe how good they still sound, I really miss Chris Squire, I really didn't think the band could survive without him. I forgot how this band constantly changed lineups over the years and still goes on, a great tribute to Chris Squire who I will always consider the heart of Yes.
You could tell Jon was amazed at Rick Wakemans consistant ability to perform at the highest level...
Andersons voice is still perfect! AMAZING
Mr. Wakeman and Mr. Anderson keep the faith and bind the sound !!!
Excellence Personified !!!
Carlito Falcon ♦️ U. S. A. ✓
Boy, I miss this stuff!
I would need to use most of my toes and all my finders to count all the Yes live shows I have attended (Met them in Vegas in the 70s) I am truly amazed at how durable the YES trademark has been, given the changes in personnel over the years and the heartbreaking loss of Chris. With that said, THIS lineup, AWR or whatever name they will perform as captures the purest essence of YES as I want to remember them. I cannot remember Jon's voice being any more pure and powerful as it is, even at his age. I admire how the immensely talented Lee Pomeroy has taken to playing Chis' role with such precision of notes and sound and obvious JOY. I have watched Lee add his talents to the likes of Steve Hackett and ELO. Thank you guys for keeping that sound alive and PURE.
All my life I have listened to this mythical band of the 70's !!! I just love them so much..that sound is so unique!!!! Love Jon Anderson!!!!
Rick God Wakeman simply THE BEST! What a great solo at the end!!!
He is a legend in his legendary habiliment.
Rick Wakeman was the reason why I started playing keyboards 40+ years ago. I still want to be him when I grow up.
That was an amazing solo!
Emerson and Wakeman, the greatest of all time. Period.
He doesn’t just look like a wizard with the cape, he is a wizard. The cape just adds the look. Wakeman is a genius. I would rank him up there with Keith Emerson.
Those harmonies. That driving bass and just great music is what makes them so enjoyable. Saw them several years ago. So enjoyed the concert.
Wow! That's an insane keyboard solo!
The Best Band ever!!! I have been listening to them for 50 years.
Man that was awesome. One of the best songs live imo.
In my opinion, there's only 2 keyboard players worth listening to.....The Wizard here, Mr. Rick Wakeman....and the master of the Hammond, Mr. Jon Lord (RIP).....we miss you Jon....
This is one of my favorite moments from the concert I saw on this same tour, in Kettering, OH in September, 2017.
Jon Anderson still has his great singing voice. He has a style of his own which is great
Killin' it at 70 years of age!
One of my favorites from these guys. Jon's voice is as good as it was 30 years ago. Just amazing.
This line up works well together. The virtuoso solo from their best keyboardist is awesome! Imagine if Wakeman had been in their eighties line up! Trevor's guitar and songwriting was responsible for Yes's comeback and best selling record...
Incredible! I love those capes that Rick wears!
I'm from argentina and love yes
il solo di Rick semplicemente fantastico!
Giorgio Marchetti e poi in Italia osannano Roby Facchinetti, dicendo che è il migliore. Mi vien da ridere. Mi scusi l'intrusione.
Nice to see Jon in good health, singing great, and enjoying his time making people smile. Rick Waksman is masterful. Anyone notice Lee Pomeroy from ELO on bass???
Um yeah, a lot of us have known that LP was playing bass with ARW for over two years now. So, yeah, we noticed him!! Lol.
Lee has more fun than the others together. He pimpt the show
@@andrescheeren1513 he is good, but if the other guys wouldnt have fun they didnt play for 50years
Yes. He was playing bass for Jeff Lynne's ELO when they played Denver in summer, 2018.
@@nztrekker excellent bassist!
Awesome Performance
Amazing Song
Brilliant Vocals
Thanks For The Great Awesome Sharing
EXCELLENT ♥
Just love this. Great version. Mr Pom smashes it bass wise.
The more I see this, the more I miss YES WEST.
Something really Special about that period.
They kept alot of prog roots, thanks to Chris. Trevor changed it up a bit, because of his musical background. Pop and Orchestral. YES now appealed to so many more.
