I’ve been a home daycare provider for the past 20 years and have never once thought I was raising other people’s children. My daycare parents raise their children and I am there during the day to assist them in that and love and care for their children while they’re away :)
As someone who’s partner was raised by two working parents, you are an incredible role model for not only your daughter but for your son, too. I cannot tell you the empathy and support my boyfriend shows me when it comes to being a working woman (not a mom yet); I know this comes from him witnessing his own step mom’s experience first hand. He often talks about how she was judged, at times treated unfairly, and struggled to juggle it all. I know we focus on being role models for our girls a lot (and we are) but sometimes we forget the positive impact we have on our boys as well. You are doing an incredible job. ❤️
Great video! As I'm watching this I'm recovering from a serious surgery. I was very nervous to have surgery right now but I didn't have a choice. I just want to say a huge thank you to you and everyone else in healthcare!! You all are amazing!!
Mission accomplished. You kept me company tonight while I made next week's meal plan. I am one that likes to listen more than watch which is why I love it here. You're always talking to us and not just playing music.
I really enjoy all your videos, I worked most of my adult life and I loved it, I felt independent and productive, but have always had hip problems so now getting older and being in a wheelchair i hate it. I want to feel alive again, to feel I am a useful part of this world, but i lost my enjoyment in life, and now just starting to feel better as I follow you and other utubers, you make the world go around,,♥️♥️💞💞
What you said about hanging out with us is why I love you....I feel like I'm chilling with a girlfriend when I watch your vlogs. We all have to clean, prepare meals, grocery shop and sometimes vent🤗and when someone is relatable it makes us feel like we're not alone🥰
I love that you are so respectful of people whose lives may be different than your own (ex: when you said stay at home moms with UA-cam channels are really working from home). We need more people like you in the world, open to seeing things from different perspective. Love watching you.
Some of the deepest and meaningful conversations I had with my daughter when she was growing up were in the car on the way to and from volleyball practices and tournaments...I have always been a working mom...and I think it taught my daughter a lot-she's now in her 2nd year of college for nursing, living on her own and working and I'm so proud of her.
I love all your videos, but especially your work/travel videos. I’m a 74 year old retired nurse, but spent my whole career in a hospital, so I find your career very interesting.
Jen, I love these work-travel videos! I'm 59 and now retired in Florida but used to travel on business frequently out of Omaha through and to a lot of the same spots you're hitting! So, I'm reliving my old days here. Your pace is amazing and you're funny too.
I’m glad you explained your job. I’m retired nurse and nursing is so challenging now. I’m 70. Don’t beat yourself up with mom guilt. In the end it doesn’t really matter.
You are an amazing mom, never feel guilty you are right, no one can ever do it all. I was a single mom of 2 and it was hard, but my kids know how to work, just be a good example 💖
Love your videos! The Marin definitely for glasses! Glasses are totally an accessory, I love them! I really love your style. I suck at putting together outfits, so I’m always getting ideas from you. I have learned a lot from you! I am so grateful for your channel!
It’s odd to me that people are so tough on UA-cam to working Moms. I’m also a working Mom and have to travel for work. I do the best I can, but can’t do it all. I’ve had to hire cleaners in the past so I can be off and enjoy my time off. I find the area i live in is so populated and expensive that most households are dual income. I came across your channel not to long ago and truly enjoy watching your channel.
You definitely have your stuff together and the diet for children ROCK ON love your mentality nurse and engineer makes your children such great go getters.
Great video. I love when you take us along on your trips. My husband's schedule changed which sucks. We were supposed to be in Denver/Aurora this week. Now he's going next Tuesday and we aren't able to go with him. He's staying at a Marriott near the airport I think. Thanks for the Warby Parker info again. It's time for me to get new glasses and I may go that route this time. Have a great weekend and trip again next week.
Hope you’re ok Jen after your fall at the roller rink. I’ve had a golden retriever pull me off my feet twice over the last. 4 years resulting in a broken hip each time. I’m a retired RN and just found out I have osteoporosis. Make sure you are taking in enough Calcium to protect and strengthen your bones💓. I love your channel and your outlook and wisdom on life💕 thank you 😊
Not to freak you out but I fell down the stairs in 2017 and bruised my tailbone and it has never healed. I asked my doctor and they said it’s because anytime it’s reagitated it bruises again. So even just a 4 hour car ride can mess things up. I’d recommend getting one of the tailbone pillows for your hard seats and utilizing your standing desk the moment you feel discomfort and hopefully it’ll heal
I'm not trying to rude,ok? You need to get your frames adjusted so they don't keep sliding down your nose. Find a natinal eyewear co. and they will probably adjust them for free. You might have a local eyewear store that that will do it as well. They want your return business. 🙂🙃🙂
I love your retirement goals. Ours are very similar. Currently shopping for a Colorado mountain property. The market is high and moving fast so we are hoping it slows down closer to retirement. We are about 3-4 years from retirement and we will be 54 & 57.
Another great video! Are your clear glasses from WP as well? If so, what is the style name? I just recently had to get glasses and definitely want to grab a clear pair!
