I made a mistake in this video: the complimentary to red is not green - it is cyan.
This video is the key to understanding what you do with paints - and yes, all makeup items, such as foundation, concealer, lipsticks, eyeshadows are also paints. In this video I collected (almost) all of my knowledge of the colour theory and uploaded it for you.
Today I will tell you about chromatic and achromatic colours, about true primary colours and why we need to know our complimentary colours.
I am also planning to film another video that will be dedicated to adjusters and how to get the perfect foundation shade.

I can tell that English isn't your first language and yet you are making such an effort to explain everything properly 💖 thank you! Keep going :)
Thank you! I will❤️❤️
I would pay for a masterclass on color theory from you! this is top notch information
Thank you. I actually give individual online lessons, if you have any more questions. Just write me in DMs in IG - my nickname is the same “damoritat” 😉
So nicely explained , and a calming MUA finally 😍🙌
Thank you a lot❤️❤️❤️
Could you please do a video on olive skin? It's a skin type that's often misunderstood and a lot of products don't suit us.
I always thought my undertones are warm, but they're actually cool blue and my skin overtone is very yellow. So I look olive.
This is an interesting topic, I think I will do a video about skin undertones. As for the olive undertone, you may find videos about adjusters and green concealer quite helpful👌😉
@@damoritatthese colors are only used in printing, not in arts. If you were making makeup for darker skinned people, they are not supposed to be vibrant, they need to ordinary colors.
Colors in nature, are not just vibrant.
You have dull, and vibrant colors. Red, yellow, blue. Cyan, magenta, and yellow are only to make fair skinned makeup.
Wonderful video please do some more colour theory videos.
This video had such a calming effect on me. Great content! Could you also do a video on preventing greyness under eyes when applying concealer?
Thank you very much! I will definitely do a video about dark circles😉❤️
I learned so so much. I'm going to rewatch this a few more times. Thank you.
I am really happy to read that this video was helpful❤️🥰
You are stunning, and the way you speak is so soft spoken it’s very calming ❤
Oh thank you❤️🥰🥰
Thank you for all the great videos! As an olive with yellow skin it was so confusing for me until I saw this video. Your explanations are concise yet in depth and easy to understand! I hope we get to see more videos from you 😄
Thank you really much! I’m so happy to read that you’ve found the answers in my video!🥰
I have so many ideas which I want to film but unfortunately I had a lot of stress recently, which affected my skin, so I’m giving myself some time to heal right now🙂 I promise, I will be back❤️
Very much enjoyed this! And to have the basics covered helps!
❤️❤️
Que aula maravilhosa, estou encantada! No meu país é muito difícil achar esse tipo de conteúdo gratuitamente, por isto sou muito grata 🙏. Quanto conhecimento 👏
I’m very happy you liked this video!❤️❤️❤️
Hi I’m from India Explained very well
Amazing and very helpful video!
Thank you!🙏🙏❤️❤️
this was so informative. thank you for explaining this so thoroughly. I never really understood how to use makeup shades that were best for my skin, but I feel like I have a better idea
I’m so happy you liked my video! And I really appreciate your comment❤️❤️
@@damoritatI love your video but, one correction, olive IS green, it's a warm green. Or it can be a cooler yellow.
Which is olive in skin. Olive as a COLOR, is a warm green. A green with a lot of yellow.
Great video and beautiful makeup!!! Love it🤩
Thank you so much❤️❤️
Thank you so much❤️❤️
Until now i see that two time and every time i learn new thing thanks alot , and i hope you make new videos for makeup theory soon❤

You're beautiful amd this video is exactly what everyone need! You inspired me to try on new colors! Thank you! Is it impossible for you to share the eyeshadow palette you're currently wearing in this video? You makeup is so beautiful in this video!
Thank you so much! My videos being an inspiration means a lot to me!
Unfortunately, as I’ve filmed this video a year ago, I absolutely don’t remember what I used on the eyes. I probably just corrected my natural pigmentation with a sculptor, may be added a dash of the NARS Orgasm blush on the centre if the lid (i’m not sure). I really don’t remember.
glad I found your channel, hello from America 👋
Thank you! I am very glad to see you here🥰❤️
8:15 Oompa Loompas over there waving like, "Ummm, hello" 😄🤣😜 Juuuust kidding ♥ Very helpful video, easy to understand and follow along. I've wanted to learn this but other videos I've watch have either bored me or lost me pretty quick. Def looking into more of your content. Thank you!
Super informative and interesting video!!!

It was very helpful. Thank you! 🐱
Glad you liked it❤️❤️
So interesting! Great video!
Thank you! Put a lot of time and effort into it🥰
Thank you so so much for your videos!!!!
I’m really glad u like them❤️❤️
I dint realise but I always used Orange to create skin tones for painting... I now understand why. 😮
Starting with orange is the shortest way to get skin colour!👍
*NEW SUBSCRIBER* thank you for this love your accent
Thank you very much!🙏❤️❤️❤️
What is the colorful palette you are using to create foundation shades it looks awesome!
It’s a palette of creme colours by Make Up Secret🥰
Great work 🤍
Thank you❤️
Excelente video!
Thank you
Wonderful video pls can u do a video on different transition shade for diff skintones
Thank you❤️ Do you mean eyeshadow shades?
Can you tell me what color palettes your using???? The ones your mixing with pleaseeee
If I remember correctly, this is a palette by Make Up Secret - it’s almost identical to Make Up For Ever texture-wise.
This colour theory is quite tricky 🥺
I really learned and understood well thank
you. Can you please mention which collar pallet is it?
I’m really glad to read this❤️
This is a palette by Make Up Secret, but it’s basically the same as the Make Up For Ever palette in terms of texture
Really helpful video! Could you please let me know about the brand of the color palette that you have? I am looking to buy one at the moment
Thanks ❤
I’m really happy you liked it❤️ The palette I’m using in the video is by Make-up Secret (it has the same formula, as Make Up For Ever).
What are you wearing on your lips in this video? Love the color and shine
Honestly, I don’t remember - it was the mix of everything😅 The shine comes from the clear gloss by MAC though - this I do remember
opposite color to red is green?
on the color wheel its blue(at least at the color wheel that you use on this video). Or by red you mean Magenta? tell me if its incorrect and why.
Oposite colour to red (which is in between magenta and yellow) is cyan. Opposite colour to magenta is green.
Прекрасный английский 😍😍
Спасибо большое!
I love your colour theory video and thank you for right knowledge❤
I’m so glad you liked it! Thank you❤️
What’s the name of your color pallet?
Mine is by Makeup Secret, but it is almost the same as the Make Up For Ever one
@@damoritat thank you so much! 😊
You're amazing ❤❤ Free Palestine 🇵🇸 ❤
Thank you so much❤️🖤
Am simple, I see Palestinian flag, I like.
Thank you❤️ As I’m half Palestinian, it means a lot for me🫶
