Yesss!!! I started walking in my early 20s after visiting my cousin in Boston. I was working out with weights and cycling a ton to stay fit, but I simply walked around Boston for 3 days and came home 3lbs lighter lighter with my clothes loose. AND I felt so much better mentally. All the body image crap wasn't in my head...the way it can be so loud as a young woman. I've been at it since then, and walking meditation keeps me grounded. I'm in my 50s and don't have the menopause apple shape that so many of my relatives have at this age. My life has been EXTREMELY stressful the last 2 years, yet I'm still able to maintain my weight, and I'll swear it's walking. Absolutely worth trying!! Thanks for sharing, Karen. Love your channel direction.
Welcome to my channel! Thank you so much for sharing your story! It’s such a simple proactive thing we can do and quite underrated! It’s so wonderful to meet you 💫 yes the body image crap is a battle but we got this and with walking we are #winning 🎉 congratulations on your consistent success in your health 🎉
@beautifuliam9347 monjauro. It's been life changing. I no longer have to take any diabetes meds, my blood pressure is consistently normal. I'm so healthy besides weightloss!
Agree 100% need more stuff in a wellrounded fit life - walking I find has been a super base for me but I add sprints, resistance training and good nutrition - thank you for your share :)
I walk 15,000-18,000 steps a day 7 days a week and weight train 2 days a week plus yoga fir relaxing and don’t lose any weight age 55 menopausal. I eat healthy and I reduce stress . Calories are all that matters you can’t “ walk “ the weight off !
Thank you for sharing your routine ! It's inspiring to see your dedication to health and fitness! 100% agree quality calories matter! Walking is a super base to any exercise habit! Love it!
Thank you for bringing up this point! It's always good to be aware of how our body reacts to different activities. It's different for everyone which is why I like short bursts for me - If it's a long walk at a brisk pace that will definitely raise my cortisol - It's a natural response to exercise and is not always bad, however too much can reak havok in my body - Always do what's best for your body in the season you are in.

Walking is good for recovery days, and to clear your head during your lunch hour, but if you truly want to be fit it's not enough.

@@KarenWilsonOnline 👍

That’s for sure 😀
If I hear Calorie Defecit one more time, I’m gonna scream
Totally 💯 agree I know I said it in this video but I prefer to eat energetically have you been hearing that phrase a lot lately?
😂 I’m sorry but if we want to maintain our weight or lose weight we have to consider our calorie intake. See, I didn’t say it 😅
@@shaunaboo961I've never counted calories and I never will. I eat meals, no snacks and try to stick to low glycemic foods. It's about hormones

Calories are not the solution. That’s untrue
That routine sounds incredibly stressful. Have you ever gotten your cortisol checked?
Doesn't walking at a fast pace induce cortisol?
