His father and brother are with him every turn. Michael's skill and there spirit is a combination. Joey will be laughing his ass off with joy when he gets it.
I'm so glad to see the focus that Michael Dunlop is recieving, for showing us all what we men can go through, and _survive_ these insurmountable hardships. As a man, I admire him beyond measure. He is a great teacher, without even trying to be, and as someone who is battling mountains of grief, its good to see that we can get through this, and continue to live as our departed loved ones would wish for us. Basically, it's great to see other men openly acknowledging Michael's grief and struggles, and supporting him is priceless to see. We don't have to suffer in silence any more. That's a priceless message to spread.
I've been following motorcycle racing for all 38 years of my life.. And I kind of know how Micheal feels, as I lost my Dad to racing, when I was 11 years old, while he was racing at olivers mount.... and as hard as it is to watch videos like this, and all the sadness I have felt over there last 27 years, missing my dad everyday, I still cannot pull myself away from the sport that I have been obsessed with all my life.. its tough, but we love it.. And I know if Joey and Robert, and William were still alive today, they would be cheering MD on for them extra wins... "Go-on lad" they would be saying as they watched him fly by.... I know one thing is for certain, that if he does beat Joeys Record. In my eyes he will be the Greatest of all time, and thats even after spending the last 20 years saying that Rossi is the greatest... I think MD deserves that honour, if he beats Joeys record. Respect, and I cannot wait for this year's races. ✊️😁
There are those who ride and then there are those who live to ride. At 18 car nearly cost me a right leg, many operations 2 yrs laid up but weeks after castvwas removed, I rode again. 61 and it is still a passion. I get I it. Nothing but death can stop some of us from riding. I get your passion, most do not and call us crazy. But to give up on your passion would be crazy.
I didn't like him initially, now he's one of my favourites. He's just there to race bikes. Fame, status and attention are just unwanted byproducts. Good man. 🫡
Good man michael , nice to hear him saying he’s from Ireland 🇮🇪 , history will be made this year & I’ll be there to see it as I do every year , been going to the tt since 1991
I went for the first time aged 61, in 2015. Met John and Bruce and all the other big names. Balls of steel each and every one of them. To stand at Kirkmichael with the lads going through that left-handed kink at 170+mph, sucking the air from the space behind them only metres away, is the most viscerally authentic experience I have ever had at a motor sport event. To do what they do, their lives on a knife edge travelling the length of 4 cricket pitches every second, is beyond description.
I grew up on the North West circuit, sitting as a child in awe watching the gladiators fight it out on the Coleraine Road . These men are the reason I ride today. The Dunlop family are legends where I’m from and rightfully so. Keep er lit Michael 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I feel privileged to witness this mammoth changing of the guard in my lifetime. To think that this dude doesnt compete like the others in race series throughout the year, just turns up and smashes it out the park... An unbelievably natural talent
Thanks very much for this season. It's been fantastic viewing. I know it's a niche market so I would find it entertaining. But never the less its been fantastic! I have recommended it to anyone who stands still for long enough.
And now We know, He is The King of the Mountain, and once he hit the 26 the shackles of expectation were off. We've watched, and were privileged to see his ascent.
I just know I’m going to get to witness Micheal make #26! they’re all pure riders and pure talent.. craziness . I’m just in awe of how each of them finds the grit to run !
Real legends talking about a man who's going to carry the Dunlop legacy the depth in the way the speak the isle of man creates absolute gods on a motorbike the respect any man deserves t put his leg over a bike at near 200mph on closed public roads x
To anyone who hasn't read Michael Dunlops' book, get a copy and read it. Your respect for the man will increase immensely. An absolute legend, and a man who totally deserves the name of King Of The Mountain.
What an excellent series this has been and Monday is just around the corner....my heart is racing, can't wait and have only the maddest respect for all TT riders, but Michael...Legend. Bring it on!!!
man we are so fk close 2024 TT... After this video, iim fully of Goosebumps.... Michael Dunlop have my respect and my admiration..... i dont wanna be selllfsh but.. man, he just live forever dude !!!
