You guys are absolutely fantastic. Your boat is going to be so beautiful. One day, you will say, "All the work was worth it." I've enjoyed every episode of your build. I'm looking forward to you sailing around the world. Oh, how I wish I was younger and could enjoy the time you will have cruising the world.
For HOURS after watching an episode, the outro song bounces around in my head!!! I can't wait to see your faces on splash day. That will have to be extremely rewarding after all the backbreaking work you have put into your boat Unless I am wrong, it has overtaken your lives for the last 2 + years. The force is strong in you two!!!!
One day at a time. Been a lot of days. Good to see a completed boat, I have seen a few others come to completion. I know it's gonna be beautiful, its got a lot of love in it. ❤🙏
I'm quite sure you can remove the epoxy with a card scraper. Myself l would have given serious consideration to other products such as the OSMO line and Oddie's oil products for the interior wood. Things are starting to come very nicely together. Stay the course and continue being very particular in achieving the ultimate goals you want. I think it is looking awesome.
I build campers , and vans. sometimes it gets difficult, then I watch you and laugh, Im gonna stick to campers. great work guys, hard work but the pay off is just around a few corners.
Acorn.,.. just sailed through the Big Apple on their channel.... giving us a sneak peek with their channel.... can say I've met you both, or rather met Matt when you guys were building Elements. Met Steve in Mystic Wooden boat show....
This is a huge project and very interesting to see how you guys push forward. I like to wish you only the best for 2025 and many visible changes to encourage you on this journey. Looking back, would you do this again? Best Siegfried
It's Alix and I don't think it's strange at all. It was Steve's boat from the begining. It was Steve's dream and Steve cut his own woods to make it out of. Alix was friend and pertner on channed but he decided to get off the project and that's all. It was said that Alix has ill father to take care of and also wanted to start his own projects.
Given that you used an epoxy primer, I would not have taped the bare oak. Then paint on the neat epoxy onto the oak, lapping at least 1/2" onto the primer. That way you are guaranteed to completely seal the oak to the painted surfaces. Then you tape the oak that is fully protected to paint the topcoat. I would suggest using Green Frogger tape because it is much less susceptible to the paint bleeding out under the tape. I have ruined too many paint jobs with blue tape.
Go to an auto part store, or auto paint supplier, get some fine line tape. Will work so much better for protecting the edges of ur wood from paint intrusion
Please M/J WILL you each out to Mike Essa and Family they are wanting to learn about Sailing and Buy a Kat. Please Help them so they Don’t get Screwed. He just started. Mike is a FamousDrift Car Champ. Thanks
Hello, love your videos for years! Could you just switch off the AI auto translation before you publish ; it is super annoying. No emotion at all ! Thanks again for sharing your experiences
Arabella is a fine boat. Been following Steve since the beginning.

MJ Sanding is the best!!!!

We will be hitting 4 years in March!! 😯. Yes, we're at the point now where we can't wait to be in the water. Hopefully 2026 will be the year!!
I’m absolutely flabbergasted at the amount of work you two have taken on. And yet it seems not once have you let fatigue tempt you to cut corners!

Молодцы, радуюсь на Вас, трудности они у всех. Успеха и здоровья.
Great work, keep it up.
Wow! I've been following along throughout. It is REALLY showing progress in this video! Looking great!
Keep up the great work and stay warm.
Thank you so much!! I can't wait to see how different this area looks in a few weeks.
I can't wait to see more paint on the boat next week! Progress!
Hell yeah been waiting for this I think you guys are doing a fantastic job and I will patiently await the next installment....Good things take time :)
Your boat will be gorgeous, too!!!!
Inching there. Keep on keeping on.
Insane amount of surface prep.

I think you two just love filling and sanding. The walls must be twice the thickness of when you started 😂

Starting trim work! Yahoo.
Can't wait to veneer the cabinet doors!
@ I imagine anything besides sanding and fairing fiberglass 😃
Mushroom coffee; that sounds rank!
Haha, the stuff I have isn't bad - tastes like instant coffee.
I feel like I'm watching a Rolls Royce car paint job, I think they put 14 coats on before it is finished. You have more patience than me!

Jess mentioned diesel heater. Did you guys install a heater in the boat?
For interior two coats of varnish works fine
STEVE!!!
Watching your channel is always a fascinating and educational journey. Keep leading us into the world of your creativity and inspiring us!❕🌞🖕
_I gotta keep chasing that butterfly in that dream of mine...._
Funny, Steve doesn't even mention Alex and that there were 2 of them that had that dream.
Whole channel is kind of odd!

9:28 Was that a "cup of much needed coffee" or a "cup of mushroom coffee"?
Both, haha. But mushroom coffee is what I said.

Seems to me, the whole boat is a time consuming project. You two are pretty hardcore,at working every single day except Sunday!
Ok I wish you guys the best but I’m tired of sanding. Thank you.
