Calling someone “yellow” or “yellow belly” means they’re cowardly or won’t fight or stand up for themselves. Or it’s like saying they’re “soft”.
Sometimes I wonder if a reactor just pretends to like a song, but when a tear falls, you know its real..lol.
Yes, often they do pretend. But this wonderful couple is the true, real deal. I love this channel.
Yep I love the late Kenny Rogers ❤❤❤RIP
Yellow is a term for coward.
I still get chills when Tommy stops to lock the door.
Pick your battles carefully ❤. RIP Kenny
I went to a Kenny Rogers concert in Winnipeg in the early 80’s and the opening act was the Righteous Brothers. What a concert that was!
I find it incredible that you two are able to express yourself, when hearing all these songs in a second language. Love your reactions!
Thank you 😊
Beautiful song, greetings from Chile.
Please don't apologise for analysing the lyrics and pausing - if we want to hear the song without interruption we listen to the song. Reactions are watched for the reaction and discussion. Keep doing what you're doing, it's beautiful.
Never apologize
. It’s YOUR channel. It’s why we subscribed
❤ Oh my, I just absolutely adore you both. You touch my heart always... ❤
Thank you 😊
Kenny is a natural treasure 🤘🤘
Islands in the stream with Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton is definitely a must listen.
We did react to this song already. Please search in our videos 🙂
@@MerchantOfAlba I found it... Thanks.
Being called yellow is the same as being called a coward.
Many Kenny Rogers story songs. “Ruby,Don’t Take Your Love To Town”, “Lucille”, “ The Gambler” and many other good songs through out his long career. Thanks for the reaction. I enjoyed as always.
I would add "She Believes In Me".
also Scarlet Fever, Daytime Friends, Love Or Something Like It, Reuben James, Ghost of Another Man
Please, don't apologize for analyzing the lyrics. 😊 That is the best part of many songs, including this one! Other great story songs by Kenny Rogers include "Lucille," "Long Arm Of The Law," and "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town."
Listen to Kennny's "Lucille" .... such an awesome song with an equally great story❤
Love your this reaction and thanks, as I heard this beautiful song after soo long. Love from India ❤❤
Much love from Romania 💚
Yellow = weak, afraid, cowardly
Red = angry, passionate
Green = envious
Blue = sad, morose
Purple = royalty, fancy
White = pure
Black = evil
Orange = hell if I know...
Paisley = Brad
Orange= great leader and businessman but narcissistic
@@sonofjay817😂
@@sonofjay817 Orange 2024! lol
You have no need to apologize, you two. We watch to see others experience songs we love for the first time. Analyzing it is part of that experience and you both do a great job!! If you like story telling, I'd recommend:
Photo Finish - Chris LeDoux, Rapid City South Dakota - Dwight Yoakam, Decoration Day - Drive By Truckers, and Thunderstorms and Neon Signs - Wayne "the Train" Handcock.
Thank you 👍
This song goes with the movie of the same name. Kenny acted in the movie playing Tommy’s uncle. And you get to see what happed after Tommy laid those boys out. It’s a happy ending.
Great reaction. I haven't heard that song in years. I forgot how good it was.
I get teary-eyed every time I hear this song!
"The Gambler", Ruby" and "Lucille" by Kenny Rogers are also great story telling songs which are well worth a listen.
And y’all have got to do “Lady” live!!❤️🤘🏻
Kenny is awesome !! For some more storytelling try Johnny Cash , A Boy Named Sue , you two are great as always and thank you for the reaction !!
Again, another great reaction! 👍 👏🎉 We LOVE your thoughts and reactions! ❤
YOU NEED TO WATCH THE MOVIE TITLED EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE SONG AND KENNY ALSO PLAYS THE UNCLE IN THE MOVIE
You definitely need to react to the Kenny Rogers song, Lady, lovely song. Yellow is another word for coward.
Kenny Rogers is one of those artists that reaches everyone, I think. Even if you're not a fan of country (I'm not), there's something about his voice and his storytelling that gets you in, he makes me forget that I don't like it, lol. ✌❤
A great singer, great voice. Kenny started with The First Edition which became Kenny Rogers and The First Edition. Then he went solo and country. ☮💜🎶
Actually , he was with the New Christy Minstrels before 1st Edition.