I absolutely love my job. I'm doing what I wanted to do since I was 12 years old and I've been doing it over 30 years. It's stressful and exhausting and I have wanted to walk away... but I also wouldn't trade it for the world.
Love my “grandma” mask holder. I made some at the beginning of the pandemic for me and my coworkers since we have to wear our masks at work whenever we leave our desks. I put beautiful small beads at each end.
My son was in gifted classes & by 6th grade started to level off in math. I wish now I would have kept him in regular classes ( lol he is 28, married & expecting his 1st child but I am still kicking myself). Here in PA gifted classes ran into their recess so I think he just started to hate them rather than be challenged. I pulled him out in 7th grade. He still graduated top of his vo tech class but I feel like I robbed him of being a kid.
This might be a stupid q, but I’ve never had prescription glasses delivered online- so how does it work? You get your eyes tested at an optician and send the prescription to the store online to order? What about if you want additional pairs after 6 months, do you need to get your eyes tested again just for the new pairs?
Strong women raise strong women! I personally believe it is so important to teach young girls to value education, career, and the ability to support themselves financially.
Wow - I was just in the Denver airport for the 1st time last Thurs/Sun for a trip to Fort Collins and Estes Park. The security line at 7:45 am. was CRAY-ZEE - took forever. However, I enjoyed the helping security dogs - labs :))))). Very special helpers. Glad you are enjoying your travel trips and I love your vlogs. Your Marin glasses are stunning on you! xoxo
I wish there was UA-cam and a channel like this when I was raising kids. There were fewer working moms then. I love your content. Hope the tailbone is feeling better. I had it in my head to go rollerskating but I'm about 15 years older than you so I think not now. 😬🤪
Ok but did you fit the 5 pairs of tryon glasses in your carryon suitcase because dang girl I’m impressed lol. I bought my current pair of Warby Parker glasses because of you. I was super impressed with my experience and even went to a local Warby Parker store to have them fitted and they had an excellent team working there as well.
I think mom guilt will always be a thing. I have to remind myself sone days that I am doing the best I can with the time I’m given in a day… I need to balance my time.
The weight of the world is on a woman's shoulders when they choose to have kids. 99% of child car is done by the mother. I don't have a figure to support that or a citation, but I look at my peers and see how hard we work at juggling all these balls in the air plus all the spinning plates that you have to keep going and it's a lot to do. God forbid something happens to the mom, would the father know where say the immunization record books are and the immunization schedule? Would he put as much time and effort into planning, executing, and cleaning up holiday events, birthdays, sleep overs, trips, vacations, sporting events, prom, homecoming, etc? Would he put as much time and effort into planning meals, preparing them, and cleaning up? Would he know where the medications are if a child gets sick in the night? Women juggle these balls day in and day out and men automatically get a pass because they can't be bothered to ask about such things and divide these things up 50-50. I'm not talking about Adam. I'm talking about most men in general. And then women get crapped on if they don't go to work looking like a well groomed, svelte, stiletto wearing hottie. Men can go to work looking like crap and no one thinks anything about it. It's bullshit! It's unfair! And this is not the way it should be. (steps down from soapbox and goes home)
Your a bada** lol!! I love ur channel so much its hard to come by full time working mom's that do UA-cam as well!! Im a full time working mom and appreciate your channel so much!!
oh no, so sorry you fell and injured your coccyx - over the years I've fallen and fractured mine twice so I can totally understand how painful it is! The first time it happened, my friends daughter was only about 3 or 4 years old and went round telling everyone that "Laura has broken her bottom" - yeah that was embarrassing but funny to look back on and remind her about now she is 20! 🤣😂🤣
I always need my glasses adjusted as have a crooked nose and ears so how does that work ordering from warby Parker? Many places like LensCrafters and pearl vision don’t like to adjust glasses not their own.
I loved your first outfit, you looked so good with the top and earrings! Also, me and my husband are saving up to buy a retirement property in Mexico. We are thinking of Puerto Vallarta and I think you should consider there too haha we could hang out and eat tacos and drink margaritas by the pool! 🥰🌴🌮
The last pair really fits your face well and a great color for you. I'd get them too! My opinion only. I tried to do this but can't figure out how to get my eyes measured right plus I need bifocals. Any suggestions? Thanks for the great travel video! You have the cutest clothes!
It's crazy how people seem to judge others for being a working mom in the US. Here where I live in Quebec, Canada, everyone is a working parent I feel... (And I am a teacher so I meet lots of parents lol) I don't know if it is the case but it seems to me that it is an American stigma cauz here it is fairly rare to stay at home!
Love your video so much! Just a reminder, there are plenty of grants, scholarships, work programs and even free money for your kids college education. There are no programs for your retiremen, aside from 401k’s and personal investments. Help the kids of course, but let them have to work to pay for their education. Their grades will be better and they will really appreciate it more when they have to work for it. You and Adam deserve to have a wonderful retirement life for all your years of hard work. Lol ask me for future advice from a retired stay at home Cat Mom. Love you Jen!❤️❤️
Lol Connor! I'd prefer not to work, but if I have to, I love the job I have now...so he's kinda right. Lolol love him. Isn't he the one who called you a boomer?

