Another negative about yone although also applies to yasuo to some degree is how much more difficult they make balancing ADCs just by existing anytime a change to ADC items occurs they have to also change yone so that it doesn't become to op

Melee with superior attributes, with RANGE OF RANGED CHAMPS, BARELY NO COOLDOWN ON SKILLs, CCS, ULTRA SUSTAIN OR DEFENSE, and MOBILIT THAT MAKE IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP RANGE WITH MULTIPLE DASHES, becouse only one its not enogh for trash player.

I remember when Skarner's rework hit PBE and people found out his E could stop Yone's Soul Unbound recall. Riot fixed that one with a quickness.

@@silque_brigandess Yone doesn’t get special care, he is simply one of the most played champs in the game, meaning bugs get noticed faster and have a bigger impact, since a popular champions big bug is way more import than a rarely played champion having a minor bug. Of course every bug should get fixed, but riot is simply not capable of doing that, so they need to prioritize the more important bugs over the minor bugs

something i want to add, just a small annoyance with new champs in general (including yone): WHY DO SO LITTLE ABILITIES GET CANCELED BY CC??
Yone's ult doesn't even get canceled by death, motherfucker's swords move on their own.
It does get cancelled by death, the animation doesn't. Still enough to spook you tho :)

thats simply wrong tho, his ult does get cancelled by death, only not by cc because well its an uncancellable windup, like many other abilities like skarner ult, briar E, irelia W, aatrox q etc
Remembering when it was a pretty big deal that Vi couldn't get cc'ed during her ult, not half the abilities on champions still going off or are cc immune.
His Q is shut down when airborne it still comes out but it doesn’t hit anythjng
Personally the thing that frustrates me the most about yone is that cc doesnt stop anything he does, you can stun him durring the cast time of his ult but it still goes off, you cant stun him out of 3rd q, and you cant stun him out of his e, so it just feels like he doesnt have any counterplay unless you just statcheck him to death.

thats a lot of champs tho, its not like the cc simply doesnt work, its that he can buffer them, meaning he needs to activate in a very specific timing for him to cancel the cc. the only unstoppable thing about him is his e recast, which has to be buffered. he cant recast if he already got hit by cc
The funny thing is that you CAN stun him out of these things (not r tho). The window is just so short only massive cc moves from tanks or massive no no zones like Taliyah E hit it consistently.

I agree 100% a big problem is people saying his E to "cleanse" is a good skill mechanic. I can tell you right now that shit is not hard to do, and it really happens on accident more often than not. I propose his E can be hit like similar to how illaoi works.

Even tho Yasuo windwall is annoying, i'd rather play against a good Yasuo than a good Yone because he only has 2 damaging abilities, a targeted dash and requires 10 times the amount of skill and effort to be good

well he does not have true dmg, its a misconception a lot of ppl have with his e. it does replicate the 25-35%dmg to 100% so it is shown in statistics as true dmg. but it replicates the dmg that has already been negleted by mr/armor.
You can’t even do the Showmaker K’sante meme for this champ because he has too many features to fit in that template

you missed that he was created so Yasou player have someone to pick when Yasou is banned, which means there is next to 0 cost for spamming his abilities.
He has a zero risk engage with his E so the second he feels threatened he teleports back so there's no counterplay to him engaging you. Also his ulti is a blink and buggy so you can't counter it with cc
And riot says that zed needs to be kept weak because he's too op otherwise... But Yone is fine, like you said, he even gets compensation buffs whenever he is supposed to be affected by a nerf...
Ok but like, both are problematic, like, an assassin that plays like a control mage by poking constantly during laning phase only to later tower dive you with ignite and ult and then leave with his shadow without you being able to properly counter him unless you have like, a strong point and click cc or a supression(malzahar), and yone, well, you saw the video, right?
@@xarao Sure, but my point is that only one of them is under scrutiny, while the other is actively supported by riot. Also, I don't think a character created in season 3 is as 200 years as the peak example of that meme. They're not even remotely close in toxicity. Zed is clearly counterable, Yone's not, Zed has difficulty dealing with tanks, yone usually doesn't, Zed has almost no magic damage, yone has split scaling. Also, yone has no resource bar, big and forgivable AoE and a lot of cc. Zed needs to deal with his crap energy, his q have small hitbox and his only cc is a slow.
As a top main, i never have problem with yone, you can easily fight him with most if not all bruiser champs, you can wait at his e to rekt him after he used it, his ult is a good escape but you can block it. I would rather face a fed yone than a zed that can jump every 5 second. (I HATE EZREAL WITH BURNING PASSION)
@@ezioasasyn2394 Zed is much more safe, and can much more easily deal with adc's. (Just has overall better burst and potential to jump on an important target)
@@ezioasasyn2394 i know i know, yone is way worse than zed, but still, i would be fine if they could rework zed so his playstyle is less poke-ish you know... Maybe be like qiyana, where she has a bigger range than most assassins but you still need to be considerably close to the enemy.

