If you like salsa and chips, try Margaritaville brand Mild Sweet Onion Salsa and mild means mild. Zero heat, just flavor. And no, I don't work there or own the company. But I am enjoying some while I watch your video. 🧅🍅
Oh yeah…real treasure 😳 A few years ago after my father passed we cleaned out his Chevy van he used when he sold stuff at flea markets and lots of antiques and junk. But we were surprised when we found $1200.00 in cash… RIP dad😢
Years ago was on I 85 going through Gaffney SC and saw a jacket lying in the road. Saw a North Face logo on it so I stopped and picked it up. Nice goretex rain jacket with $1200 in the pocket
Finding cash you put away a while ago and forgot is a hoot. Doesn't matter the amount, it always stirs up memories. A nice little bit of money to put towards something special for your new home.
We can count on one thing with you Silas, you're never boring! You're a good man, a hard worker, and no dummy, you always have a angle to make a buck. It just proves all the ways that you can make money. Those were hog ring pliers for upholstery work.
Silas, you need to research that steal penny. I have researched pennies lately and found that steal pennies can be worth tens of thousands of dollars. I'm not kidding! It will be well worth your time to do the research. Those were not suppose to be circulated because they were test pieces. They are extremely rare.
That fire dept hot wheels car (24:10) is from the "crack-ups" series. I still have a police car and super-x from my childhood. Those two and a handful of other cars survived bb guns and firecrackers.
25:03 That is the top knob from an old percolator coffee pot. It is made of glass so that you can see when the coffee starts boiling in the pot. The water travels up the center tube from the bottom of the pot, then shoots out the top under the pot lid with the see-through knob. The water then flows over the coffee filter basket and seeps into the coffee grounds inside, brewing the coffee.
Pretty cool! I like the money! Ha! But the cars and coins are cool. Nice knife! I like junky stuff. Thanks for taking us along. Good luck getting the truck fixed
Happy for you to have the new home and shop. I think that will be a great set up for you. Good news is now you have “found” money to pay for your truck repairs or by more treasures! I really liked that 2 piece chrome hood ornament. Another great video! Peace
Sorry you had trouble with your truck. Also I love that old fashioned camera. My favorite thing I found in a vehicle is an old pencil sketch on a piece of marble or some kind of stone that my son did of me when I was 8 years old. People look at some man he had talent. Something else that I found in a local police officers good enough to retrieve the fingerprint for me. I found his fingerprint on the inside mirror you know on the windshield. The amazing thing was that it was still there a year later after the car was in storage. After he was killed. Hug your kids as many times as you can.
I think everyone does that, misplaces items. I cleaned my work truck out last year after 3 years of everyday use and found stuff I was looking for. Looks like a nice OBS chevy, hope its not to costly to fix. $600+ money is a great find! take care!
I may have told you this before, but it would not work for me to have your job. I continually see something in these videos I'd love to have. from the 57 Ford in the yard to your new garage! AND I have a nice diesel DURAMAX, but I could have never let the gas king cab sit if it were mine!! I'm 73 now and have little patience or believe it or not time! I enjoy the videos, thanks! Oh, yeah, you wanted to know what I liked best. Interesting cameras, and I wondered if anyone still uses them for anything?
The Linhoff camera is an absolute top end camera. I didn't get a good look at it, but I'm guessing that it is a Tecnica Field Camera. It uses 4" by 5" film. Each one of those film holders has 2 sheets of film. There are other film backs available. I'm guessing that what you have in the case would be worth an absolute minimum of $2,000. I would not be surprised if it were worth $5,000. Linhoff is selling a new version of the camera body- that's no lens, no shutter, and no other accessories,- for $10,000. I worked in a camera store in the 1980's, and sold a lot of "classic cameras".
We all have our days. I remember my first wife bought a bunch of groceries one time and ended up putting $300.00 in the freezer with a turkey. We didn't find it for two months!
