I took the idea to another level. I took a very old trolling motor apart and used the shaft that the motor goes through and the aluminum base that pivots. The old trolling motor is way stronger than the scooter
I made the razer version from the original video some time ago for my HDS Gen 3 9 inch and put a 3 in 1 transducer on the bottom of my trolling motor. What a game changer and keeps you from being bent over to see the graph. Also virtually a bigger screen since it is much closer to your eyes. The bolt he puts in the end greatly reduces the wobble. Luv it almost as much as the bimini top I added for summer relief.
I have 2 of those big scooters and a razor that my kids had when they were little. Thanks for the ideal because I’m in the market for one for my garmin
@@KayakUSA1 great job on this one, by the way. This is a great example of using materials you wouldn’t think of to get the job done! I must’ve thrown away five or six of these scooters myself over the years. Also, I I like the extra editing flare in this one!
I think you could take you a piece and metal drill some holes and put it in between that cross bar. That way it would stiffen up little and you wouldn't have that flex

This is AWESOME! Wish I came across your video before I spent the $$ on a commercial product. I enjoy the DIY builds more!

Nice set up bro. I’m building me one. I got a 912 salvage.
I like it. Converting things on hand is awesome.
I made 2 of these, and they work perfectly. At the lowest setting it is perfect for when I'm sitting, and extended it is waist level.
Awesome!
I have to say, this was an awesome project. Very cool. Well done. 👍 Oh, I would keep the swivel action for screen adjustment.
I appreciate that! 👊🏼
And another one!! Video was awesome. Loved the editing!
Thanks bud!! 🤙🏼
You did a really good job…..👍
Thanks!
Love it !! Great video and great humor!
Nice job on the build! All-thread idea is interesting. I ended up with a bungee on mine to keep it from bouncing.
Thanks man, I appreciate the inspiration! Hope I can help you get some more views on your video as well. 👍🏼
Great idea would have been nice to see the assembly....
Tj this is great option for 5 to 10 bucks!! I would 100% add another kick stand cause that swivel is fire!!
Should put telescoping back being able to adjust what I’m looking for. And I would just remove it for transit.

Did you buy the cup holder that’s attached to your mount or did you build it yourself? If you bought it where did you find it??
I got it here.
