Yoongi's scream and Seokjin's high notes ✨✨✨ Ps: I CANT KEEP UP WITH ALL THEIR AGENDAS RIGHT NOW. WHEN THEY MEANT TO TAKE A BREAK, IT'S A DIFFEFENT BREAK. ALL. OF THEM ARE DROPPING SOMETHING 🤣
i think it's a korean thing where saying you're going "to run faster" means "to work harder" so bts saying that they kept running and running, it just means they kept working harder and harder to reach where they are
When I first heard the "If we live fast let us die young" lyric, I was thinking "No! Please don't die!" But one interpretation I came across was that this was a way to turn the "Live Fast Die Young" saying on its head i.e. instead of being a reference to reckless living, since ARMY are BTS' youth (according to Jin, I think?), it means BTS will keep running with ARMY until they die, since we're young forever. I liked this interpretation! But who knows for sure.
Interesting. I would definitely like to think that line has an alternative meaning to the apparent one. Being a call back to Forever Young makes sense. Ie., if we continue to live fast all our lives, we will be young when we die, no matter how many years have gone by.
@@Siennaflower That's actually what I thought they were referencing too, esp as the next song (of their new songs on the album) opens with a recording of ARMY singing *Forever Young.*
Being an older Army, the song Never Die Young by James Taylor comes to mind. The song starts: “We were ring around the rosy children, THEY were circles around the sun. Never give up, never slow down, never grow old, never ever die young.” It goes on to talk about how successful these people were/are and how they “rose above us like a big balloon.” It was a lead single back in 1988 before BTS was even born but the song really sounds like it could have been written about them. (Just my random thought. Of course the “live fast, die young theme occurs in many songs and sayings across the world. This one just came to me.)
As soon as I heard a few seconds of this, I yelled what is this to my partner in life. He said it was like house music and he explained that it was a mixture of different genres. To which I said this is BTS's new song and he said of course it is cuz that's what they do and he doesn't even listen to BTS. 💜 🐇🕳️🥰💜
Everytime I listen to this song, I always go back to Hobi’s birthday greeting to Yoongi where he put out the video of Yoongi recording his scream at the end of his verse. And Jin’s high notes kills me every single time. Love love your reaction Andrew and Caitlin!
Okay that sounds hilarious, any chance you can recommend good search terms to find that video? I'm just pulling regular birthday wishes and army-made things....
Okay, okay!!! I’ve been waiting for Caitlin’s reaction to this! In particular the lyrics “if we live fast, let us die young”. BTS are never offhand with their lyrics, they always mean something so I was a little unnerved by this line. On the 13th June I wrote the following in a notebook after listening to the song many times. ‘This line which is repeated throughout the track is a little unsettling for ARMYs. What is the meaning behind these words? My theory is that when they say “die young” they actually mean they will be ‘young at heart’ even at the end of their life. So if they keep running, ie: “live fast”, they will be young forever. And that’s it!” Yes I really wrote that last bit 😂 In the 77Q 77A Interview they did on the 21st, V, in answer to a question said: “Even if we’re old, we’re still young” and then “Even when we age, we’ll still enjoy youth” Couple this with the fact they included a sound clip of ARMY singing “Young Forever” at the beginning of “For Youth”, I think we can take these lyrics to be a positive message rather than something negative. I’m glad that other ARMYs have come to the same conclusion.
Some people said that in Korea, to live fast is to work hard. If I'm gonna stitch that with your interpretation that to die young is to be young forever it would translate to 'we work hard let us be young forever'.
personally, I thought "live fast die young" meant that they've been working hard and running fast since before their debut and will continue to do so in the future but because they've been working so hard since the beginning, you shouldn't expect them to spend the rest of their lives doing just that. Like they also deserve to spend their lives peacefully without the pressure of releasing music or anything like that and just live the rest of their days doing whatever they want. ARMY will always be their for BTS and vice versa so I thought of it like that.
