thanks, nice explanation - I just picked up an old NanoCompressor to play with some gear DAWlessly (tired of compression plug-ins), and out of 20 videos I watched featuring this unit you are the only one to explain the setup and you're also getting a proper compression effect out of it - apparently a lot of people have no idea how these things work : well done, 2 for 2 :-)
I think you are right, I saw a lot of videos with compressors set wrongly so they would have no effect. I’m pleased you found the video useful. I do have a playlist of videos about compression you may also like.
Will do, thanks for some good content 😀 I don’t have any compression vids yet but you might find some of my video demos or jams interesting or fun, possibly informative
@@gwEmbassy just watching this again. really interested in the side chain aspect. Just entering the world of compression. Learnt a lot from this. Very interesting hearing the pads. Just got a alesis 3630 would love to see you discuss/ show wiring in detail. Thanks again. Love the track.
@@gwEmbassy Hello Gwen, Wich parameters do you need to change for having the mmt8 receiving multi voice from the e mu ? Is it on the emu or the mm ? When i change of song on my e mu xtreme lead, my already registred track 1 on the mmt8 also change of song and thats what i dont want ahah let me know thankssss
Hell ya! Using that Orbit propa! Fantastic job!
:) it’s got everything you need!
Thnx for the explanation. I didn't know the Orbit. Seems like a reasonable priced Synth nowadays. :-)
Neo Bechstein it has 70% of all those 90s sounds :)

"I like making these videos".. and I like watching them! Very cool to see your channel being reactivated again :)
Thanks for watching Simon :)
How did you sync the 303 in this setup
There is a little MIDI to Dinsync converter just behind the MMT-8
Cheers Gwen. Very informative. Love it.
Happy you liked it Bluestone :) Now make some beats!
@@gwEmbassy ha ha! I shall try my best. Setting up my synth area as we speak. I just bought a 9090 yesterday. Let’s see what happens.
Good luck :)

Instant sub @ 2:50 :-)
:-D great to have you on board!
The rave synth used on track 7 is mighty sweet. ;)
The added reverb being quite mandatory on it. :D
Thanks Dma! It’s a preset sound :-O
@@gwEmbassy Spot on to the demand back then, eh. Or just the other way around maybe. :D
nice constructions
Cheers man :)
Wait so can the MMT access multiple voices from the emu at the same time?
yes it can
MIDI just never ceases to amaze me. I just got two of these units and they're rapidly disrupting my entire music making workflow! @@gwEmbassy
@@intermodal_0 hopefully in a good way!

the way I had this setup, the MMT-8 was the master. nothing was going back the other way, in the case!
record it, get it pressed. the kids nowadays would dig it!
Thanks for the compliment, maybe I should look into it!!
Yamaha RY30 the best drum machine
