Great report and lovely army. Hard to add much, except maybe that as nice as it was to have tidal swarms pick up tokens I did wonder if they might be better chaffing at times so you can get some better thumping in, and then win because your less damaged Placoderms etc have won the fight and have the tokens :) Envoy needs something else to make him more worthwhile I think, shroud or bastion, even warbow. I am tempted to try Naiads with the Hammer to get the extra 2 wounds vs T5 and 4 wounds vs T6 on average.
Trident Realms are a cool army but quite different playstyle. I think I'll take them to next convention but will be quite different with more Naiads and elementals as that's what I currently have, plus painting up a Coral Giant to give them a bit more armour cracking ability.

Yeah I have some hordes of Naiads but every time I try them they tend to get shot off. Def 3+ 20/22 is just too easy for Gladestalkers to remove in a single turn. And they're too expensive to just lose to shooting. But I admit I am still early in my TR journey and have focussed for now on Placoderms.
Regarding the swarms, perhaps one going for token (on the left) was fine, but the right was too risky. I should have let the Steel Behemoths do their thing and instead, as you suggest, chaff up some dwarfs and get some hits in.

Thanks for the report, fine work as ever. Commiserations on the games, you seem aware of the missteps made here and there - like the tidal swarms wandering into danger in Game 2 - but there are some places where I don't know what I would have done differently, like the wall of Dwarf hordes. Trident doesn't lift that well and that list demanded some heavy lifting!
It's hard to add anything on the list, as there's no fat on it to make points with ... Did you like the Tidal Swarms? A thought might be to split the Riverguard into 2x troops at the cost of one swarm, but I'm not sure that helps overly. This makes the Riverguard into fast chaff that can really threaten flanks if ignored, which could help lift as needed, versus the swarms which don't really do much if left to their own devices (apart from win scenarios). Just generally, I really dislike Envoys with nothing to do apart from inspire, but again, no points.
I have a pretty low opinion of Kraken as damage dealers, but they're very good at area denial with that long charge and can tank like nothing else when not facing Me 2+ units :P Currently double Giants are more appealing, however that feels like a 3.5E meta blip - CG are kind of over-tuned for their points. So a cool thing to take advantage of, if you've got the models? I'm running 2x Kraken + 1x Giant in 2300 and sticking with 2x Kraken under that level, as the speed is really huge.

I'm glad it's not just my inability to shift points. I also dislike the envoy and would like instead another Mythican, but the Envoy is so cheap and I really do need the Inspiring. Riverguard troops might be the way to go, good thing they are based as Troops! There's plenty of tweaking to be done.
The biggest tweak though might be to only take one Titan in exchange for one day some Depth Horrors. Damage output is better, although definitely not tanky. You do make a good case for the Kraken. It's threat for projection is like a dragon without having to be 300 points. But yes it struggles really kill units, and is vulnerable to shooting if concentrated on.
I wish Naiads could come into the list but every time I try them (Ensnarers), they just cost too much for doing what a horde of infantry half the price (think skeletons or rabble) would do, which is act as a buffer that's a little while to kill. What I really want to try are Dambusters, but while there isn't a model I'll just have to wait.
Thanks for the detailed comments, always great to discuss armies, especially ones as tricky as the Tridents.

Dambusters are real cool, but unfortunately one of those units that you need to fix with an item (Sharpness usually but Elite is neat because of the tongue) to make them a true hammer. You can 100% use a few of the sentinel to make a horde! They paint up great as well.

I've used a Water Elemental horde w/ Strength as my hammer, and it certainly does work. I'm going to swap it over to a horde of Wyrmriders however, as the buffs are enough to make them seem usable (i.e. they might get to roll that great regen 4+) and they're similar output and even faster than the elementals. We'll see if I regret it!

The De4+ and Ht4 is what makes me wary of Wyrmriders, but that's purely because of war engines! The regen 4+ is fantastic but I wish they had ensnare to survive a countercharge.

I see the quirky little details you put in this video! I guess now you just gotta get better at Kings of War itself 😂

Question about the 1st game with the Undead, its hard to see on the video but I was wondering how the catapults could see your placoderms over the heads of the zombie legion as they are all height 2, it don't look like they can see past

This is always a valid point but in this particular case my opponent was very diligent to check line of sight with a laser pointer, even if the margins were slim. I really I should have put these placoderms in the middle with the thuul behind and pushed hard for the centre.