He is more disguisting than them, Riven countered by tanks and ranged, Fiora no AOE damage, countered by ranged but can outplay, only good at dueling and splitpushing, Irellia gets statchecked by many top laners and depends on minions,skillshots and timing, and Camille is turbo broken right now.
The one and only thing I hate about Yone and think is truly unfair is that, no matter how much you try to shut him down in early game, if he gets 2 items, he will carry, rendering all your early efforts completely useless. No other champion has that amount of low effort/investment to high reward/carry/comeback potential
I think this is true but also saying other champs don't have this is not really that accurate. I can think of several others like Urgot, Sion, and a few others (typically split pushers) because they just have so much pressure with their tower damage while taking all of the other team's attention away from the more important things or else they'll literally just end the game.
One thing I hate about his and how unfair it is, is his E. He is a mele Champion you cannot trade against becouse he is always safe with his E

as somebody who *plays* the little bastard, I think that everything you said about him is completely true - but I also think that the favouritism is by *far* the worst thing about him. runes have favoured him, he ducks under the nerf radar every time, and the fact that he keeps getting skins is a *lot* of salt in an open wound. Riot’s moneygrabbing is an aggravating trend, and Yone’s one of their most blatant cash cows. it sucks, dude.

Yasuo has to get a knock up first, then he can ult and gain access to 50% armor pen for a short duration, Yone's bitch ass permanently has 50% armor pen from split damage, but then ALSO get's zeds ult as TRUE damage, which works AOE as another basic ability. "we do not think our newer champion kits are more overloaded overall"
if only it was 50% armor pen but no... it 50% BONUS armor pen for yas. so its only good against tanks and even then its kinda ass.

Vars, don’t you realise? Hating Yone is a serious penalty: you are required to ban him EVERY game.
the biggest issue will always be that he never has to commit to a fight if he doesn't want to.
his spirit form means he literally never has to fully commit to a fight. if the player id playing him right, he can always just return to his positions giving him an insane amount of mobility in the middle of a skrimish. so you have to respect his engage while he also can simple opt out of the fight if it doesn't go his way. and then if it's real dicey he can dash and ult away.
If he doesnt commit he doesn't do dmg and both his engage tool are conditional

anything strong is fun to play, just look at the amount of people playing heimer in Arena because he is strong (or used to be) compared to a non existent pick rate in normal games

What does yone do?
Yes.
Because he is an excuse for fanservice, an overloaded champion so people can feel more skillful while playing him but actually only breaks rules other champions are tied to just for that main character syndrome.
And while I agree Yone has a good skill cap, the amount of BS he can get with kinda makes "easier" to reach said skillcap.

This is why I think yas though also frustrating is more fair than yone. Yas needs set up, he can't truly burst squishes and his dashes are all conditional regardless of how easy the condition is depending on team comp. They honestly need to make w not scale cooldown with as. It's actually dumb that it does.

Yas can burst squishies, ofc. But you're fucked if you don't have a target for your one and only dash ability. Meanwhile, Yone has 3 dash abilities, with 1 of them even allowing you to move 1/4 of the map and still be able come back to safety everytime.

