    My observation would be something that STTP has mentioned. Holding your arm at its finishing point after the throw before going for the next dart.
    If you watch the footage back, you go immediately for the next dart on the 20s before you switch to the 19s, then in the 19s you start to pause at the end of the throw. You then do this once you’ve switched back to the 20s again. The better darts seem to happen with the slight pause.

      Yeah man this is spot on. I’m aware I do it and I’m trying to cut it out and have the same follow through on every dart. This is all I’m focusing on right now and it’s probably had the best results when I actually do it 😅😅 cheers for this

      @ 1000 things to think about. But trying not to think about them. I think I’ve finally got my grip down, getting to the point where I can group them nicely the majority of the time, but I have to ensure I hit the target I’m aiming for first, that’s my current aim, pun intended!

    Great Video Samson!! It is wonderful that you allow us to see how frustrating it can be when you are trying to change something to get better. Keep up the good work, your throw is not that far from becoming more natural. You had some wonderful throws, even if they hit the triple 3 or the triple 1. They were so close on the wire from the 19 and 20, that your form was actually spot on. Keep up the great work and you will get there soon. Then you'll own the DartBot!!👍

    I haven't caught one of your videos for a few months, and the change in your game in stark. I know it's surely been very incremental, that's darts, but the difference between now and the middle of last year is night and day. You actually look like a proper darts player now (and I mean that in the nicest possible sense). Well done man!

    Great video Samson, the way you’ve improved is clear to see. I was an app glitch away from playing you online which is something I’ve wanted to do since early 24. Keep it up!

    Keep to the process, improvement doesn't come easy.

    Darts, like anything really, you have to learn to fall in love with the journey. While it can be frustrating, i'm not sure there is anything else i'd rather be doing when I get a chance to play this game.

    Following along as i'm slowly getting addicted to darts. 40 avg in 2 months and it's pretty much applying everything from daniel.
    Coming from archery (wich is still my main sport) everything he says makes sense. Haven't played a bot game in a while here, although i'm one of those rare breeds who can do mindnumbing drills over and over just for the sake of getting results.

    • @SamsonDoesDarts180
      @SamsonDoesDarts180  День тому

      Nice I like it. There must be some serious cross over to archery. Certainly mentally. Anything you think is useful ?

      @@SamsonDoesDarts180 With winning in mind from Lanny Bassham is pretty much the holy grail when it comes to mental management.
      With archery there's blank bale and blind bale drills wich translate well to darts. You completely remove aiming from the equation and focus on follow through and release.
      With darts you throw in a general direction, left center right, all darts pointing straight back at you being at a consistent angle. Then add in alignment going top middle bottom with a piece of tape.

    my suggestion would be what it has always been to you , empty your head of all the crap and just throw the darts at the target , the more you do it the better you will get , but while your head is full of oh am I following through right or am I holding the dart right etc etc etc you will never get any better , your throw looks reasonably solid so Just THROW the darts and forget all the rest :)

    Hi Sam, just a quick question mate. How often do you play out in the real world? In a team, or in comps? 👍 Liked n subbed by the way...

    • @SamsonDoesDarts180
      @SamsonDoesDarts180  День тому +1

      I play with mates down the social club but there’s no chance i am entering any league with my current counting skills 😅

    • @Gdad-20
      @Gdad-20 День тому

      @@SamsonDoesDarts180 Bless you mate, I had already guessed that you didnt play in any leagues, or tournaments, but wanted to ask just to make sure that what I was seeing, was purely down to a lack of experience and the lack of exposure to real world match/game preasure that you generally find when playing in a team environment. My advice to you my friend, is.... Get yourself signed up with a team as soon as possible and put yourself into that environment. As far as the counting goes. You will learn as you go and get the support and encouragment that you need from your team mates. Chalking other peoples games will soon bring your counting up to par. Remember! The best way to progress and improve, is to test our limits. and what I mean by test our limits, is to test them beyond what we feel comfortable with. In your case and in the case of all home players, is to get out and get in a real team and in as many open tournaments as is reasonable to you. Good luck with it mate and Take care 👍

    It'll take time like you say but in leg 2 you were on 105 and hit a 1 first dart then went straight back and aimed for T20, you should have gone for T18 leaving a bull finish as the T20 wouldnt have left you on one.
    All learning though as im at a similar level to you often have to think fast when on a finish. Great vid, you can see how well youve progressed over the months 👍

    Just an observation of mine, from the viewers perspective I see your head line up with the owl picture in the background at different points and when I can see more of the owl I’m thinking means you are slightly more to the right of your oche dunno if some sort of left/right marker to line up on would make any improvements 🤷‍♂️ not an expert by any means so feel free to ignore my comment

      @ two things. Your hand speed is probably 20% faster to the board than it needs to be. You’re throwing pretty hard. I bet your barrel is close to touching the board. Second mind set to beat level 7. Stop watching the bot score. Watch your dart count. Try to have your 27th dart at a one dart out. It will win between 25 and 30. You just want a chance to win. Level 8 is 24 darts give or take a dart. Ps. Slow down a lil on your throw and dip your head down aiming. Looks like your eyes are always above dart. Dipping your head might help aim better. Like a gun site straight line eye dart/hand target. Find me on dart counter Stan with a 🇺🇸 I’ll gladly be a practice partner. Cheers

      @ cheers mate for this and would love a game. Haven’t thought or heard about dipping my head like that more so I will give that a go. You’re spot on about my hand speed it is a noticeable issue for sure. If I can get my handprint/follow through sorted I think that’ll be my next challenge.
