I've owned this jacket before and for the price it's a great and I love the design but one thing that annoys me (as well as with other jackets) is the nylon inside the sleeves which will make your arms incredibly clammy if you have a short sleeve t-shirt or base layer on.. The breathability also isn't that great, I believe it's only around 6,500 (g/m2/24hr) where as berghaus' AQ2 is around 8000 (g/m2/24hr) and gore tex performance she'll is 17,000 (g/m2/24hr)

For a not hiker, would you say it would be a good purchase for use going out on chilly night. I really like the design hand the zip cover, however, I am concerned about the minimalism of the fabric would greatly appreciate your take on the matter.

Hey +sdotlondonkid Yeah this jacket works great as a general jacket as well as a hiking jacket. The jacket uses Ripstop material so even though the jacket its light weight its super strong. Hope this helps Shaun @ Simply Hike