Yas' counterplay is good wave management and not standing next you your allied minions when you're killable
Strengths: Resourceless, Low CD spammable waveclear moves, ranged poke, shielding, hybrid damage, doubles crit for free, can roam and respond to jungle activity without having to commit, spammable crowd control.
Weakness: the player
Weaknesses: Weak early game, many moves are telegraphed, his consistent dmg is melee range, his E creates a kill zone if used poorly, if q3/r miss the situation can be catastrophic

One of my happiest memories in League was a few years back, when I was playing draft top, someone asked to swap and a lot of bungled communication later, the both of us had picked support, so I ended up going Leona Top with support runes.
Into the man himself, Yone.
Everyone on the team was in rather good humour about it, but... I ended up not losing lane all that hard. A couple of overconfident towerdives left me 2/3/0 and Yone 3/2/0 at the end of laning phase and come teamfights, I absolutely clobbered him with my team at my back. We ended up stomping that game.
yeah I found that yone/yasuo are absolutely countered by Leona, she's just too tanky and too much cc for them.

As a Yone main I could not agree more with the haters. Yes he is overloaded. Yes he is annoying to play against. But GODDAMNIT is he fun.
Playing yone well can be difficult, because of how his kit works.
The problem is that, as someone who plays yone, I can jump on a garen, miss q, auto, w, miss q, chase him under tower, take a tower shot, miss an auto, e back to my body, and he'll be down from 100 to 60%, and I'll have 80% hp left from starting at 82%.
He’s not a hard champ but he does have a high skill ceiling.

The worst part about Yone or the wind brothers in general is that they will always suck in your team but get turbo fed, 1v9 and even kill you irl if they are on the enemy team
He's an assassin-fighter-hypercarry, stat checker, dangerous at all stages of the game, has a mixed damaged profile, does percent health, can one shot in a single rotation, but if he misses everything he still kills you in three autos, has a cleanse, is manaless, can zone AAers with a 700 range shotgun, can chase you Tower to Tower, and after 2 to-3 damaged items he builds full tank and is unkillable.
All this is okay because hes Ionian. Ionians get affirmative action and are protected in League of Legends.

Everytime i called a champion my main they got gutted eventually, or outright deleted (R.I.P Aatrox) but you have the 2 windshitters getting double crit for free, and a clear preferential treatment from rito. I'm seriously so sick of this company not respecting the players in so many ways, they make the game less fun to manipulate you into grinding or getting that last win of the day every day. And games only last 15-20 minutes because one of the team always dominates the other the entire game. We gotta start respecting ourselves and ask for better or stop playing.

lol old Aatrox was shit and unhealthy his own way. And if your main got gutted it was more than likely because of pro play. Even with these windshitters they have never been full meta or pro play problems, and that’s cause their meant to be more fun then viable.
Being able to survive critical mistakes is the most frustrating thing for me. I feel like that kind of security should only be afforded to tanks.
You could argue that he is very hard to learn and even harder to master, BUT no champion should be able to do what he is able to do when you master him
Another problem is his skill floor is above 1/3 of the champions skill ceilings.

Regardless… I never said I was a /good/ Qiyana player, and I will never enjoy the matchup. But maybe there is some things I can learn that will make it easier

Quite a few ways to fix him.
-We could remove half the passives on his abilities.
-Reduce his range on all his abilities and autos by half.
-Make it so the magic damage auto doesn't allow lifesteal from items only omnivamp.
-remove his multiplied crit chance.
-change his damage multiplier from his ghost become either physical or magical damage instead of true damage or make it deal more damage the further he travels to get back to his original location so if he fights a tank right next to his dash position it deals little to no damage.
-give him mana bar or even energy.
-give his cds an additional 10 seconds for those dash abilities.
-Make it so immobilizes either sent him back from his dash or he must remain until the cc wears out.
-Make his ult interruptable(no reason to be cc immune for that).
He already gets stuck in E if you cc him when it’s about to end. It just snaps him back when the cc is over.

an interesting fix for him is to turn him to an AP champion. one of his main problems is he can miss all abilities and be able to kill you just by using autoattacks. by turning him to a caster, missing abilities is actually punishing. his basic attacks could then scale with AP so that he's a pure magic dealer, giving him counterplay as the current one is impossible to build resist against(hybrid max health damage. yea good luck with that)

the thing is since he has TWO abilities that scale with attack speed (both castime and cooldown) it makes him spike so hard at just the smallest amount of gold since attack speed also doubles up as ability haste for him (with just around 60-70 percent AS his q gets lowered to 1.3 seconds and his W cd GETS LOWERED TO LESS THAN HALF) like people complain about camille passive being oppressive in short trades but that shit Has 10 seconds cd at level 16 and only blocks on type of damage while yone gets a n all purpose shield with a poke ability and mixed max health damage
I could swear his Q doesn’t ignore armor boots.

