Amen to that and this might be the start to keeping so very many of Our People Out of the Jails, Prisons and Even Their GRAVES all too early in their lives!
I want to congratulate you both on your success. I started mine with a cow and calf. People who have never done this can’t understand how hard and even very difficult and even heartbreaking it can be, but it is also very rewarding. May God bless you both.
yes I am a African American black female farmer you might as well say that we did end up with 40 acres and a mule. now we were one of the black Farmers that did get paid if you want to hear any more the story gets with me or you can find out the story on UA-cam I did do a little documentary on it. Thank you
@@keithmartin7831 are you blind. You can clearly see they are african American... Just say that you don't want to acknowledge race. Which is your right.
Faithwalkerscharities I'm sorry you missed the point. I'm black. I don't see color here I see people like myself. I don't understand why you lighter skinned people make a big deal out of black people farming. I'm a 7th generation black farmer. Yes my ancestors were free during civil war. Long family story so I've been told. Sounds good but it's as good as any other I reckon.
Faithwalkerscharities and I'm am in No way African American I'm just an American like everybody else. When I start hearing everyone else recite their land of origin then I'll think about reciting mine. What are you. Besides Lilly white and a do gooder.
@@keithmartin7831 When something is a rarity or involved trauma and conflict i understand why someone would say im proud to see an AA farmer. It's a prideful thing that is understandable to me... Its being proud of seeing something outside of the stereotype...But i digress, have a good day.
they saying the same thing about me I'm 36 and I'm looking for land so I can do the same thing keep up the good work I love it cant wait to get out there build a couple of coops raise meat and egg birds veggies fruit trees herbs flowers I love the country its so hard to find reasonable land I live in Maryland and I'm hearing a lot of don't move there or don't move over there so I don't know where to look I don't want to buy land some where my children cant enjoy and be comfortable because of racial issues yes I do know its every where but I just want to live in peace on my land I currently have 5 baby chicks wish it was more like 500 but that's all I can have where I live
If your still looking for land for a reasonable prices look into upstate NY. Good land with decent soils. And land values are only gonna rise and that are is one of the most in demand. Only thing is you gotta be ready for those winters. That's why there's so much available land.
I'm from the south. I'm the 9 th generation of my family gonna be buried in this county. I'm a proud southerner but I Don't see Color. I feel what's emanating from a person. After the civil war, the majority of black people became sharecroppers! As the cities grew the youngsters began to leave the farm and move to the cities. For decades the black community thrived. Because of segregation black people had to start their own businesses, their own grocery stores, their own banks. There were alot of wealthy black business owners. When daddy government stepped in and began to rip the nuclear family apart is when blacks began to slip into poverty.
Exactly, that’s literally 2 continents put together, also african american was created in the 1980s, we were never called africans, because we aren’t african, we’re moors, we’re Israelites
