That is the best explanation of picking up dropped stitches. You are pertly clear. Ladder and bind off were the key words form me.

Nice to hear somebody else express those Instagram feelings. I've felt that way for a few months and basically fell off the planet. Enjoy seeing you,

I agree with everything you’ve said about Bridgerton! They changed so much that I couldn’t enjoy it like my friends who haven’t read the book.

Your Harlow hat is looking great!
The way you showed how to ladder back up is exactly the way I do it if I don’t have my Susan Bate’s fix it tool. I keep one of those everywhere, even have one in my car!
My weekly win was getting my taxes done! Whew

Love that gray and pink sweater. Your knitting is nice and even and same for your crochet. Keep up the good work. You have a great eye for color. PAMRI

I wish I’d had your perfectionism advice when I was in my 20s, it may have helped me from learning some life lessons the hard way! 😬

Nancy Warren is another great author that has a series of books about whimsical knitting vampires. I find the books very entertaining. Hope you take a look at them.

I haven't been using any social apps for a while now (aside from youtube, if that counts lol) and I also feel like I get sooo much more knitting done! One thing which might be helpful for others that still like to share, is that I actually muted everyone on my feed/stories etc. So when I went on, I could post but then I wasn't immediately seeing what everyone else was doing right in front of me when I opened the app, preventing from mindless scrolling. If I wanted to see what people were up to, I had to think of them, and then search for them. Having everyone muted can be really helpful for creators who still want to post, since they can spend more time focusing on creating, and less just looking at what others are up to!

Thank You for showing how to fix those sneaky escapees 😶 that's my biggest trouble, if I accidentally loose a stich, I got no clue what to do about it n I end up starting my project from da 0 again.. 🙄🤣

Your hat looks so good, Natalie. So inspired by all the knitwear. I am finally knitting the “Like a Cloud” cardigan. You had answered my Q on it on one of your vlogs. That was so helpful. I will be coming to NYC in September. Hope you will be in town and I can meet you.

How funny! I was thinking to myself that after watching your video I would find a hat pattern (was looking for two color and wanted to try brioche for the first time). I will be casting on the Harlow hat next now because yours is exactly what I was looking for!

Great podcast! Thank you for showing how to pick up fallen stitches, I actually have to do that but am putting it off.
Would you be willing to show us sometime how you do your helix knitting to alternate yarn when knitting with hand painted yarn. I’ve looked at multiple tutorials but haven’t found a good one yet. Thank you 🧶

I have blocked before knitting the ribbing, and I left the needles in. I just needed to be careful, but it's nice to block, try on, and then be able to go right back to knitting.

Great podcast! I love your prismatic sweater!! Also, you gave great advice at the end of the episode. I related to it. I agree everyone needs to be proud of themselves for the things that are hard for them even if those things are not hard for others.

Your prismatic looks so great! I can’t wait to see how you include the rest of the pink. Pilates! I love Pilates so much and did it for several years. I remember the first time I pulled myself upside down on the Cadillac using my abs. I felt superhero strong. 😀

I've always picked up dropped stitches that way, didn't know I was so smart. A friend gave me a little crochet hook to keep on my keychain and I forget it's there.

On your sweater even if you decide to make it short sleeve you could still maybe bind off in the pink? Or I don't know much about brioche, but what about a 2 color brioche ribbing?

Since I never use a crochet hook to pick up dropped stitches, this technique is very familiar. Hint-if you drop a purl stitch-turn the work to the wrong side and treat it as a knit stitch, fix it, turn the knitting back right and continue knitting. I have read many books and watched many movies/series from those books. I have only enjoyed on books series/movie series equally. That was the Harry Potter series. Otherwise, I am ALWAYS disappointed with the movie in comparison to the book. I am currently listening to Outlander, and I will NOT watch the series until I have finished the books. With Twilight, I hated the books, and just watched the movies.

Do you helical knit on sleeves? If so, how do you do that with decrease rounds? Would you decrease on the same strands? Or stick to decreasing the same row?

How does everyone get their knitting mojo back. I have been in such a funk of not feeling all the items i have on my needles some of which I’m almost done knitting just cannot seem to find the motivation not knit or if I do it’s like a row or two.

Sometimes I will start a new project and just the let the ones that don’t excite me sit for a while! I make sure to pick something I’m very excited about the FO for. Usually that’s enough to kick start.
Also, if something doesn’t bring you joy, it’s okay to frog it and reclaim the yarn, even if you’re almost done! I’ve done that. It’s very freeing, because when you reclaim the yarn, you get to enjoy it twice and it’s less guilt inducing because you haven’t wasted anything.

I watch one of Stephen Wests videos on UA-cam, works every time 😅 His enthusiasm and the way he talks about yarn and colors just makes me want to create all the things. :) And in general watching knitting podcasts like Natalies and seeing what others are up to makes me feel excited about knitting. :)

Go yarn shopping but don’t really have to buy anything. Just looking at new yarns makes me want to get my wips done for new projects.
