- Hi Cantonese learners! We'll learn how to say "WHICH" "THIS" & "THAT" in this lesson. Whether you are new to my channel, it's always good to review again and again in our language learning journey.

I am Amanda from Hong Kong. I make easy and practical cantonese learning videos for complete beginners to intermediate level.
My full time job is a flight attendant. I enjoy studying foreign languages. My job allows me to visit many places and meet many people. So that I have more chances to practice what I have learned.
Due to the covid, I haven't fly regularly for over a year. I find UA-cam is extremely helpful for maintaining my language proficiency. One day, out of curiosity, I looked for cantonese learning channels. I was so surprised that there are so little and most of the good one are even from overseas. That's why I started "5 minute cantonese" on 2020.
Great lesson. Had to watch it twice to absorb all the information in here. thanks for teaching us
You are most welcome. You can watch as many times as you want😂
All your teaching very methodical. Congratulations

@5minutecantonese oh thanks a lot🤎
Hi Amanda. I am recommending your videos to my friends in Costa Rica who are trying to learn some Cantonese because there are many people from Guangdong there. All the best
Ngoh jung yi ni hap jyu gu lik!
Very good 👍🏻
2:51 i dont understand why we have to write "yiu3" (to need) when we already wrote "seung2"
why are we saying TWICE that we "TO WANT" + "TO NEED"
im understanding it as if i'm directly saying: "I want need this (ORANGE)"
instead of
"I want this (ORANGE)"
ngo5 seung2 gwo2 go3
ua-cam.com/video/hz1DpjLl5oc/v-deo.html
Please refer to lesson 84 for more details.
Jiu3 also means " to take " like
"I take this"
It's not a must for cantonese to use the word "to want" want asking for something 😁 But it’s a must for us to use the word "jiu3"
@@5minutecantonesethank you so much Amanda for your reply and clarification! will definitely look at that video~ just starting on my cantonese learning and your videos are the best!
Miss Amanda, what measure word for can like can of softdrink, can of corn beef?
罐 gun3 😊
@@5minutecantonese thank you
miss Amanda what about this one: "ni1 go3 hai6 ngo5 baa4 baa1" we can put measure word after hai6 (to be)?
It's correct! You don't need a measure word for that. It's understandable to say ngo5 ge3
But without it sounds better
@@5minutecantonese ok thank you again