As a full-time working mom, I really appreciate your response. 💕 I love my job, but I do feel the mom guilt sometimes. This is nice to hear. 😊

Wishing you a quick recovery.
Jen hearing the Outlook notification sound raised my heart rate for a second!
Mission accomplished. You kept me company tonight while I made next week's meal plan. I am one that likes to listen more than watch which is why I love it here. You're always talking to us and not just playing music.
Also, I have one of those grandma glasses holders and I love it lol. Like for actual glasses, not a mask.

I have saying that I tell my stressed parents: As a parent, every decision you make is a good one. Sometimes you just need to hear that.
Love your videos Jen! I always feel like you’re so genuine and real❤️
Your travel videos bring back those travel days during my working days. It was exhilarating as well as exhausting.
I’m glad you explained your job. I’m retired nurse and nursing is so challenging now. I’m 70. Don’t beat yourself up with mom guilt. In the end it doesn’t really matter.

The first and third are excellent choices for your face. Love your videos.
The first pair really looks great with ur hair color!
I love the first on,. They really look great on you.
FYI...my Dad owned a Safety Eyewear Co. The stems are "temples". Love ya!
Girl I fell off a hoverboard and that was a few years ago. I still remember the pain. I’m older than you and now I know I gotta take it easy lol.
Curious as to what attracted you to a Paleo diet? What benifits do you see for yourself in Paleo diet?
I love your travel vlogs. Thanks for sharing
First pair..the Marine looked great. I like them
I wish there was UA-cam and a channel like this when I was raising kids. There were fewer working moms then.

No 1 on the glasses xx
I think mom guilt will always be a thing. I have to remind myself sone days that I am doing the best I can with the time I’m given in a day… I need to balance my time.
Take care of your tailbone when you get a chance. I bruised my tailbone and it took two months to heal.....😀

@@isabellearseneault9737 Possibly. I presume OP is American but I can confirm it is the same here in Canada.

Ouch! I’ve bruised my tailbone before. It hurt so bad when I sat or was driving like it was going to rip right out of my back.
I love your travel vlogs so much!! Why did you spend all that time straighning your hair and then put it up? Lol Thanks for the Q

Love the Marin on you!
Great video! Where did you get the pink hoodie? I've been looking for a good one!
Torrid :)
The last pair really fits your face well and a great color for you. I'd get them too! My opinion only. I tried to do this but can't figure out how to get my eyes measured right plus I need bifocals. Any suggestions? Thanks for the great travel video!