Tabis passive reduces specifically auto damage and his q is ability damage
@@ethanstyant9704 except that his Q is counted as an autoattack for the first enemy hit, then everything beyond the first is counted as an ability, that's why when you Q somebody lifesteal is only applied to the first enemy struck, same as Yasuo Q. Been this way since Yas came out, and Yone Q is (apart from the movement) the exact same coding wise as Yasuo Q. So by buying Tabis you instantly block 11% of his Q damage just from the passive, and on top of that you have the armor from tabis to block damage as well.

i look at his kit and i dont see a demon (azakana) hunter or a man trapped in limbo between his physical and spiritual form
i just see yasuo with a teamfight ultimate
i have endlessly (and hopelessly) thought of dozens of different skills and ultimates that yone COULD'VE had that still would've connected him to yasuo but had a fundamentally different playstyle and feel that would be unique to league of legends
it pisses me off to no end that an amazing character that deepens the lore of runeterra and uncovering a new realm of its universe has their gameplay wasted on jacking off edgelords who can't hit simple skillshots
I'd say he's pretty objectively a magic samurai. The evil looking red looks pretty demonic. I don't think it's a stretch to think he's a demon magic samurai. And his lore is demon magic samurai that hunts demons, aside from the Yasuo stuff.

I think also a contributing factor is his popularity. You see Yone all the time. And thats because despite the high skill sealing, he had at least before the removal of lethal tempo a low skill floor. Even if he misses all of his skillshots, he can still autoattack you to death, and because of his scaling, even if you manage to bully him in lane, his e and his scaling give him safety nets that help even the bad players to still contribute something. He is a bit like ezreal in that regard, in that he can be played relatively safe despite his melee nature. He might still fluctuate in his pressure, but he doesn't outright feed so hard that it feels frustrating for the player who plays him. The reason why Ezreal isn't as hated is that he at least is still a adc and somewhat easy to explode, he has just more range and also cannot hypercarry that hard. A extremely frustrating champ that you see all the time just reinforces the hatred.

yone aphelios and yasuo are definetly not 200 years, every time you die to them they miss all skillshots and then the auto attacks get you.
The legitimately only reason why Yone doesn't have a 60% winrate at this point is because the people who love playing him are beyond stupid, Yone players tend to be the most "just run at enemy and kill them" type players, and since the character is so easy and rewarding they just even out the Winrate.

It’s so funny. I’m like 40% of the video in and half of the things you say are wrong. Tabis decreases his damage by a ton. FH guts his damage. His magic damage is ON HIT meaning if you slow his attack speed he does less magic damage it really is that simple. Tabis reduces Auto damage MEANING it also reduces his magic damage from passive. And before you try to flame me in the replies actually go to practice tool and try it out for yourself.
you are right, especially now that tabi is just 1000 gold. and all his spikes got nerfed and lethal tempo got removed and that he needs to land abilities unlike alot of champions in top where your allowed to point and click and that his e is 22 second cooldown. you are forced to snowball in lane otherwise you don't do anything the whole game going even is losing and even if you snowball you get outscaled by most champions. yone had his moments where he was broken but people often hate without understanding.

Yone was only OP when lethal tempo was OP. you can ask any good yone players, dzukill, tempest etc. In no way i can respect what you said when in live in the reality where he is on a legit 46% wr and lower in some ranks because tempo has been removed. Even with OP tempo he was around 50% with only high ranks having a higher one. Lets be honest people in lower ranks dont know how to deal with him or play him. end of story. Also he has a weak early game, he loses to shit ton of matchups. I beg you, play 50 games of yone, I want to see your WR on him toplane.

