I really enjoyed this video. I've homeschooled since 1999 and my older children say that reading out loud has been their favorite thing we ever did together. I love the history approach to read and notebook. I'm going to try that with my 15 year old daughter.
Loved this video! Definitely one of my all time favorite! I am always on the lookout for these types it vídeos! Thank you so much for this! And thank your children for letting you show us this part of your homeschool!! Loved the history notebook idea!
Ashlee, I had been looking forward to the notebooking piece, but your morning basket grabbed me from the get-go. How do you like the When People are Big book? I loved your summary of that chapter. P.S. I have been a long time subscriber. Thanks for continuing to make videos. I know that there was a point where you wondered where your "spot" was on UA-cam. I think that you have completely found your place. It's so good to hear someone talk about the middle and high school years. Plus, you are honest about the hard. I had to stop watching some channels that made everything look perfect. Thanks for what you do. ❤
Thankyou for this comment! The book is great but it is wordy and written for adults. So I have to kind of reexplain things to make sure they understand.
I love the notebook. Good job O. And Ashlee I love this history set up. I’m all about notebooking. 🩷loves it🩷 if you get a chance add a little homeschooling in the kitchen . I can totally see O. baking a theme cake or a historical recipe. If you need any let me know🩷

I loved watching you work with your youngest on her essay. It reminds me so much of the conversations I have with my daughter. 😅
My favorite types of videos! I'm recognizing some areas where we could improve in our homeschool. Thanks for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
I love the narration ideas you are using with your middle school daughter. Thanks for sharing!
@@Grace_Filled_Homeschool your welcome!
Love the conversation about putting God first ❤

Love the history notebooking. We are going to see about trying that. Does she still do Generations Science?

Who makes this novel study? Love it!
We've also used those Sonlight books for American history, and enjoyed The Great Turkey walk. 🦃
It’s a fun one!
love your resources and channel
Thankyou!
"Well, I hope you learned something from reading this essay!" If I had a nickel for the number of times...lol.
You and me both!
@ my favorite so far has been “Well, that’s the end of my book report! I hope you had more fun reading this than I did reading the book.” 😆
@ hahah
So will you do Shormann PreAlgebra with your youngest next year?
No most likely algebra 1
@ ok thanks! I was thinking level 7 had a lot of Prealgebra in it.
