Funny thing, as a retired police officer...when I was working, I could have cared less about lifted or wide wheeled trucks. I don't think I EVER wrote someone for that. I may have stopped them just to check it out though. Lol. Drive safe bro.
Well you are one of the good ones out here in Alaska where we sell more trucks in the world and we're in winter 9 months out the year we have 2 different divisions of cops we got our city cops and they also have the Alaska state troopers and they're not giving people that run these type of trucks like this any slake
where I lie in Illinois, we seem to have strict truck rules. like I think you have to have splash gaurds, cant lower or raise the bumper more than 3" etc. but its extremely rare that people have mud flaps and many trucks are raised more than 3". it seems like the police just don't enforce the truck laws here. im sure they care about mud flaps for semis and whatnot but they don't even look at pickups it seems
On your switch on the fly between all 5 settings what is the most fuel efficient tune? My LMM people are telling me the 3rd tune is the way to go, Thanks.
Jumping on board to your channel as a long time Instagram follower. Finally got around to getting you in my list of guys I follow from the 717. The whole crew is so entertaining. Keep em up buddy!
I got a silverado I love it and I'm also from pa what part are you from and do you and a bunch of others get together with your trucks and hang or cruise or have shows or anything? I been looking for a truck group to get in with and share ideas and stuff. Let me know, love your vids
my old boss had 14 wife's on his f250 for few months and it just destroyed the paint on the truck aswell as his mirrors. Have you lost or damaged your exterior mirrors? I like the look of the tires sticking out but there must be something I'm missing on how to not completely ruin your truck them tires must toss rocks like no tomorrow.
This is starting to get funny. You're friends with Mike/street speed and it turns out I'm like following all you guys! (mostly for the diesel truck content but I stumbled on Mike because I'm kind of a big Z06 fan and these cars are stupid fast)! I'm glad you did this video bro because I was looking at doing that big offset thing except I hunt which means I have to squeeze in tight spaces in the woods and didn't even think about drive-through's! Keep this type of crap up man you're doing great! You ever tow anything with that beast or what?
That really is a gorgeous truck. If I had a 2500 HD, I'd do the same thing. Maybe slightly beefier tires, but that would be about it. Everything about these new generation Silverados is top notch. I love my 1500 and probably won't ever get rid of it. Love the content too, man! Subscribed, and liked!
Oversize wheels with excessive negative offset, eventually wears out suspension components prematurely, especially on heavy vehicles. I was a mechanic as a teen and I serviced pick-ups with large, negative offset. I routinely replaced the inner and outer wheel bearings and also swapped in new races. I saw excessive wear on ball joints and tie rod ends. Test driving these trucks revealed unusual or even scary bump steer, and I found myself having to make steering corrections to stay between the lines on the street. Btw, your truck looks way cool though! I just like that look. I know the cleaning maintenance gets old real fast. My '02 Duramax was always dirty and I was using a conservative set of negative offset (18") wheels on it. Those wheels/tires weighed 80+ lbs, a lot more than stock. I dreaded rotating them. IMO extremely offset wheels are just not worth the huge financial investment and overall daily aggravation they impart. I've been there and I'll never do that again. They also impair the stock brakes and hinder steering but heck, I could climb over anything! Lol. *Cops are always looking to score easy violations - don't feed them. You're paranoid and with good reason. Maybe look for some cool oversized fender flares, that not only conceal some of the wheel's width but help mitigate the dirt. And you'll avoid unnecessary summonses to boot with the overzealous gendarme lurking about. FWIW: I saw a Ford F-250 (single rear wheel) recently on the highway that had a slight bump in suspension height. The guy was clearly using a larger-than-stock wheel width but he seemed to have evened out the offset. From the rear view I observed that his wheels merged into the vehicle as well as extending a bit outside, using no flares. It looked almost stock but from the rear view, his truck had a decidedly wide, dominant stance with the huge wheels accentuating its muscular appearance. That's how I'd roll b/c I'd stay close to stock on the outside but I'd get that wide look without attracting the law and wearing out my suspension.
Most people are not to interested in keeping it clean. When they go wide its for more traction offroad!!! Like you say, whatever makes you happy brother. Nice truck, even if it is a street bogger. LOL Peace!!!
