Druids Heath is one of my favourite courses. Really good test of golf skill, especially when they've got the greens running fast. Don't leave yourself a downhill putt and make sure your drives are straight.
Love this series. Doesn’t look like your a million miles away. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
It’s a work In Progress mate but it’s guna be an honest reflection of it 🙌
Playing this course tomorrow, buzzing. Yup James
Really enjoy these round recaps mate. Keeps them coming. It will be really cool to be able to look back in a year and compare.
Same these are the best vids out there
Love this kind of video
You need to go hangout with Leone again, your short game looked proper when you were around him. Keep the vlogs coming, love your stuff GJW
I spent a lot of time with his brother the other day, got some stuff to take to next week
@@JamesWiltshire his bro is such a player but so relaxed he doesn’t even look like knows how good he is, your ball striking is unreal man high level stuff but as we all know short game is the key to success
Playing pretty well James, lets hope you can tidy a few things up. Don't go too far down the swing rabbit hole again, you aren't too far away from having a great game.
Nah man not getting into any rabbit holes just got to get rid of that snapper and get the short game sharp
That course looked tighter than Harry’s sphincter in a force ten snow storm.
Love these videos of competition and your comments. You have so much speed. Commitment to a penetrating fade is a key to your future. Much of your body language is suggesting it would rather being hitting a draw. Short game looks straight forward and simple. It will happen. Cheers
Great course, was a member there some years ago asa kid, it has matured beautifully, keep battling 🤛🏼
Cheers Andrew, tricky little course
Don't forget to leave those comments.....Daahhwn beloeowwww
Cheers
Everyone like that...
Another one under your belt! Love the analysis over the top like some sort of inception shit James on James 😂
Those short par 4’s under 450 you need to pull out the driver and play for birdie. Zen golf play free 🏌🏻♂️
Good on ya James.. Wishing you all the best for these next two days @ Goodwood. Enjoyed your vid.. 👍🏾
Good honest watch.
Great vid James. I'm a member at Druid's it's a tuff course it shows that with a winning score over 2 rounds of just -2 keep plugging away you've got it in the bag and one day your hard work will give you the reward you deserve. ATB buddie 👍
Cheers Paul, yeah it’s a tough track and the greens really do protect it from low numbers! Hopefully when we’re back here in a few months the scores will be closer to par!
Good to see how a proper golfer plays around my home club, you make it look so short playing a driving iron off the tee. The greens aren’t easy at the moment for this time of year, once you’ve stopped the lefts i’m sure you’ll tear it up next time 👍🏼
Way to go J looking good
Lovely to watch . Beautiful swing
Lots of positives.. your getting there dude. You will love goodwood .. lovely place.. great vid dude xx
Stick in mate, you'll get your swing sorted and I've no doubt you will do well on this tour 👍 🏆⛳
Great vid James, superb to be able to watch the tournament rounds 👍
Good stuff as always my man.. I have a case of the left pulls at the moment too. Seems like they always creepy into the game now and then. You’ll get it straightened out. Keep working brother!
Great series this. Looking forward to the videos throughout the season.
It’s all experience man, you have the strike and you have the game, all about getting comfortable and it will fall into place
Golf courses still closed here in Ontario, really liking these videos, best substitute I have for missing golf. Can feel a low round coming soon for you. Good luck!
Completely get were you are coming from in respect of the left miss, I'm tall with big leavers and can pump it a fair distance, but left misses are killer for me also.Snap hooks are hot and fiery 🙃at least a block right lands softly. Working on taking the left side of the course out.
Anyway, keep working mate, tension free, committed, feel the fade big boy 💪
Those draws are hard to control, they may be good off the tee, but when they start turning into a hook then they can be deadly. Fade is much more useful shape for playing golf. If you can get something between straight to a slight fade you will be definitely competitive. Good luck, and thanks for posting these.
Loving the driver swing follow through at the moment mate, styling it out
Thought you played very well considering the left miss. You managed your emotions well! Looking forward to watching your progress.
