⚠️EASY! DIY - Tall Raised Fish Finder Mount for Livescope! ActiveTarget | MEGA Live | Razor Scooter
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лип 2024
- Starting with a kids foldable razor scooter, lets work through building an awesome DIY raised fish finder mount. The mount easily lays down for towing or installation of a boat cover, which is often overlooked. This will work on a Garmin (93SV, Ultra), Lowrance or Humminbird all the same. I use it for Garmin Livescope, will work for lowrance Active Target or humminbird Mega Live as well.

Has this setup made it on your boat? Let me know what you think!
I just did this today. I like it being up high but it’s a lot to have up front. I’ll try it for a while and see. Thanks for the idea.
I love to make one also, what the mount that you have that went into top of pole.
Has 2 old razors in the garage. Just made one of these today. Mine doesn't have the 4 holes in the base, it only had 1. I had to drill some.
Mounted it today and trying to decide if I should paint it
Great idea!
Ordering my kids scooter right now! Thank you for sharing….
Nice!
That's outta sight. Such a nice job. Thanks
Thank you! 👍
This is brilliant!
Thanks! It works fantastic 🤙
I just did this, cheers for the idea. I did weld a bigger base plate on for more stability and an adjustable rubber foot where the front wheel used to sit. Beats paying $850 (AUD) for a store bought setup
Sounds like a good setup!
Thanks for making this video! Really smart. I’m going to make this for my livescope setup to save my neck.
It’s working out well! So far I don’t have a need for the other section to make it extend. 🤙
👏👏Thank you so much, what an incredible idea 👊🔥
It's working out great! 👍
Awesome project. I just gave that scooter away to a neighbors kid. I’m going to have to buy it back from him. 😀
It's worth it! Good luck on the deal
Very nice..
Nice job
Well I just searched marketplace in my area and bought 2 scooters for $15...lol. Thanks for the amazing idea
Nice!
Thanks for the inspiration, I added another lower notch for sitting and cut the pole down bc I kept bumping it with my reels.
Nice!
Nice
Great idea. I’m not going to cut the wheel mounts off though. I’m going to modify them so they act as a stand when pivoted up. Should give it a little extra support.
That should work!
Talk about happy accidents! This is awesome 👏👏 Guess I’m gonna hop on marketplace lol
It's one of my favorite modifications!
Love the idea there McGyver!! Not I need to find and old scooter!! Can we get and update in how well it works when out fishing?
Thank you!
This would also work for making a livescope transducer pole mount.
Definitely!
Has there been a video made yet for the transducer?
No video on that from me, my transducer is on the trolling motor shaft. 👍
I just duplicated your idea! AWESOME!! thanks
Glad it helped!
I discovered that if you flip the mounting bracket over and have a vertical surface to mount to the pole will sit straight vertically. Just find the right height so that when your fold it down it doesn't hit the deck before it locks in place. On my boat I had to mount it more to the right. Otherwise it hits my bow-mounted seat when the graph is installed. I'm using with a Garmin 73dv. My scooter is currently painted pink as it was my granddaughters.
Sounds solid!
Hey man beats those high dollar Ram mounts and other expensive brands
Thanks!
Yep. I've been using one of the smaller ram mounts and the rubber on the balls are deteriorating. I'm going to make this.
I copied your design and love it. No more sore hip flexors and hamstrings from bending over to see my screen.
Great to hear! It helps a lot!
Nice job old dog learn something new evert day
Just love watching your videos. No B.S. just great fishin. Those are some giant slabs. What state do you guide in?
So I built one for myself, great idea $22.00
Great!
How high does the graph sit
How is this holding up over the past months? I watched some other videos since you put this in service to see if it gets in your way or not. What are your thoughts after some use? I think it's a brilliant reuse of a razor. Nice work!
It's been holding up great for me! The height is really nice after a long day and pivoting down to stow makes it easy to use a boat cover.
Mind you I primarily fish an electric-only lake, so it's not getting beat on running on plane.
@@goodmanfishing I fish some pretty big water with a glass boat, probably a good idea to bolt through to a backing plate.
I really appreciate your video. I love hot rodding items to make them cool and serviceable. Tight lines! 🎣
Anyone got a link to the scotty part the one I found was 30 dollars
Nice!
Great idea, do you know what Scotty mount you used ?
Yes sir, there's a link to it down in the description 👍
I like the idea of being able to turn it maybe? Just keep it snug so it won’t spin freely
That's how mine is setup now. It rotates with my input, not by itself 👍
What kind of mount will I need so it will fit pole. Mount on bottom of 93 sv garmin
Hi David it's linked in the video description. It's a Scotty mount 👍
@Goodman_fishing
Is this still working for you?
I like the idea…
What about where it mounts to the boat? Any concerns?
What is the yellow hot rod under wraps?😮
This is working out great!
My boat isn’t a high speed glass boat, so it doesn’t see some of the shock loading other boats will see. That said, it will be pretty durable once screwed down/anchored well.
Hot rod is a 1972 Plymouth Cuda 👍

Thanks for the reply
I might try this mod. Looks like it will work.
True American Mopar muscle.
One of the best along side a 1970 LS6 Chevelle SS
Pretty ingenious use of a kid's toy! Trouble is, I gave our kids' Razors away to the neighbors, once they outgrew them! Are you still using this setup, and how is it working for you?
Thanks! Still using it, it's been working great 👍
@@goodmanfishing awesome! Might be time to surf FB marketplace for one...don't think the neighbor kids are giving em back😁
I'll bet hose bagpipes are just as annoying as the background music playing while your talking.
Plz man , ya spend thousands on sonar and skimp on the mount to use it ?? 😅
I mean, my boat cost less than my livescope. So yea! 🤷♂️🤣
Troll much..... just because you spend money on equipment does not mean you have spend good money on over priced under engineered crap that are sub par to mount your electronics. I thought this was a great idea I plan on making one for my 126SV unit.
Way too much for something so simple