You can fix it yourself. I’ve done many of these and look on line for the two wires that you tie together, which runs under the plastic cover leading up to the ignition lock cylinder. Unplug the mini black connector with three wires, cut and splice together two of the three( check internet for the colors) and do your ten minute intervals three times and of course once the third one is done, turn key off, wait ten seconds and start your truck. It works almost every time, unless you have to repeat again. You won’t have to worry about the security system anymore because it’s bypassed.
The funky pliers? They remove window crank handles from antique cars. I have a cheap pair. Yours are higher end. Working in old cars with crank up windows! I was the guy. It took c clips out!
I loved my 2002 Silverado. Check the fuel pump. They know to have bad fuel pump plug. New fuel pump comes with a new plug with 12 inches of wire. My truck did the same thing. I change the fuel pump. 6 months later it did it again. I then changed the wires and the pump worked and the old one did too.
I have an Alenax TBR 2000 bicycle right now we just listed it on market place to try n sell it.. My late father in-law bought it new and stashed it in the attic of his old garage.. he's been dead a long time but My Daughter just sold that old place and we drug it from the attic.. with the exception of the tires n tubes it's like brand new yet.. As filthy as that truck is inside I am not surprised ya found Cash in it.. should be some potatoes in all that dirt if you just dig them up..
33:06 I took a screenshot yesterday and forgot to check it on Google Lens, the best match I could find say's it's a musical horn valve plunger as in trumpets, tubas and such.
So happy for your new home. It’s always great to start in a new place. When first married we had a little rent. When I was able to build a new home? I kept building and building. 7 homes later!!!!! Lololol This is my last. And we live it.❤
I have a 2000 escalade every once and awhile I had the security problem then it got worse sometimes twice a day, my battery went dead because of a bad visor lighted vanity mirror, I replaced that and the battery and it had a slight miss so I did a tune up, new plugs wires and cap and rotor, guess what it never happened again since, that was a couple of years ago.
I remember going to a sheriff's auction back in the late 60's. Bought a 55 Chevy 2dr sedan, $10. Put a battery in it and drove it home. I sure miss those days. By the mid 70's Sheriff's actions had ended. Junk yards started buying everything.
Ha ha ha WOW that was amazing how your finding all the misplaced treasures 🤑 I hope you get organized some day Silas. Good time and thanks from Canada 🇨🇦
Does your truck charge as you drive? It could be your alternator. All your systems will fail one by one, and eventually nothing will work, and you won't be able to start the car either. Thanks for your nice video, and I wish you lots of fun and happiness in your new home.
Those special pliers are for removing the door window crank handles on GM vehicles. I call them Jesus clips, they are spring C clips. You slide the business end of those pliers up behind the handle and either push or pull the clip loose.
Well just think. Forgetting that 600.... with the year or years of time, with inflation. You made money haha. Treasure hunts are great when you know most stuff you have inside your vehicle is good stuff. A trick to do, if you have a leaf blower, just open up all the doors and let it rip. Then fine clean after Keep up with the awesome work Silas
Ah - Truck Starting Problems - maybe its Time for a New One or Great 2nd Hand one - just Thinking ! Brilliant Trinkets - all that Money - wow ! Cheers from Australia !
Somewhere I have some coin’s from the WWII year’s. They are made from steel also, I thought they may be worth something but they weren’t at the time. Did they figure out what was wrong with your old truck?
pro tip: if you haven't started it in 1+ year, put it in NEUTRAL with the parking brake on. Not sure why, but it seems much easier to turn one over like that.
I had a 99 suburban k1500 that did the same thing your truck is doing i chased the issue thinking it was ignition and security but it ended up being a broken ground!
It took me almost 3 months to film this and another 3 months to edit it, I hope you enjoy it!