Love it! As real as it can get!
11:00 dog looking for Flower's ball over there 😆
Well played. It's a hard game with fine margins, you are getting closer. Do you take notes while doing the first round to improve your strategy on the second? Remember the back of the left hand controls the club face so turning it over less through impact will reduce the left miss 👍looking forward to seeing the next one and you on top of the leader board.
Well played! Learning to play under pressure is so hard and seems like you are so close to playing some great golf. Capitalise on those par 5's!
Excellent honest vlog mate, keep going.👍 Next time you are in the midlands you need to visit my club Enville, in my opinion one of the best venues in golf.
2 amazing courses and practice facilities.
Playing with James from your place next week in the practice round
Punch out game is A1. CPG & Leon would be proud.
Just get the ball on the fairway.
Keep at it James, loves these vids.. the more of these you play the more confident you’ll get and you’ll be a serious competitor 💪
Irons off the tee looked generally in good nick jimmy. Putter was decent too. Good luck this week!
The course looked very short but actually really fun those greens were the defense of the course and thats really cool
The courses always look short when James bangs a 4 iron 230 yards!
keep trucking along bro! all about the process!
Very hard to play competitive golf without a practice round. Seems like your first round is becoming your practice round. Sounds like you’re on track to tightening up the bits that need work. Cheering for you mate!
Good man, keep it up. Looking forward to seeing your improvement throughout the season
Enjoying these tour videos mate, keep em coming 👍🏼
These videos are great. My only suggestion would be to have your score to par listed throughout the video like you do in course vlogs.
Love where the channel is at these days - was a big fan in the Gorilla James days and it's come a very long way since!
Keep it going James,It will all come good😎
Great to watch All the way from Aust I am a Cobra man just got a new Speed Rad set
Not a million miles away mate, if you nail the consistency you're laughing.
Deffo keep up this kinda content.
James if you stop making these comp vlogs I'll quit watching youtube videos forever... Fantastic job as always!! Camera man adapted nicely to the new gear 😂
Totally relate to your disruptive left miss... Keep at it James, the low scores will come soon enough
Seems like it’s mostly a mental battle at the minute, get a few good rounds under your belt and build some confidence up then you’ll be flying, keep it up James
James, You can see you are improving, tidy up your short game so you scramble better and get rid of that pull shot and you can see with those 2 things sorted you would score well.
keep grindin', brother!! 💪💪💪
Getting better! THX
enjoyed following you around Druids, yes your problem was short game but just miner things your partners really went flag hunting, good for you to see and learn from them all the best for the rest of season
Cheers for following round! Think we’re back at Druids in a couple months hopefully put on a better show then mate
Hey James check out Golf Sidekick. Your videos are good but can be amazing with the right camera placement and ball tracer. All the best.
Although I'm wayyyy shorter off the tee my misses are exactly the same, if I'm tired I tend to hit super well struck hooks but then I can also leave it way out right. Trying to sync my arms and body up, but might have a lesson aswell to work on clubface control
Can you talk us through the 90 at Crondon Park?
Also Rick Shiels misses left to well left on the 3s. He hits a strong draw. No shame in changing the aim for that. I spent money on lessons developing the draw and it did affect the par 3 shot. There will always need to be an element of adjustment with no perfect solution. Playing the fade will not help I don't believe.
Thanks for the videos.
Lets hope thats the end of lockdown...and you get to play some golf this year. Keep grinding. 👍
Love these videos mate 👍
Enjoying the channel 👍
That utility is mint 👌🏽💰
Nice round James. Keep it going bud : )
You should play Walsall Golf Club down the road.
Would be a really good test for you.
keep going you'll get there
My left miss is when I shift weight to target side early. I can fix it with George Gankas's squat style 👌
All progress lad, keep pounding 👊
Keep it up!
It will just click for you James , stay patient your sharpness will arrive soon man 👍👍👍👍
Make it or not your channel will have mad subs in a few years, it’s proper golf no mid handicap using a new driver crap, this is proper content
Thanks man 🚀
gg man. Onward and upward! GL next week!