Yes, the sound is retro BTS, but this song took me way, way back---that sizzling ascending guitar riff triggered memories of the Batman and Robin of my childhood (yep, I'm that old). Holy banger, Batman! KaPow! 🦇🔥 Edit: Wait a minute--I just realized that your opening to this video also takes me back to Batman and Robin! 🤯
JK's collaboration with Charlie Puth was called Left And Right. J-Hope's song being released on friday is called More. I'm willing to bet they stuffed Run BTS with titles of upcoming solo projects. It'd be so typically them!
You and Caitlin are amazing. This song is a certified bop and Caitlin is right, this is a song to drive too! It is definitely a retro song and very hype. Glad you guys enjoyed this song! When this is shown live we will die rightfully. Awesome reaction as always guys!

Andrew, this was a wonderful surprise. Thank you! The rapline doing the chorus and vocal line doing the verse is classic BTS and harkens back to their early music.
My interpretation on the line, “If we live fast let us die young”. So BTS has talked about how they got to where they are today by working hard and by running…They have/had busy lives and constantly doing something. However they talked about how now they just need to some rest and figure out themselves more to be able to continue…so I think that line is saying these things: 1. If we just live fast (have a busy schedule all the time) it isn’t good for people. It can wear people out and/or die young. 2. They talked about how they haven’t had much experience of life (and of youth) because they were constantly working. So they even though they are older their souls are young because they haven’t had many experiences of normal(ish) life. 3. Also I think I could mean to enjoy life and it is good to take breaks for yourself. Having a constant busy schedule could make someone die young just because it can become not healthy. We all need to take time for ourselves every once in a while… Idk these are my opinions… Also the question that Yoongi bring up about why they became successful. I think he answers part of it then RM finishes the answers. As for Jhope he is saying thank you for your hardwork and they have done well. Now it is time for them to explore themselves and their solo works for a while and to “Go Get It”, good luck!!! (Not in a disbanding way) Also the pre chorus I think, where it says “run Bangtan run…” I actually feel like it should be faster. It seems too slow. However after reading the lyrics and interpreting the song I think it is for a purpose. While they have said they have always ran and worked hard to where they are today. They need to slow down for a bit, hence why it isn’t faster, so they don’t “die young”. Idk these are my opinions on the song…
I like your interpretation. Mine is a little different but I came up with it before seeing the Festa Dinner. That put a different light on things certainly. Your interpretation makes a lot of sense.
I take the ‘If we live fast let us die young’ to mean, ‘If we live the life we want to, we will never grow old and always stay young (in their hearts and souls) until we die’. At least, that how I want to interpret it.
Hi guyssss!! Yay! The guys described the new songs in Spotify "stories"(?), whatever they are called and then in a couple other videos (77Q and 77A and I think in AppleRadio thing?). As for this one, Yoongi said he had to train again since it's been so long since he rapped like that T-T. And you saw in the festa dinner that he wants to try other genres and I do think he'll do fantastic. I love how (as usual) the guys take turns in the verses, and Jin growl/lower register is honey to my ears. I can't wait for him to explore, I think rock suits him a lot (or pop-rock, you can hear him in different covers they've done in the past). Ah, in Joon's last sentence what's referenced it's a Korean proverb, they are above everyone now running. Hobi's verses is adorable AAAAAAAAAAAAND I already bought his album (only digital for now!) and can't wait for Friday (we got concept photos today and they are exquisite). Hope your setting up the place is going smoothly (I take weeks after the first big day, maybe you already have everything done lol), the kids (:P) are doing alright in the new home and you have awesome neighbors! ^^ Have a great night!
Every single time you manage to impress me, no matter if it's only you or you're with Caitlin I'm always amazed by the way every reaction gives me something to learn, to notice that I haven't before and adds fire to my Bangtan obsession. Andrew you always get the instruments, the artistry (is that a word?) and the effort that comes with creating music; with Caitlin is worse... because she always finds the poetry, references and she remembers a lot of details (and that put my mind in work with a lot of theories and the connection with the BU) Also... I love everytime Caitlin reacts to a 'skkrt' moment 🤭 I'd you read carefully the lyrics, they tell a story; *their story*, they're talking about the small apartment where they used to share one bedroom; the studio where they used to make their music and in J-hope's verse he's telling the rest of the members that they worked hard. At the end when RM is singing "Run beautiful, run" instead of "Run bulletproof, run" its a direct line dedicated to ARMY, no matter what, when or where BTS and ARMY are together as one.