I'd love to see John get one more and I know if everything lines up it will happen go John you are amazing and dean and dunlop you boys are going to do it good luck 👍🏻 boys
Michael Dunlop is a pure racer, stunningly talented tough as teak but just like all the men and women who challenge this course a great motorcyclist. All who race on the isle are heroes to me and thousands an thousands of other mere mortals
I agree with a lot of what is being written and said here in the comments. It's hard to watch without a lump in my throat, I'd love Michael to do it, but please don't try too hard. There are so many good ones there now, it's only getting harder. Fantastic series, by far the best. Chapeau.
Man I wish I could get over there from the States, this year is going to be a LEGEND of a year at the Isle's. Dunlop is going to make things even more special. I wish all the rider's could win this year, but it can't work out that way. I pray all the racer's go home healthy to there families. 🙏🇺🇸🗽🇮🇪🗽🇬🇧🙏
The Dunlops own road racing ! Who's going to better their record ? First, you need two sets of father-son and brother-brother family road racers! Good luck with that to start. Dunlops are legends in their own lifetimes, as short as they tragically have been. Long live Michael.
McGuinness is the smoothest round the track. Would love to see him win again. The way Dunlop races is heart in mouth stuff. Hickman is pure speed and class… he looks to be the best of the lot.
6:33 ! Imagine ! … Conor Cummins paying that respect and compliment to MD! Just imagine what Conor himself went through and saying this 😢😢😢… it’s just something about TT gladiators ❤🙏💪🏼🤷♂️🤌🫶… if they don’t inspire you check your pulse !… these guys are literally “second to NONE”! Let MM93 and VR be kings! MD is GOD of speed 🙏🇺🇸🫶🩵🇦🇱🇽🇰… each and every one of them IS SPECIAL …
Joey is the GOAT (greatest of all time), Michael is the BOAT (the best of all time), and John is the King of the Mountain Course. That’s my breakdown. To me, I cannot fathom anyone else having the staying power that McGuinness possesses. To be in his fifties and put down lap times competitive with the top guys is something unfathomable.
People need to stop talking as though MD breaking through the wins is a done deal. Nothing is a done deal at the TT. Lots of things can go wrong to stop riders getting a win. Sometimes the worse thing can happen. And MD can well do without the pressure of expectation. Let's just enjoy it for what it is and if it happens, it happens. If someone else wins, they deserve it.
So who's here after the 2024 TT, since Davey got his first win and a senior win, Hickman equalling Hailwood's 14 wins and of course Michael setting a new record even with helmetgate costing him time and the win and of course not only matching Joey but taking over as the all-time king of the mountain by raising the bar to 29 wins? If Michael can keep winning at this same rate, he could potentially be looking at easily high 30s to mid 40s, maybe even higher. 🤯
For John 2 win again he is going 2 have 2 be willing to put it all on the line, the times that the front runners are putting down in today TT's is crazy fast. And I'm just not sure he is willing 2 do that in this stage of his career. I would luv 2c him win it again, that would be Legend on top of him already being a Legend. My main thought is that all riders go home safe and healthy to there families. Lots of luv from the States. 👍🇺🇸🗽🇬🇧👍
T be able t do what Michael Dunlop does 😯his happy place is on a bike with the memories the legacy he's being guided by something n someone nobody will ever comprehend ye can't push a 600 that fast rand iom he's being pushed by something no-one that a Dunlop could understand ❤
56 wins for the dunlop family 56 and god knows how meny podiums and it look highly likely Michael will add to that this coming week an incredible record and probably will never be surpassed .
2024 is going to be historic. Enough to reduce old men to gibbering heaps of tearful jelly. Mr Dunlop doesn't need any silly comments on the interweb. But shit I hope he does it.
One of, if not the best Motorcycle series on UA-cam ever…👍👌🇮🇲💖
It makes my day getting this notification
best motorcycle series anywhere, hands down.
@@chrispritch my bad, yes…not one of the best, The Best…..👍👌🇮🇲⭐️
I wait every week buzzing for this series
Not one, the best
William, Joey and Robert spirits all riding side by side Micheal all smiling for him to win

Nicely put!
The difference between life-and-death such a fine line and they live it.❤.
Some people never live, they exist.. they fear, fear itself. When really there is nothing to be afraid of.
So true, words to live by.@@evelghostrider

It is more than 50 years since I lived on the Island, even now as an old man, the sounds of those bikes gives me goose pimples