Cheers Dave 👊
Ooh the james
Great work! Can’t be easy with limited experience. Game still looks easy. I have always wondered if length is as much an advantage as it is a disadvantage? Ie I can hit my 8 iron 135m to about 145m at a stretch. Your strength would give much further variables I’m assuming?
Got to say that you put yourself into scoring positions quite a few times. It will come and just keep believing in yourself. Good luck at Goodwood
Keep grinding mate 👊 🏌️♂️ 🔥 💯
Great vid
I just joined a short, tight and firm course with small greens. It's a different game altogether.
Yep different ballgame
Keep grinding 💪🏻🔥
Excellent video. Think the driver needs to come out more.
You played great them first 10 holes James. Little tweaks and you will get there. Goodwood is a nice track, played it a few years ago. Keep working!
Cheers Craig, hoping to bring a few better rounds for the UA-cam next week!
@@JamesWiltshire Just sort that left pull shot out... thats 75% of the damage to your rounds. The way you hit that 2 iron utility is unreal!
Nice timing, a little fine tuning needed especially around the green. ,like what I am seeing James.
always good to see the honest recaps mate! Out of curiosity, do you use a course management system like decade or are you looking at using one?
It cominggggggg
It will be here soon
It’s just really that right to lefter...otherwise pretty solid, James. Onwards and upwards!
Quality stuff James sorry you're dealin with the lefts... not a fun miss to have
Yeah left miss you can’t play with!
"scabbin little cuts" 😜👍🏻
Yups. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
James, I enjoy the round recaps. I wonder if you were to widen your stance a bit. It seems to me that you are pretty narrow and using your upper body to muscle through shots. Perhaps a wider stance would help the legs get more involved? Just a thought. Cheers
Hello mate , are you using any of the thought process from Marcus at zen golf , was interesting what he did with you , did u benefit in any way from your visit, keep going and enjoy your golf good luck in the comps .
Gotta love getting 'round with scabby little cuts
How do you feel about the change from your Callsway clubs to Cobra? It is great to seeing you play again good luck!
harry ellis was a +3.5 at my old club imagine that increased when he went to america, goodwood is quite easy you should have a good round there
I think the reason your having that left miss is because your taking it so inside on your take away and trying to turn the hips to hit ut straight but if you turn the hips to fast you miss it right.
You can only get better playing courses that don't fit you and listening to you made it obvious you were thinking the same thing. Looking forward to the next vlog.
In my opinion your swing is absolutely spot on but if you’re missing it by turning it left or leaving it out to the right, I think you need to be very aware of how you’re starting your movement, especially with the long stuff, you tend to sway off the ball, which will make it harder to time it up. I remember you doing some drills to stop the sway last year maybe. I’d get some reps with you head touching a wall to get the feeling of not swaying too much and making a more centered turn. Just my opinion, could help
I think this was a nice vid and analyses ... I'm far from an expert but I'm sports educated (and licensed) it seems bio-mechanically that your release and follow through is cut of somewhat. This would be mostly trust and confidence. But ... you tell me. Thx for the vid. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Zen Golf!!!
bro that left miss is based on your backswing going so far inside then all the issues stem from how you transition. i've the done the same once i understood cause and effect ball flight became consistent
are you allowed to move the bags once the ball is in motion?
Beast
See... go to your 5:40 mark the 7i miss on the par 3. ... that style of swing and a soft tip shaft can produce left misses.
The lateness of the swing, is causing more kick ... ( ...
I'm enjoying watching this journey man, so keep it up and don't take this as hating, it's a genuine question ;
If I'm not mistaken, this is all about you taking your golf more seriously, but then why in almost every video, do I hear you say things like: "I didn't know short left was the miss" or "I didn't get a practice round"
Like, why didn't you know?? If you're gonna take it seriously, take it seriously? Just my 2 cents.