Now we need the gambler.
Pls watch kenny...singing "lady" live...he is in a white suit......i just found u all....i like u all ..ur genuine
Thank you 😊
I was never really into country music…but I always loved Kenny Roger’s music
They even turned this song into a movie because the story was so good.
Yes, we hear. No wonder, it's got a great story 👍
Ruby ( Don't take your love to town) is a good one by Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, it's a little before he went country, great reaction.
Rueben James is also a good song.
YELLA IS THE WORD I WAS BORN IN THE MIDWEST I STILL TALK THE SAME WAY LOL AWWWW THE TEAR SAYS IT ALL IK IT CUZ I CRIED TOO
Dominika was exactly right, she spotted the way the meaning changed for the first and last line of the song. "Everyone considered him the coward of the county".
The first time it was sung, it just let you know that people didn't think he would stand up for himself, and that he wouldn't fight back.
The second time it was sung, it let you know that nobody thought that way about Tommy anymore, that they now knew that Tommy could be pushed to the point of violence, but that it took serious provocation.
What the Gatlin boys did to Becky, they did in private, where nobody could see, but when Tommy confronted them, he confronted all of them at once in a public place, and at least once, said why he was confronting them. Tommy was ready to have his defeat seen, so long as he was seen getting justice for what had been done to Becky.
If you have not reacted to the Gambler, please do, you will love it so much, its a great kenny Rogers song!
Kenny Rogers and the 1st. Addition in the 60’s . Try the song Just Dropped In to See What Conditions please. A totally different Kenny.
Love Kenny Rogers music from when he was with the First Edition (60's-70's) to his solo career. He was a great story teller in many of his songs like "Coward Of The County" & "The Gambler". He had so many hits "Lucille", "Through the Years", "She Believes In Me", "You & I" (written by the Bee Gees) etc. He did a lot of duets such as with Kim Carnes "Don't Fall In Love With A Dreamer", with Sheena Easton "We've Got Tonight" & with Dolly Parton "Islands In The Stream". He also did quite a few duets with Dottie West.
Thank you for the suggestions. Have a great day 😊
IS MUCH EASIER TO HANDLE EVIL WHEN IT COMES AT YOU, IT'S TOTALLY DIFFERENT STORY WHEN IT COMES AT SOMEONE YOU LOVE
I'm loving your reactions and comments to Kenny Rogers song(Coward of the County)😢❤❤
I very much enjoyed both of your reactions but especially Dominicki (please forgive me if I misspelled your name. Yt won't let you copy words. I just wanted to say your analysis was insightful and well said. This song so powerfully conveys a profound message about what a real man is. Story telling is a lost art and Kenny was one of the best.
First time I've watched one of your videos and I've already subscribed to hear more of your insights and wisdom. I just have to ask Dominicki if you read a lot? I'm into lyrics too and I read a lot as a child and young adult. (Had to quit cause I could never put a good book down in order to get enough sleep in order to get to work on time. 😂 )
Yes after Tommy beat the Gatlin Boys because of what they did to the woman he loves!! That's all he could take and No one will call him a coward any more!❤❤
Blue is for BOYS, Pink is for Girls. Yellow is for... let`s say non-defined
Kenny Rogers started in a rock group First Edition
New Christy Minstrels before 1st Edition.
Yellow is a slang term used to call someone a coward.
Excellent song and reaction, as always! Thank you!
Yes, yellow means weak or cowardly
Please react to Dont cry joni
Every Kenny song from his time with the First Edition to his death is fabulous! Ruby, The Gambler, Lady, Islands in the Stream... Yellow means coward, unwilling to fight and defend yourself, others, or possibly your nation state. His father says IF he can he should walk away from a fight, meaning there are some fights you can't and shouldn't avoid. His daddy would be proud and so would Becky. It was a TV movie by the way based off the song.
This whas awsome I cryed my eyes out.
Yes Yellow or sometimes Yellowbelly are terms meaning coward.
Kenny Rogers, the greatest storyteller to ever live!!