I think because they're saying IF we live fast, LET us die young, they're saying if they experience everything the world has to offer them young, let them die rather than be without anything to live for? probably phrasing this poorly, but that was how I interpreted it
“I’m so happy I could die”, I think that phrase is what BTS were addressing, as most people wait their whole lives to get to a point they can say that and some never do. They on the other hand are saying to go full system, go hard / fast now so that you can enjoy happiness now and capture the feeling of that phrase sooner rather than later.
Run beautiful [reactors] run yeah you gotta run!!! That bass line just keeps driving and amping me up and up 🙌 I'm glad you had fun reacting to this one 😁 and also enjoyed the extra notes in there 🏃♀️
“If we live fast let us die young” as soon as I heard that part it reminded me of the song Forever Young from Alphaville “Let us die young or let us live forever” which to me feels like a proclamation of youth being the time to create and live because just like that song says “Youth's like diamonds in the sun And diamonds are forever” like they want to try and do everything they can now, when they have all the time in the world to try new things and live different lives
9:32 to me it instantly made me think of Young Forever and the often repeated mantra, especially by RM, of being young forever. So I think it means ‘let us be young in our way of thinking til the day we die’ / let us maintain our youthful mindset even when we’re old.
Of course, every art receives a different interpretation to the listener and Run BTS today, after the break announcement, has, for me, another meaning. This chorus "If we live fast, let us die young" fits very well with Namjoon's line about the kpop industry demanding non-stop production and more production, undermining their creative strength without allowing them to mature properly.
Thanks to you both, I love how you are together on camera, and your knowledge and enthusiasm. I do love Run BTS, but I also find it somewhat heartbreaking. To me, this lyric has no poetic license applied whatever, but instead is a straightforward unvarnished account of what their life has been like since they started as trainees (albeit with some short breaks away from "schedules"). Even their "vacations, In the Soop and Bon Voyage were, in fact, work for them. If they had any freedom it all it's unlikely they'd choose to go on holiday with all seven, never mind the director, managers, cameras and make-up etc. This song to me sounds less like a song and more like a documentary showing the inside of their heads and hearts. That line in the first verse "please don't send me home" belongs to trainee time, but I know that feeling stayed around after debut for ages because Big Hit remained fragile for several years. The leaking roof ... well I reckon that stayed like that for a good few years... Knowing that this was/is their life breaks my heart quite honestly, although I am very grateful for it. And I adore the song, the pace, and rhythm of it. But it's unremitting - maybe even because it is unremitting, it is exciting too. But no wonder they are exhausted. Even though they are so wealthy now and presumably secure ... how true is that. Hybe's stock price plummeted with the news that BTS were pausing group activities, and the costs of providing a free concert won;t have helped that. BTS members will themselves be OK, I'm sure, but they own a lot of the stock themselves, and I'm damn certain they will feel responsible for the company and staff. But they have to let that go. And, yes, we are still getting a LOT of content from them, making it clear that this has been planned and prepared for years. I think there is more of this to come. They are just incredible.
The song is AMAZING 🙌. I’m waiting for the day that a reactor recognizes Jin doing those incredible high notes, always thinking that is Jimin or JK, WHY is so hard to believe that it could be JIn, a shame, sorry JIN 🙏
Th message & production in this song are fantastic!! Cannot wait for the day BTS perform this one live. Hope you check out their 3rd song from the new album. It's called 'For Youth.'
Not sure why they're not promoting this one as it is sooo good. It gets you up on your feet and moving. I loved your reaction and the comments from other ARMYs.