It's a very romantic, "hip" sexy pop feel( if u will), and had this Great Musicianship that YES always has.
TALK was outstanding. From the song writing, Vocals, and Production. Thank You Trevor Rabin, OUTSTANDING.
Amazing performance! Yes never disappoints. Trevor was really on fire, great vocal, guitar and gorgeous as ever. Jon's voice is still outstanding!🌹😘
Increíbles!!! Una de las mejores bandas de la historia. Nunca dejaron de ser progresivos ni en sus canciones "poperas"
SUCH a great tour! Such a perfect band. Loved how Pomeroy and Lou are just fitting in as equals to those 3 super-heroes.
Шикарно! Тридцать лет слушаю этих парней и не могу наслушаться. Вот, культура!
AWESOME John, YES IS THE BAND.
HELOW FROM BRAZIL. 🤣😅😁💡💡💡💡
Music that soars through my soul, even farther to the Heavens with such clarity and masterful genius! God Bless!!! ❤❤❤
Best voice in the whole of Rock music..
As good as it gets and Lee and Lou ... what great additions great musicians To round out the band. Trevor Rick And Jon. A perfect circle
How does Jon Anderson do it? Amazing. Love WILL find a way!
Phenomenal live performance! Incredible live sound! True nusicians!
Rick Wakeman is also still just amazing - nothing lost here at 69 years of age.
Much better than any pill for depression. Wonderment and incredible journeys.
You bet. Music is the universal healer. ❤
Masters of the universe...
I think we should be thankful to have two great bands playing Yes instead of complain.
You don’t have to be a yes man to be a yes fan
Maybe a 3rd Trevor Horn Yes?
Andre MacDowell I’ve seen both versions live and you’re absolutely right.
Agreed but can't split Jon Anderson in half..
This is the real YES the other is just an old tired combo resting on their laurels without the heart of the original which is obviously Jon Anderson’s amazing voice.
Это великолепно, ребята!
OMG this is so AMAAAAAAAZING!!!!!!!!!! Rick's solo - man this is incredible!
Vocals and instrumentals so perfectly blended!
Супер!! Андерсон и Рэбин это мощь! Вот это действительно Yes !!!
I just love RICK WAKEMAN’S cape, it’s so cool.
Innocence no answer
To your breaking heart
If the situation
Sometimes falls apart
Then in this ecstasy
Your charms are frozen
No emotion falling through your arms
Morning, daydream, time still growing shorter
Take me over lead me to the water
To the rhythm of love
The rhythm of love
The rhythm of love
Why should I escort you
To your secret needs
Climbing up your ladder
I keep falling down
Anyway will do
Anyone will do
When you dance to your darkest tune
Surrounded
As you crawl around the room
Night time fever burning till you're higher
Take me over lead me through the fire
The rhythm of love
To the rhythm of love
The rhythm of love
To the rhythm of love
Morning daydream midnight fever
Morning daydream midnight fever
Inhibitions keep you from your point of view
Information needing to confuse
In this situation I have found you
In the rhythm of
Morning daydream midnight fever
Morning daydream midnight fever
Rhythm of love
Rhythm of love
To the rhythm of love
Rhythm of love
Wakeman, man in a cape. Loved Yes since I was six years old.
"YES" Amen!
When you’re this good there will never be any ageism. 👏👏
Rick Wakeman that Wizard 🎹
I listen to this song when I feel sad and it just lets me be free!!!!!
Una de las bandas mas bestiales del progresivo simplemente genios musicales
I love Yes. Jon Anderson is the voice of Yes. Jon Anderson is a founder member of Yes and is the only original member playing in either band. Jon wrote most of Yes hits over the 35 years he was a member.
Augmuse
TK joined YES for "their", 50th anniversary tour.
Augmus, how is Jon Anderson a founder member of YES? He is a founder but not a member. He doesn't sing or play with YES.
He did not write most of the hits! He collaborated on many of them, but did not write them alone. Long Distance Runaround and Wondrous Stories are the only "hits" from the top of my head! We Have Heaven and A venture are two prominent ones.
