"I will continue to be. But you have to be very careful to see me. I will be a flower or a leaf. I will be in those forms and send you a greeting. If you are aware enough, you will recognize me, and you will be smiling at me. I will be very happy about it." ~Thich Nhat Hanh

I did just this. In 1989, when I was 29 and my mother was 58, I talked to her while she was in a coma. I told her if she could get well and stay with us, to do so but if she couldn't be well then she could go. She passed at the moment I said that she could go. I think by giving her permission to go, I released her.

This has scientific evidence because soft and soothing music has shown to benefit patients under anaesthesia and also patients in coma. I also have witnessed it as I am an anesthesiologist. Music for patients under anaesthesia helps patients to recover earlier and require less pain killer. For patients in coma patients have shown physiological improvements in their condition.

The sense of hearing is the last one that we lose after the heart has stopped.I can reassure this, after being dead for 5 minutes.I could hear everything doctors and care personal were saying, their panic, they fight für my life. People should know that the dying perspn hears everything and should speak good words to them as the master said.No fear, after the body has no more life it is just peace, love and compassion.

The moment Thay retold the story when Sir Alfred got received the guidance from Sister Chan Khong, the stories told by his daughter...i could already imagined..how wakeful he was, to be able to hear the words of the people who loved and cherished him.
I began to shed some tears right that moment...until the end song by Sister Chan Khong once again, i got uncontrollably sobbed with flow of tears, just by realizing the out-of-boundary feeling i have..without this physical vehicle "body".
Thank you for gaving us they wisdom of love and goodness..dear Thay.

I am not caught in this body
    I am Life without boundary
I have never been born and I will never die
Look at the ocean and the sky filled with stars
    Manifestations of my wondrous mind
Since imemorial times, I have been free
Birth and death are only doors by which I pass by
    Sacred thresholds on my journey
Birth and death are hide and seek games
So smile to me, take (hold)my hand

“ Body is not me” is just meaning we are giving. It is good philosophy and psychological trick. But consciousness with 5senses what we call reality and we have to accept it. If we don’t accept physical reality then we may be edging psychiatric problem. There is fine line between schizophrenia personality and normal. Hallucinations and delusions are pathological.

My thoughts also. There is an “I” this man says there is no “I” no “you”. I’m afraid the “I” and “ You” is all “ we” are. If he believed we went on in a spirit form after death I could take this but that ceases to exist also so I think he’s just making what he says more pretty.