Do. Lady by Kenny Rogers
I love that y’all investigate songs before you listen!❤️🤘🏻
This is one of my favourite Kenny Rogers songs. The lyrics are tremendous. Kenny was an incredible storyteller, may he rest in peace. His ability to evoke emotion through his lyrics was profound. Great reaction guys. I knew this one would have Andrei sobbing! Much love guys.
we would play this record over and over when my brothers and i were young, til mom would holler..."Boys...PLEASE play something else!"
lol!
I love your reaction, I love your channel! Period! ❤ 💯
Thank you so much 🤗
❤❤YOU DECORATED MY LIFE❤❤ another beautiful song by Kenny. 😊
Yellow - Chicken, Scared, etc.

You got it!!a story about father and son and their promises that was broken because you got to fight for your love ones indeed...please do react ti THE CARPENTERS....I NEED TO BE IN LOVE by Karen Carpenter..please!!!!!!!from Philippines
He was one of the best, try another story teller, Kris Kristofferson, with Sunday Morning Coming Down
Yellow means coward. I think it’s distinctly American.
WOW!! One of my favorites!! ❤❤❤❤
In america..yellow means your a coward...from our civil war if you turned and ran they put you in prison with a shirt with a yellow sripe down the back that meant you ran in battle...63 year old former marine from south carolina
High from west coast of canada british columbia.... I.
Think you 2 are so absolutely sweet. You don't even speak the language and you're trying to figure it out. And guess what? You guys come so close. You're right on actually you guys. I think are beautiful. Thank you, and God bless.😊❤️🕊🙏🕊
Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town...another great story song with a message!!
I've listened to this son a million times (only a slight exaggeration) and I never thought that Tommy had to fight because it was for someone else and not himself. I thought he's just doing the right thing, but I really like your perspective on that. Thank you!
❤ if you like storytelling like I do ❤ please 🙏 check out Daddy’s Girl or Teddy Bear… etc.
by Red Sovine please 🙏
Kenny Rogers has not always been country. He started out in psychedelic rock with the band The first edition and you really would like the song Just dropped in. Check it out thank you guys are awesome. Love your channel..🫶🏻🌹👍🏻
They did turn this song in to a made for TV movie in the early 80s the song came out in 1979.
To call someone yellow is calling them a coward. There is also a movie made from this song, also called Coward of the County. Kenny Roger's is in it he plays Tommy's uncle.
I think the 'Gatlin Brothers' got anyway quite likely after what they've done.
You're right Dominica, Dave Clark was a real 😊
Great reaction great song. This what happens when you hear great songs for the 1st time. We all felt this way hearing back in the 70's
Listen to Lady from Kenny Rogers. I wish I got to see him live. Keep up the great reactions
If you want to laugh your ass off, find the video of Norm Macdonald and Adam Carolla analyzing Kenny rogers songs.
I hope you get to experience some modern country on your reaction channel. More Chris Stapleton and kameron Marlow. Zach bryon and yes the story telling and song writing in good country is why I love it
You've got a good man there, with a big heart...
I know 💚
The funny thing about country music is that if you give it a chance with an open mind it can get to you, make you feel pretty darn deep. I think it matters a bit how it's delivered and you do have to admit any genre can have really bad deliveries sometimes.
Yellow and coward are the same thing.❤️🤘🏻
Loved Kenny ❤❤
Please try another story telling song by Kenny Rogers “the gambler “
Max respect bud! It's a great song!
Sometimes we have to/need to, stand up, for the ones we love.
This was a great reaction from both of you! Keep up the great content!
Not anymore, especially the Gatlins.
Yellow means coward
To call someone Yellow means they're a coward.
Based on the song they made a tv-movie in 1981 - "Coward of the County" (aka "Kenny Rogers: Coward of the County") with Kenny Roges as Uncle Matthew - also a preacher.
None of the other actors are well known - who recalls Largo Woodruff (she plays Becky) ?
cuando sientes una cancion es esto que hermoso son las emociones minuto 9:05 ojo derecho 🥺😢
You turn off at a crucial part of the story..not good guys
The world might not see it but thats what we are in cou try
