I followed your advice (well, not once and not twice!) and got myself the 3D mesh for the seat. Honestly, one of the best things ever on the bike. In hot weather it provides air flow, on the rain keeps you out of compressing the wet seat continuously, it adds softness to the seat, but not too much. Perfect solution for long trips indeed.
The clutch cable idea is pure genius! I've had a clutch cable end pull off in city traffic, which is probably worse than if it failed in the wilderness 😅

I wish you could make a video about the MENTAL part of the long difficult rides. You covered the physical part of rides. But in my opinion MENTAL is more important.

That seat mesh is the best thing I have found for the reasons you mention. Much better comfort than sheepskin, the rain doesn't make it soggy and it also provides some cooling on a hot day.
Mod 11 stopped my looking after a reasonable seat for my T700. 3D Mesh installed on the stock seat and I was able to sit one day for 9 hours on the bike. Without this mod it was not possible for me to ride longer than 2 hours. I saw this tip on an earlier clip from you and it saved my day. Thank you 🙂

@@darko156 If the buttons are integrated in the switch block and you can operate them with your thumb, I guess it's fine. But the Oxford controller is handlebar mounted and far from the hand.
If your bike doesn’t have built in tyre pressure monitoring, you can buy a cheap Bluetooth system with its own battery and small solar charger on the display unit. It means you have a continuous read out of tyre pressures and temperatures. You set an alarm light to flash if either tyre pressure drops more than a few psi. The system costs less than $100 (made in China, of course). Mine picked up a slow leak in time for me to turn back to the nearest town and get a roofing nail pulled out and puncture fixed by a proper tyre shop. Without this warning I would have gone too far beyond help and maybe had a problem fixing it myself. Then the pain of recovering the bike etc, so I think it already paid for itself.

@@motorcycleadventures I wouldn't buy important parts like footrests from china, be it from Amazon or Aliexpress, especially if it is aluminium. These parts from China are not made with safety in mind. If you crash with these footpegs, I wouldn't ride with them anymore. These China footrests are probably made from the exact same material as their phone holder. I have 0 issue with parts from Aliexpress, but I don't use it for important parts relevant to safety.
how can you have a branch in a brake that locks your wheel, then start again, ride and notice that it locks your wheel? if it locked wheel first time, after fall is should be there preventing you from starting again. and if you overpass brake force with engine, you should feel difference in power you neaded to add to start rolling. this story thoes not makes sence (hovever branches falling into brake pedak indeed can occur

Another usefull mod is a wider kickstand foot. Never worrying about your kickstand sink in softer grounds anymore when not on pavement.

Continental TKC 80 are the tires.
It's the first time I see a grip heater controller on the right side. It feels a bit cumbersome to operate that with the throttle hand.
On my Multistrada the factory heated grips button is on the right hand side, It was not unexpected for me :)

The left holder don't have two bolts. It is a matter of a few days to get used to it.
With your brake pads. You can buy Elig ceramic brake pads for your tenere. Lasts longer than OEM and doesn't eat your brake rotors.
I will check them out, even though I cannot believe that ceramic will save the rotor more than oem.
What rental bars did you put on?

I am only slightly afraid to use an aliexpress aluminium part for footrests, IMO this is not the best idea.
