The purpose of this video is not to degrade or belittle the graphics in Sonic Forces, but merely show off what they could be. It goes without saying that these types of shaders probably aren't best-suited for a Sonic title though as Sonic tends to lean towards a much more cartoony artstyle. I thought it would be neat to see what Sonic Forces would look like if it were on the graphics level of more modern AAA titles.

This is amazing but I have a suggestion if it’s ok could you possible make the physics better. It might be hard so you don’t have to

The ReShade makes it look alot more like how the trailers portrayed it than how it actual plays out.

Making a beautiful-looking game even more beautiful with ReShade, that isn't over-the-top unlike other ReShaded games that claim the "remastered" look.
Although, slight criticism, it looks like the hue is a bit off when ReShaded.

Green Hill looks really off especially.
Making the hues exaggerated was my intention, I wanted the graphics to look both modern and out-of-place for a Sonic game.
Hedgehog Engine 3 is looking great!
You made Green Hill look like a Unreal Engine 4 fangame that has no idea what it wants its style to be except 'realistic'.

I thought that too. It just washed out the colours.
I often dislike reshades, but this one is quite beautiful. it really adds much to the game, it somehow looks more lively.

i think is looks a bit off like this, yeah I mean is beautyfool and all you want but it just hasn't that sonic vibe
I mean, yeah, maybe, though Sonic games have had a bit of shading differences over the years. That combined with Hedgehog Engine 2 being introduced last year, they could have made it look this good.

ok, obviously I didn't think of that... because maybe we've gotten so far in technology that the new shading shown off in this video could still work on consoles. they had a brand new engine, yet they barely did anything amazing with it to show what it could do.
This thing almost made the city look more accurate to the cgi trailers.
How it's easy to make Sonic forces better.. Including physics(another mod) and shading of Slw design.

I like the added dryness to Green Hill's color. And stages like Casino Forest, which were already breathtaking look even better.

Can you make a tutorial of how to use the reshade in Sonic Forces?

How to install? I ran the reshade exe to the game’s exe and it shows that reshade is there on the top of the screen when I load the game, but in game I see no changes.

I like how it effects Ghost Town, but not Green Hill.
The shading in Green Hill to me all though exaggerated, seems interesting as Green Hill is completely under sand. Gives it that sort of "hot desert" feeling.

I have a problem with Reshade it uses a dll with same name that HedgeModManager does so I can't have mods and reshade at the same time! Any fix for this? Renaming won't help.
How do you even get Reshasde to work w/o mods? I boot it with HHM uninstalled and it shows it in the top left, but none of the effects ever appear. And I don't have an .ini file in my exec folder, for some reason
i think at this point, some games should have reshade effects built in...

tj Blackstock you can't sadly, if I am not mistaken PS4 game files are different than PC game files which it makes modding more difficult and it's impossible anyway

reshade wont load on my Sonic Forces... I have hedgehog manager uninstalled and everything... and I don't have a dxgi.ini file, for some reason?
