Wowww!! I just bought this jacket on sale at north face today for the upcoming Ohio fall/winter. I had no idea this thing had so many features and pockets. So happy with this purchase. For once, I’m kind of excited for winter lol
All of them are worth every penny, they last forever you just need to maintain the waterproofing. You will never get holes or ripps from my experience with them.
I would say that was a bit steep TBH - paid £120 for mine and I wouldn't have gone much higher than that. Not worth it in my honest opinion. But a lovely jacket, definitely. And I did buy it in Summer, so as last year's model and in the wrong season, they were obviously trying to shift some - I must have got lucky I guess.
I agree,I managed to find this jacket in a TNF outlet for £120,however when I looked online I found a bargain because the jacket was too small for the seller.£60 + £6 shipping was the price i paid with all of the tags etc.
Is it strange that it says its made in China? and i even got it from its own store but no spots that look fake and feels high quality too is it just mass produced from there?
I've just bought this jacket. I would say that to use the cinch cords in the pockets, it's better to pinch the toggles and then pull rather than just to heave on the elastic drawstring because it stresses the drawstring less. The jacket's zip also does up on an unusual side, at least for most menswear; it seems to be on the "ladies' side", if there is such a a thing, i.e. the zipper sits on the right hand side and the insert pin is on the left side of the jacket. Also, my model is probably a newer one and doesn't have a top button on the jacket, it simply has Velcro tabs going all the way up. I have noticed that North Face often change the layout or components on their jackets after a while - presumably to reduce costs and increase profit. I noticed that with my old Apex Bionic Jacket and the newer version (no breast pocket, different Velcro on the wrists, thinner material). Overall, this feels like a really nice jacket and I'm glad I bought it. It will be warm and windproof and versatile whilst being stylish also. However, I bought it at £120 reduced from £190 - I definitely don't think I would have paid much more than what I did for it - it doesn't strike me that it is that nice of a jacket to warrant the full RRP.
@@Randall974It has nothing to do with male or female. It's a US company and most of their jackets for the US have their zips on the opposite side to UK. Not a real difference at all.

Hello quick question. I'm in Canada and the winters get pretty cold here. Will this do the job as well as a bomber like the Gotham? What temperature is this jackets maximum before needing layers?
Hello, It should do the job but this also does depend on how cold you tend to feel personally as it only has a 100 weight fleece in it, but this can be replaced with a thicker one if needed. The Gotham is longer in length than the Triclimate which is a fitted 3 in 1 so better for layering. It's hard to state a maximum or minimum temperature as it does depend on the person, but the key is not to have to start with too many layers and you can add and take away as needed. Ideally start with a good base layer such as: www.simplyhike.co.uk/manufacturers/Icebreaker.aspx, then a warm midlayer such as these www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/Mammut/InnominataFleece-Black.aspx Down (for extra warmth): www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/TheNorthFace/MensNewImbaburaHoodie-MontereyBlue.aspx and then a waterproof/windproof shell such as www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/TheNorthFace/MensSuperhypeJacket-DrummerBlue.aspx www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/Mammut/CraterJacket-BlackInferno.aspx Hope this helps you when making your decision, Thanks, Leanne Simply Hike

Hey Bardhi M, Hyvent is 100% waterproof but it doesn't have a life time guarantee like Gore-Tex. For heavy rain conditions we would recommend Gore-Tex. Shaun, Simply Hike
simplyhike I wouldn't say that old Gore-Tex is lifetime warranty, maybe new Gore-Tex Pro materials.