Hey durtymax jack I'm new to your channel and so far I love your videos and your truck is amazing I wanted to ask what size lift do you run on your truck?
When you drive a bold truck, the trick is to take up as many parking spots as you can whenever you park, dont want no clunkers blocking the view of onlookers
I mainly watch Cummins vids but this is good stuff. I have 12 wides and am constantly dodging water on the roads. Alot of farmers out here like to water the road, lol.
SmurfStang he stopped by Starbucks on his way to work. lol. Notice in the video's edit the sun didn't move. He went to work after snapping his fingers shortly after the Starbucks visit.
LUV the truck Durty! I'm personally not a fan of the 22x14's but I do like the style of the rim and tires very classy! My 2003 LB7 is pretty much stock IM thinking of getting some rims like those just not that size lol.
LOL those tires would be illegal in my state. Have to have fender flares to cover those tires. They stick out so far you almost need a dually fender. :) Just not worth it to me. However my full size crew cab dually has more problems than those 14 wides give you. Crazy fun parking it.
I think yall would do great videos together I've been watching street speed 717 for a year or so now and I just started watching you a couple of weeks ago and I think yall would do some bad ass videos with yalls duramax
Durtymax Jack I have 20x12 and 35" tires on my lifted 1500. I want to upgrade to 22"s and noticed you had 22"s but looked like you had 35" tires. Can you confirm. Or are the metric 36" let me know asap because i was gona try and fit 36 but whatever you have looks fine!
I like the fact that you park in the back man. Credit for that. So many assholes park up front and take up half the spot next to them. Or park super close to the car next to them
Mark P you guys are arrogant as hell, it's not a Mexican thing obviously because a lot of white guys have them. And why are you calling it Mexican? Is that supposed to degrade the truck because you labeled it as Mexican? Gtfo
I don't neccesarily like the 14s as much as thinner tires, but I don't hate them. I like when tires poke out like an inch or two or having flares. I don't think chevys and gmc need flares, they look good without them, but ford and ram do, they look like they are missing something without them.
Funny thing, as a retired police officer...when I was working, I could have cared less about lifted or wide wheeled trucks. I don't think I EVER wrote someone for that. I may have stopped them just to check it out though. Lol. Drive safe bro.
Thanks for your service my man!
DURTYMAX JACK Thanks 4 the thanks pal lol.
Well you are one of the good ones out here in Alaska where we sell more trucks in the world and we're in winter 9 months out the year we have 2 different divisions of cops we got our city cops and they also have the Alaska state troopers and they're not giving people that run these type of trucks like this any slake
luckily i live in the south where most cops will compliment a wide truck instead of hassle you.
Josh Kimbrell same
but then it will be a squat truck too.
where I lie in Illinois, we seem to have strict truck rules. like I think you have to have splash gaurds, cant lower or raise the bumper more than 3" etc. but its extremely rare that people have mud flaps and many trucks are raised more than 3". it seems like the police just don't enforce the truck laws here. im sure they care about mud flaps for semis and whatnot but they don't even look at pickups it seems
SAME HERE IN UPSTATE NY!!
In Texas they don't mess with wide tires. I didn't know that was an issue anwhere.
theres no snow to fling up down here.
OCP_Ken iowa dont either
Same in Oklahoma never heard of it being a issue
What tires are you running? I have 22x14 and running the toyo MT's 35x12.5R22... just asking cause your tires look like they fit the wheel better...
What do you do for work?
your mom
Wats ur lift/brand also and tire size on wide. Also which brand for lifts r the cheapest but also good
Do you get bad rock chips along the side of your truck with the 14 wides?
What tires r u running and what size lift r u running
Does the 22x14 make the tires rub bad on the fender well?
On your switch on the fly between all 5 settings what is the most fuel efficient tune? My LMM people are telling me the 3rd tune is the way to go, Thanks.
What lift size is on that truck love it i have the same truck.
Are wide tires illegal? Where u live
Who did the fender mod on your truck
How are those 14 wides in the snow?
How much did you spend on the tires I been looking for now tires for my 2500 Duramax
What size tires? They fit perfect..
What lift is this or just a level kit??
nice truck man, how big is your bed? crew cab long bed? looking at getting that setup.
This Duramax is perfect imo, nice wheels with a dependable motor and lift, love the videos