The old Ram hood ornament was my favorite
Spark plug boot removal pliers!

Most of my hotwheels ended up going in the crusher aka the vice 😉
@@daewooparts Lol!!
Wonderful show and tell Mr. Silas, how two people can forget six Franklins stashed anywhere twice I'll never know.
Stayin tuned! 👍🤠

LOL the " what is this?" in your door pocket is a valve out of a Brass musical instrument like a trumpet.
Pretty cool! I like the money! Ha! But the cars and coins are cool. Nice knife! I like junky stuff. Thanks for taking us along. Good luck getting the truck fixed
That Linhoff is a very high quality camera.
The $600 was my favorite item
Good video Silas
Nothing Beats a Silas Treasure Hunt of ur own Truck! Bonus find, "600 mack-a-loo". Now u can use the money to fix-up ur newest house..

Would love to see the old winch truck.

Make up a bracket stick a big magnet on the end of it then hang that root beer sign on the magnet
Been here from the beginning of this channel and seen a few glimpses of the old Dodge you had at the start. She may be slow but she goes.
We all have our days. I remember my first wife bought a bunch of groceries one time and ended up putting $300.00 in the freezer with a turkey. We didn't find it for two months!
Cool cameras, the bigger the negatives the sharper the picture .

Always big fun, Silas! Thanks again!
I would really love to see that old winch truck
At 33:08, that thing with holes is a valve from a brass instrument like a trumpet.
The funky pliers? They remove window crank handles from antique cars. I have a cheap pair. Yours are higher end. Working in old cars with crank up windows! I was the guy. It took c clips out!
You are 100 percent correct. I have set just like that. They are used primarily on GM cars but were applicable on many others.
That’s good to know!
That bottle cap is awesome you gotta put that pride of place in your man cave .
The cube with the 1979 pennies was cool
Congrats on the new house and shop!
I’m sure mama will be happy with an extra $600.
Don’t feel bad…
I found $1400 in a book on my shelf when I was cleaning. It was from a car sale and I forgot I stashed it. 😂
Bulk pick up nite 15yrs ago found 21. Morgan silver dollars in old wood crate
My dad would stash money in books and then forget about it.
Cool Diggs silas very cool 😎

That is a cool idea what you did to make a bottle cap.
The linhof camera is feom Germany and is valuable. I was just on their website
Now you understand why all people want OBS and no def
Yep, went from a 2019 f250 PS to an 2003 7.3 Excursion. So worth it.
Good job buddy

I really love your videos. Kind of wish I live there and work at your yard. So many cool things. I love junk. The 6 hundred is my favorite.😊

Blue Moon Camera in Portland , OR knows about that Linhof
AAA 😊
Pliers are for pulling spark plug boots
Where did you go in California? I live in Diamond Bar which is next to Pomona...LA County. 😊 Steve
“Rewrite my entire brain”, I may use that one myself. Maybe you found enough dough to repair it
I actually sold it as is
Your brain? :)
That is insane! A used car in 1964 for $2000.00 when you could buy a home for $6000.00 (In certain locales)
Does your truck charge as you drive? It could be your alternator. All your systems will fail one by one, and eventually nothing will work, and you won't be able to start the car either.
Thanks for your nice video, and I wish you lots of fun and happiness in your new home.
Surprised 😂

Pliers Used For C Clip Removal Tool
Somewhere I have some coin’s from the WWII year’s. They are made from steel also, I thought they may be worth something but they weren’t at the time. Did they figure out what was wrong with your old truck?
Strange video, lots of neat treasures when you rummage through that truck. Having found 650$ in was a bonus. Put that money to good use ASAP.
The DEF warning is the gauge float. Just like a sending unit in the fule tank. Super easy to replace. The dealership overcharge is killer on it.
It was a burnt plug. Took 45 minutes and warranty covered it
Dodge ram hood ornament 👍
At 25 minutes you showed a little glass thing I believe that is from a percolator coffee pot
You took the comment right out of my mouth!
pro tip: if you haven't started it in 1+ year, put it in NEUTRAL with the parking brake on. Not sure why, but it seems much easier to turn one over like that.
I turned sixteen in 67 I could buy a car for 15 to a 100 dollars and drive it till I tore it up and buy another one
The way my late Pop's explained to me as well....no more than a $100.00 bought a good car
I had a 99 suburban k1500 that did the same thing your truck is doing i chased the issue thinking it was ignition and security but it ended up being a broken ground!
Looks like a solid truck, I’d fix it up
Interesting video!
i had a car like that where the door flips, totally forgot about it. also the little boat trailer.
Those kinda look like hog ring pliers.
Hi Silas. Enjoy your videos. Can I ask what is going on with your in town. Have you abandoned it?
33:08 looks like a trumpet valve.
It's the pass time box behind cigarette plug I had same problem on three of my chevys
No Ride and you have a junkyard WOW 😂 nice find in the other one very nice ☺️ was fun thanks 👍👍👍👍👍
The key word being “junk” 😆 If we bought it, there’s a reason
It's not junk until you crush it then it's junk.
@@christophertaylor2464 ok I go with you I ment to say all the car's and truck's am not one to drive
Old window and door handle removal pliers
OH NO
Lol your funny!! Good luck on your programming your brain .
Dont feel bad about forgetting money its a good hidden savings account never know when youll need it.
I know one thing. No DEF trucks for me. I drive a 7.3 Ford and it is great.
Get rid of the side connected battery and put top mounts in it!!!😊
The last tool is used wires to pull spark plug wires.
At 35:21 hose plyier and ore grab copper bat wire in cert terminal and squeeze pull hose from base what you cut normally
wow! good thing you did not crush it after it did not start in begining! buy a battery!!
textured globe? i used to have one, lost it in a fire and have thought about replacing it which i have done with some other things.
Fule line release tool works good i bout 1 from cornwell tooles still in use
I can almos bet it was the little bit of old gas is why it wouldn't start