The movie (Marathon) was about a runner that was autistic and he ran fast but no coach could coach him so his mother coached him and he became the fastest runner and eventrually won races. So as you know autistic people have a hard time communicating with people but he could run and that is what he did, and he did it well. I think that is the premise of what they are singing about that they ran as a way of communicating with an industry that did not have time for them. They made their mark in this industry because they never let up their heads they just ran. Jimin and Jin were singing the high notes and screams.
Kaitlin’s face was totally into this one like she didn’t expect it. The blend of genres and how hype the song is just made me looove it. Post Festa dinner it feels really significant they are off running into chapter 2 now.
Thanks for your reaction, Andrew and Caitlin, while watching with you, I picked this up from the lyrics "If we live fast let us die young" - They talk about being marathon runners, which needs a steady pace and a long term plan, If they keep going at an intense pace that will be the end of them (by now you have seen the dinner party like the rest of us, hugs) This is their plan for the future, to last a long time. Like the lyrics from Paradise "Marathon, Marathon, life is long. Do it slowly" Their genius is always there to discover. ApoBangpo! Hope you are looking forward to J-Hope's new single, More!! #90%
Please, check out "butterfly" and "outro: tear live". Tear was actually written by SUGA when they actively considered disbanding back in early 2018. As usual, references in these songs made me google lots of stuff and have a better understanding of people. Rabbit hole indeed. Love from Brazil! :)
You guys are amazing. its always fun hanging out with you. Caitlin got it .Live fast, die young meant living for today or YOLO mentality. Do what you want so to hell with the consequences. hehe
Andrew and Caitlin you guys are great at reaction videos. I just wanted to thank you for the new lyric video Brie did. (Thank you Brie) I hope you keep doing BTS reactions while they are on break. I appreciate the way to break down the videos and I love how cute Caitlin was when she heard skrttt. I have to look at past videos and see if you did Left and Right yet. Thank you again. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you so much for the reaction! I just wanted to say that both high notes at the end of the song are Jin's doing. Also Jimin's doing most of harmonizing and I think that the voice at the beginning of the song, right after Yoongi started it, belongs to one of their producers ADORA! She has been in other BTS songs, mostly doing harmonizing. But a song you might remember her from is Pluto, in Yoongi's verse. The whole "Hello" "Hello" "How have you been?" "I've been good, you?"
"So many things are happening!!" "Whoa!" ~ It's like a song that embodies all of our lives 🤣🔥 Oh my gosh, I'm flopped on the couch with all my stuff from work thrown all over the room because I needed to watch this right when I came home. Thank you two and BREE for a great Rx for a long day 💜🙌🏻 Can we talk about call and response on Jazz Talk? And I also feel like RM answering SUGA is the kind of vocal version of what I've seen jazz musicians do with each other musically?
hi im not sure if you mentioned this somewhere already but have you watched the bts festa 2022? or if you plan on posting a reaction video? would love to watch it if you do! 💜
I feel like the "If we live fast, let us die young;" the "if" is a big part. They have promised that they will be here and create for awhile, and that has been a "promise." So I feel the "if" means that if they dont live up to the promise of longevity - they live fast - then they deserve to/should, die young/not be as popular anymore. That line feels like theyre asking ARMY to keep them accountable so we can stay together for a long time
My take on "If we live fast, let us die young". That "young" here for me means their mental and emotional condition. Like if you are young, you have this sense of freedom, being healthy, happy, just enjoying life and doing what they want to do. So it's like "We work hard (run faster) but let us do it the way we want it, so in the end we are happy with no regrets.
Thank you for sharing your opinion, 😘 I love you two energy🥰 super exciting happy smile, 🤩especially Caitlin. 🤩when I would watch this channel, I'm happy to see Bangtan💜, also a beautiful couple smile makes me smile.💜 감사합니다 🙏🙏🙏
I feel like BTS was sitting around discussing music like… BTS: I wonder how many different genres or sounds we could put in one song? Suga: Hold my soju. 😂😂😂😂 Such a good jam though!