What size are your tires?
Jumping on board to your channel as a long time Instagram follower. Finally got around to getting you in my list of guys I follow from the 717. The whole crew is so entertaining. Keep em up buddy!
+SixFive_Sam your loyalty never goes unrecognized my friend!
how cool do you think your tires make you btw?
What size are those tires ?
Why is your back seat up? Just wondering
What size lift you got on the dmax
I’m glad I’m not the only one who looks out the window at my tires 😂
What's the reason you would you get pulled over for having wide tires?
knightryderbelow some local law enforcement have wide wheel fetishes
How wide are your wheels? Looks like 12 wides if I had to guess
SoFlo Antonio prolly not 14 wides
+Thomas Campbell 22x14
What year dirtymax you got?
What size tires are those
I got a silverado I love it and I'm also from pa what part are you from and do you and a bunch of others get together with your trucks and hang or cruise or have shows or anything? I been looking for a truck group to get in with and share ideas and stuff. Let me know, love your vids

Finally my favorite diesel trucks together! Keep it up!

I’m a new truck Owner as of 4 days ago and I want to go 20x12 with a -44. I love the way the dirty max sits tho man! Shits sick. My kind of style
Dope truck, that set up would get shredded in the mountains going to Elk camp.
Dope Truck bro! I am currently in the process of building my 1999 Chevy Suburban. I hope to see more truck video's awesome work man!
Who song is that I heard it numerous amount of times
Gonna watch this again and take a shot every time “14 wide” is said. Time to get hammered.
Yea your right you did ruin it!
Most people are not to interested in keeping it clean. When they go wide its for more traction offroad!!! Like you say, whatever makes you happy brother. Nice truck, even if it is a street bogger. LOL Peace!!!
Hey durtymax jack I'm new to your channel and so far I love your videos and your truck is amazing I wanted to ask what size lift do you run on your truck?
but what you really need to do is park right and correctly
should put some curb finders on your truck so you don't scuff up them gay wides
Thats so true about washing your truck in the winter Painful pleasure 🤣 this guy is funny
When you drive a bold truck, the trick is to take up as many parking spots as you can whenever you park, dont want no clunkers blocking the view of onlookers
What kind of ray bans are those
Could you tell me what you the name of the song is in the background of this video. I like it. Nice video.
Should have titled this, "Why 14 wides completely ruin your truck."
What's with the low-rider wheels?
What would you get ticketed for
I mainly watch Cummins vids but this is good stuff. I have 12 wides and am constantly dodging water on the roads. Alot of farmers out here like to water the road, lol.
+Chris the struggles are real!

Where do you work?
Thats why im glad I live in Texas, We can have our tires out as far as we want but they cant go past your mirrors

+Mason Neal 355/40 ... 33.2”
He works at starbucks and can afford a 50k+ truck? :o lol
You got me!
SmurfStang he stopped by Starbucks on his way to work. lol. Notice in the video's edit the sun didn't move. He went to work after snapping his fingers shortly after the Starbucks visit.
Levi Herron Thad for sure. Besides a worker at Starbucks could not afford the wheels! Never mind the truck!
not12u you're a dumbass

Hellsxfist lol thats what a honda owner would say
Binge watching, can't get enough of that set up lol.
Still trying to figure out why the windows aren’t darker than they are. It’s a white truck the windows almost have to be dark it just looks better
Why do you get pulled over for having 14s??? Because I'm thinking about going 14s
Is 37 tires
I lived in Texas for 10 years 20x12 -44 not quite a large as the tires you have but I never had any issues
Wow this guys a bit full of himself. Must love to hear himself talk 😃
LUV the truck Durty! I'm personally not a fan of the 22x14's but I do like the style of the rim and tires very classy! My 2003 LB7 is pretty much stock IM thinking of getting some rims like those just not that size lol.
And i bet u get full use of your axle bearings and u joints! you must go through thm like you change socks!
Michael Cuff I just checked em buddy. They're rock solid!
If you invest in a good lift kit you don't have to worry about that.
Wait are 14 wides illegal?
LOL those tires would be illegal in my state. Have to have fender flares to cover those tires. They stick out so far you almost need a dually fender. :) Just not worth it to me. However my full size crew cab dually has more problems than those 14 wides give you. Crazy fun parking it.
hey you should put a light bar and a bulldog lift it would look badass

Btw what does 14 wides have anything to do with the cops??? Are they ilegal in PA?
Or you can just move to Florida and not have to worry about tires sticking out lol
Nice truck, glad to see a dmax channel. But...clean from the side? Debadge and lose the steps = clean
NOW LOWER IT SO IT LOOKS MEXICAN.....
Mark P ha, Mexicans always have wheels like his!
Mark P That's what I was thinking.
Mark P you guys are arrogant as hell, it's not a Mexican thing obviously because a lot of white guys have them. And why are you calling it Mexican? Is that supposed to degrade the truck because you labeled it as Mexican? Gtfo
daniel rodriguez GTFO YOU!!!
I've seen a shit ton of white guys with lowered trucks and chrome, gross af
I don't neccesarily like the 14s as much as thinner tires, but I don't hate them. I like when tires poke out like an inch or two or having flares. I don't think chevys and gmc need flares, they look good without them, but ford and ram do, they look like they are missing something without them.