Yone doesn’t feel like he cares of he’s behind when playing against him, and if he’s ahead he feels like an unstoppable force
He has:
A good neutral on Q, and a dash with CC and on-hit on Q3;
A shield so every trade is good;
Zed R on his E;
Massive teamfight ult;
hybrid damage due to passive;
Q and W have CDR based on attack speed;
Powerspike on t2 boots;
Good early, mid and late game;
And is also manaless
forgot to mention he is a manaless champion aswell!
Tl;dr: too versatile because too much bs in the kit -> feels unfair to verse

In my humble opinion, Yone is fun to play but he does have weaknesses as well like other champions in the game. In my own experience, he's really weak early against bruisers/tanks. If enemies are good at having visions on the map, Yone's hard to do surprise attacks combo which works really well with him, go in and kill then go back with e. Meanwhile if you're seen, enemies can tell just by looking at your 3rd q animation, smart people would draw a bit of distance to punish him if he does dash. Overall I think it's more of predicting what yone does which is easy and dodge, or if you can trade blows with him.
i agree, you have to land your Q's to actually have pressure in lane and be able to kill. unlike alot of champs which are less reliant on landing point and click abilities like renekton w, people tend to forget his e is long cooldown as well 22 seconds, alot of items he used to build got nerfed hard kraken, dagger got nerfed, his crit chance got nerfed, lethal tempo got removed. you are forced to snowball in lane because going even means your losing now. alot of champions will just outscale you and even if you snowball with all the nerfs ive talked his not as good right now any good player can tell, his w got nerfed multiple times also before (for a good reason imo). people will always find ways to hate on a champion though which is understandable if they can't deal against him he had his times where he was really good (back when shieldbow was very good and he didnt have his w nerfs). thats why you shouldn't really listen to everything you hearso yeah i agree with most things you said at the end of the day every champion has a weakness.
What I found funny is that Vars didn't even need to mention Soul Unbound recast is a cleanse. I robbed too many people with that recast, special Morde Ults lmao.
Yeah no it doesn't cleanse morde ult. Morde main here, even tested it myself well before the "you can't qss my ult" changes. He's never been able to E out of it.

You must be talking about the split moment when he presses R and points his finger at you BEFORE the deathrealm actually goes off. Yes, lots of things can cancel that and for some reason it actually puts Morde's R on cooldown. It's absolutely frustrating. But once the walls are actually up Yone can't get out.

one of the most annoying things about yone that wasnt mentioned in this video is the fact that he has no mana or energy at least with yasuo you know you can exploit a mana weakness if hes low, or at least capitalize (with roaming, wave pushing, freezing ,etc.) on the fact he has to go back to base to gain mana with yone once he gets bork or anything with lifesteal he can literally stay on the map for as long as he wants which is why he was broken with hullbreaker it makes literally no sense for him not to have at least energy so he cant spam abilities as he does with lethal tempo.

Only weakness I've seen is lockdown, CC is (while not effective completely) his enemy as if he can't move he cant do bullshit. Anivia has been working as a solution for mid at times but then theres all that bs knock up of his, eventually he just E and immediately ults for you but otherwise, she can somewhat match him

I recently played Vlad mid against a Yone and was up 6/0 over him before 20 minutes. Then he roamed bot lane ONCE, got two kills, and proceeded to demolish my entire team for the rest of the game. Champ needs to go.
You play vlad arguably the biggest scaling champ in the game yone was not the problème

the last time I was able to somewhat deal with yone was to have a jax 4-0 him in lane and headbut (with Alistar) him out of the way of ult. Otherwise, gotta pray your frontline chunks him enough so he can't all in and have all the vision - even then his auto damage is enough to shred an adc before he goes down. uncommon opinion but in a disjointed team, its actually easier to deal with yone than master yi as he can't really go untargetable or run really far without ult
Not anymore. Without Lethal Tempo Yasuo and Yone actually takes skill. I mean Yasuo was always harder, but atleast now everything about this topic is solved in my eyes

As much as I hate Yone, people always say that he does true damage, this is not true so I must defend him. The true damage on his E is just an echo of the post-mitigation damage he did during Spirit Unbound, so he already had that damage reduced by Armor/MR so even though the game says true damage it’s just telling you the post-mitigation damage you already did.

He misses abilities or behind you in lvl or items still out-trades you or even solo kills you. No matter how many times he ints midlane he still strong.
Where does the "200 years" thing come from?
Interesting how you didn't mention his free cleanse on his E or how he is unstoppable during ult channel/blink. His Q dash can be interrupted but the damage still goes through (along with the knock up)
That's one of the things that pisses me off the most because sometimes when I play the anti dash champs like poppy and tali I am still punished for using my abilities correctly