One of my favorite lines from another band is "let's grow old and die young". I think of V's line like that; age is irrelevant. If Bangtan must live their lives running, at least they'll never grow stagnant and will continue to renew themselves. My personal ambition is to reach at least 80 and die as young as when I was 18. ☺😉
Yes the song is AMAZiNG!!! I’m waiting for the day that a reactor recognizes Jin doing those amazing high notes, always saying WOW Jimin or JK and after that ups sorry apparently was JIN, always the same, a shame, sorry JIn 🙏
Found this reference: Is it better to live fast and die young? One crowded hour of glorious life is worth an age without a name, said eighteenth century poet Thomas Mordaunt. And: James Dean is still the model - it's better to live fast and die young better than lingering on.
Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. This is groovy. Reminded me of Elvis at the start. Also, reminded me of their older songs. I like the rhythm. Suga spit in this dang. They all on fire. I feel though they used a sample here or referenced something. This is going to bother me, sigh. It sounds familiar. It's a bop for sure!!! Maybe a jive vibe. hmm. Live fast, die young meant living for today or YOLO mentality. Do what you want so to hell with the consequences. =0p Hugs. -NY USA Army 2019💟 erume said on 6/13/22 There's a Korean saying “Above someone running, there is someone flying” that means there is always someone who's better than you. in the lyrics BTS say "there's a running man, there's a flying man, and above all of them runs Bangtan."
Again you watched wrong lyrics video....oh boy...how many reactors have watched wrong reaction videos I have lost count. In second verse it was V singing with Jin not Jk all the time. they put jk in V's parts (@6:00 to @6:20.)..so disrespectful of the creator. Also y'all should check before you react to these color coded stuff, watch from Lemoring channel...they have the best transitions mostly correct.
I appreciate your opinions, but I do have to disagree about a few points. At 6:00, they did put V singing with Jin so they were not incorrect, and at 6:20 it is absolutely JK singing with Jin. I have a team of people (in which more than 1 speaks Korean, and several are musicians/vocalists) who checked several lyric videos. Lemoring and several other channels had some lyrics that were mistranslated which is why this lyric video was created. This one also included references and explanations that others do not.

Andrew you always get the instruments, the artistry (is that a word?) and the effort that comes with creating music; with Caitlin is worse... because she always finds the poetry, references and she remembers a lot of details (and that put my mind in work with a lot of theories and the connection with the BU)
Also... I love everytime Caitlin reacts to a 'skkrt' moment 🤭
I'd you read carefully the lyrics, they tell a story; *their story*, they're talking about the small apartment where they used to share one bedroom; the studio where they used to make their music and in J-hope's verse he's telling the rest of the members that they worked hard.
At the end when RM is singing "Run beautiful, run" instead of "Run bulletproof, run" its a direct line dedicated to ARMY, no matter what, when or where BTS and ARMY are together as one.
I think because they're saying IF we live fast, LET us die young, they're saying if they experience everything the world has to offer them young, let them die rather than be without anything to live for? probably phrasing this poorly, but that was how I interpreted it
That's a great interpretation!
Bree's lyric video is great! Simple and easy to read.
No but because Run BTS was such a great song! Love how BTS can pull off both vocal and rap heavy songs but make it an absolute masterpiece
That bass line just keeps driving and amping me up and up 🙌
I'm glad you had fun reacting to this one 😁 and also enjoyed the extra notes in there 🏃♀️
“If we live fast let us die young” as soon as I heard that part it reminded me of the song Forever Young from Alphaville “Let us die young or let us live forever” which to me feels like a proclamation of youth being the time to create and live because just like that song says “Youth's like diamonds in the sun And diamonds are forever” like they want to try and do everything they can now, when they have all the time in the world to try new things and live different lives
9:32 to me it instantly made me think of Young Forever and the often repeated mantra, especially by RM, of being young forever. So I think it means ‘let us be young in our way of thinking til the day we die’ / let us maintain our youthful mindset even when we’re old.