@@JonasRafnarIngason
I do so like A Venture, And We have Heaven. Fantastic.
But not hits.
Jon has stated himself...Yes has had two hits...Wonderous Stories, and Owner.
I love all YES.
But to be fair, Steve had Bill intergal part of 70S. Rick, Alan, TK, Patrick.
Eighties Trevor...owner was all Trevor's tune.
Not to mention SQUIRE.
THE Music has us captivated. Not just the Voice or lyrics.
Love Jon, and saw ARW last year, and soon again, but YES OFFICIAL still needs some credit.
BILLY SHERWOOD ROCKS.
He most certainly did not write most of the Yes catalog.
They sound so so so good! This is the standard! If you're an older group, you have to be able to hit this bar.
Mucho bueno. Todo. Gracias Wakeman, Anderson, Rabin and all in the band. Beautiful performance.
Simply awesome! Yessss!
I'm so lucky to have seen Yes 6-7 times between 1974 and 1988 or so. ,
THIS IS THE SOUL AND SPIRIT OF YES !!!
Cuanta delicia auditiva. Una clara muestra que el arte en su máxima expresión es eterno!!!.
Saw them the other night at the Greek. Trevor was performing with a strained voice, as a singer myself I felt for him. He sounds great here. Amazing. Jon is Yes!
Anderson Rabin Wakeman on the same stage oh my. What a dream come true!
WOW..... soooooo happy to see Jon again! For me... he is YES, and will always be... and Trevor Rabin, I LOVE the Rabin years... and the of course Rick Wakeman... oh my gosh! Stunning... just stunning! This is it as far as I am concerned!
Just the right amount of cape.
Jon’s voice sounds great!
Yessss
this is so dope seeing Rick Wakeman play stuff from the Big Generator era.
Why anyone would give this a thumbs down is beyond me! Such musicianship ... such vocals!! Brilliant!!
This is what i call "YES"
"
that dude has a fucking command center made of keyboards, legend
These guys are playing with joy in their hearts and its obvious. The arrangements sound so fresh and energized. To quote another commenter, we should feel lucky the guys are still out there playing their asses off. I for one am looking forward, albeit somewhat wistfully, to the 2020 farewell tour...and still desperately hoping they do CTTE one last time
Timeless
Lee is a very adept Bass player and fits in perfectly .superb perfomance from The Lads
the architects of music eternal
what an awesome concert!!
Yes forever
So lovely
This song is so cool, I just love it! And it sounds great live too! They still have it! Even though the members aren’t the same! Actually they are better!
If there is one classic rock singer whose voice has generally stayed the same, it is Jon Anderson's. He never ceases to impress me as the decades roll by.
This band is so good I can not believe how good they are wow every body in the band I have followed all my life I am 66 years old and wow keep up the good work guys. Ps I miss the bass player. I got say geddy lee filled in at the rock and roll hall of Fame very very great the guy would have Ben very very proud
Still has a fab voice .
Awesome!Longtime fan .They sound great!
Yes is the best band
Oh YES
Wow jon anderson voice still in great form
Saw them in 2002 and earlier in 1974.....still got it!
I seen YES at the 35th Anniversary Tour at MSG 5/13.2004 and this is the song they opened up with.
The Best live Yes out there right now. I've seen both versions.
I couldn't disagree more. I've seen ARW three times and every show they have train wrecked at least one song and, once, almost to the point of having to stop entirely and start over. I've seen the real Yes 12 times and I've never seen them have that problem.
CNC...if I was unlucky, then I have been all three times I've seen them. And you are correct about the real Yes not being flawless either. But they are much closer to it than ARW are...at least from what I see and hear. (And I have seen/heard many many boots other than just my own.)
@donutcookiepie: Are you a musician? What instruments do you play?
beatlesrgear no he/she is a fuckin donut.
Im a keyboardist and a bassist. And I've played with two major label bands but I'm not gonna give away my ID.
