I will make a trip to Moscow end of this year, I will stay there Dicember and January. I am a bit concern about if it is going to be enough to protect me for that frost -25C. It would be a perfect parka if it would have 800Fill DOWN. I would like to buy Himalayan summit series jacket but in M size is not available worldwide online...I guess I would buy this McMurdo jacket and wear more cloth underneath because it is the choice I have available
Also it depends if you’re likely to need something that warm ever again. If it’s a one off trip and you live in london or Paris than later up with this and you’ll also have a jacket for back home. If you go for the ultra big coat now you could end up with a really warm coat that you never wear again. I’m in london so when I went to Moscow I used base layers and an extra fleece with my usual winter coat and a decent hat.
I’m thinking of buying this jacket for use in the UK, is it too insulated for use through spring/ autumn or? U don’t want to buy it and get too hot. If anyone has experience please help, thanks.
I own this jacket in brown, keeps me warm. The only issue I have, the fur trim comes off much too easily. Meaning, I have to be careful not to unsnap the fur, when I put my messenger bag on, across my chest.

Anime Lord, yeah I have one too. Can confirm these directions are accurate. Make sure when drying you use highest heat setting and heavy load options on your dryer for maximum dryness.

Yeah you go warmer the price also goes up. Look at some of the Arcteryx parka's.

This is more like a winter jacket/parka.