Bangtan is always feeding us. Excited for Chapter 2 always. 💜
Army Love, Wellness and Stay Blessed Everyone!🙋🏽🤗😍💜💞✌🏽🙏🏽 #BTSProof #JhopeJITBisComing #Hopepalooza2022
this song (and both your reaction to the song and it's various elements) is still 🔥🙌
Thanks to you both, I love how you are together on camera, and your knowledge and enthusiasm.
Caitlin you're so pretty 😍 run beautiful run - RM
The song is AMAZING 🙌. I’m waiting for the day that a reactor recognizes Jin doing those incredible high notes, always thinking that is Jimin or JK, WHY is so hard to believe that it could be JIn, a shame, sorry JIN 🙏
I really love this oneee
I love your channel so much Andrew! You and Caitlin are a true delight
This is actually my favourite song out of the three and I'm so glad you reacted to it! It's so cool! Loved the reaction as always :3
In Baepsae Suga says his legs are worth a million $
Yay FIRST❤❤ love your reactions!! ❤❤
Thank you so much!! And we have a dog named Rosie too!! 💜😂
Thank you for the lyrics video, so useful to learn Korean
Honestly I think the line would have made more sense if it went something like ‘let us live fast even if we die young’ but it is what it is.
Do what you want so to hell with the consequences. hehe
You guys are fun to watch.
"Was that Suga that started to rap like craz....? Yeah, it was probably Suga" lol
@moonchild gave the best comment! 👌 👏 👍 I agree! 💜 btw, only lyric video with the correct "Beautiful" to end the song. Good job
Hi Andrew, nice to see Caitlin back -- healthy to her 100% self. 💜
Jin was the one doing crazy highnotes
Thank you two and BREE for a great Rx for a long day 💜🙌🏻
Can we talk about call and response on Jazz Talk? And I also feel like RM answering SUGA is the kind of vocal version of what I've seen jazz musicians do with each other musically?
Yes!! Please remind me if I forget to bring it up 😅 but I'll try to pick a jazz song that has a good example of call and response
Los amooo💜💜
Caitlin you look so cute!! :)
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@caitlincross7007 u hit it out of the park with your assessment
Can you react to FOR YOUTH?
hi im not sure if you mentioned this somewhere already but have you watched the bts festa 2022? or if you plan on posting a reaction video? would love to watch it if you do!
That line feels like theyre asking ARMY to keep them accountable so we can stay together for a long time
If we live fast let us die young. Kinda YOLO.
Die Young means Young Forever for me.
No matter how we aged, we are forever young and will die young
In this song, Jimin's singing style and machine are so good at highlighting the point of the song
That's amazing💜
Jimin's voice ❤
I feel like BTS was sitting around discussing music like…
BTS: I wonder how many different genres or sounds we could put in one song?
Suga: Hold my soju.
😂😂😂😂 Such a good jam though!
I wanna say you run so fast age can’t catch up with you so when you die you are still young
Just to let you know though, for super accurate translated lyric vids with correct member singing, AF Taehyung makes the best
💜
I think if you live fast you stay young? Just powering on without worrying about the finish line.
Yes the song is AMAZiNG!!! I’m waiting for the day that a reactor recognizes Jin doing those amazing high notes, always saying WOW Jimin or JK and after that ups sorry apparently was JIN, always the same, a shame, sorry JIn 🙏
Yet to come Live ........and Yet to come animated video please
Found this reference:
Is it better to live fast and die young?
One crowded hour of glorious life is worth an age without a name, said eighteenth century poet Thomas Mordaunt.
And:
James Dean is still the model - it's better to live fast and die young better than lingering on.
=0p Hugs. -NY USA Army 2019💟

There's a Korean saying “Above someone running, there is someone flying” that means there is always someone who's better than you. in the lyrics BTS say "there's a running man, there's a flying man, and above all of them runs Bangtan."
Love your reaction.. 💜💜💜please react to bts proof performance With special guest anderson park..
Pls. React to ( Ninety one - Bata ) Q-POP from Kazakhstan country 🇰🇿🎼
Also can you kindly not talk over all V parts....
