Hi, I have a question. When you configured the Workflow you set a message with pointers but when the order is sent for review , that message does not display. Also it does not show when the approve/reject/etc. dialog displays. We are having the same issue. Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks!
Hello, thank you! This was a very thorough video and did a very good job in breaking things down. I reproduced the work but I noticed that although the Approve + Cancel commands updated the status fields on the screen during the Approval step, the revise (change requested) and Reject (returned) do not trigger the event handler that changes the approval status field on the form. Are you seeing the same on your project or did I miss a step somewhere?
Very informative video. Please advise how to add a "recall" menu option, when the user submits the document to the workflow, and wants to recall it before the approval start, maybe to update some information?

I assume you want to setup batch jobs for workflow. Please run the wizard under path: System administration > Workflow > Workflow infrastructure configuration. This will setup three batch jobs as per interval settings to run a workflow.

Very useful, I have a question on the request change case, If an approval let say (third person) requested for a change request and the requester resubmitted the workflow again, How does the cycle act, Does it reset all the approvals and its gets back to the first person to reapprove again or does it only return for the user who requested for the change? And where is this process controlled is it on the ResubmitActionManager Class?
Ideally, when a request change happen, it goes back to originator, and once changes are performed, it should again follow the approval sequence because all the levels should approve the change in the document which has happened as part of request change. These all steps or actions happen in the same instance of the flow. However, if the originator wants to recall and submit again, it will have another instance of workflow. I believe, if we want to skip the middle approvers, and route directly to the person who requested the change, the design would be flawed as per functional business process, and audit should catch as to why the change performed was not approved again from all levels. Please do let me know if there is any other scenario which should skip the middle level approvers?
@@PirKhurramRashdi Thank you for replying, This is exactly what I want I don't want to skip the middle approvals, I have developed a new workflow which does not have anything different from the one you did it only has (Workflow type and approval) and inside the resubmit class I added the same code you wrote, Once a user requests for a change and the originator resubmits the approval gets back to the person who requested for the change and it skips all the middle approvals, Where could it gone wrong? and is this action controlled anywhere other than the resubmitActionMngr Class ?
Have you configured three levels in configuration, and whether all the persons are one same user, then please do check may he it is doing correctly by sending to 2nd person but since you being the same person are thinking that it is the same person i.e 3rd person. Are you sure for that?

I've verified and it is starting from the same person who requested change which is wrong, it should start all steps again like Purchase requisition workflow or any other. You can modify ResubmitActionManager class to apply the logic for resubmission. Take examples from existing code e.g. LedgerJournalWFApprResubmitToWF. Let me know once you get success.
1 question if you can help me. Are you making these videos on local Demo machine. I have Downloaded Demo machine from LCS and using hyper on local but workflow editor is not opening any specific reason.??
It should have internet access in that vm, also ie should be browser. Then it will download a workflow designer component. Also, check pop up allowed or not?

The message will be shown as email when email is configured to receive notifications. Also, in user options the notification should be enabled.
