- This tourist did not read or take the warning sign seriously (THE HORSE MAY KICK OR BITE) so something shocking happened! As she went up to touch the horse, it suddenly bit her and did not let her arm go! It was stuck for quite a while! Luckily nothing serious happened and no one got hurt. Enjoy the Video!

Yes, the horse it bored. He’s doing what’s called weaving. Moving from one let to the other. It’s a sign of boredom and if it’s not nipped in the bug now it’s a very difficult habit to break.

On my scorecard that was 100 Points to Arnie, Horses now lead Guards by a whopping 1000 Points, so come on Guards you need 5 Rein Grab Shouts and 2 Horse charges to catch up. Serves her right she would not stop pestering the Horse even when it was clearly showing her it was angry, and eventually just grabbed her arm if he really wanted that jacket would be in shreds and her arm possibly broken at the elbow so she got of lucky.

When people travel it is up to them to find out the rules of the country .Check with their tour guide ,or tourist information office .It is not possible to cover every language in a sign ,plus people don't read them any way The host country can not be responsible for everything that people do
Something I have said quite often, if your wanting to go to a place read up about it, today with the interweb available it is super easy to read about anything. Read the rules read things to do and see it isn't hard. Sadly we do see some tour guides say nothing or as we saw the other day just know nothing at all and break the rules themselves, so do it yourself and be prepared and that way you will enjoy a wonderful day at Horse Guards.

@@roseyannette2030 Lol Rosey, you and me both lovey, at 65 technology goes right over my head. Was so much simpler BEFORE it was invented and mobile phones. We used phone boxes or wrote letters to people, an alien concept to the stupid Millenials and Gen Z self entitled wokes. We got on just fine without all this. If you wanted to know something you went to the library and borrowed a book on the subject. Leaned languages at school so you could have a conversation with the people who lived wherever you were visiting like France and Spain. Wrye did'nt have game consoles, we went out in the fresh air and made our own entertainment, riding bikes, climbing trees, playing in woodlands, swimming in the river. We could visit places like Horseguards when the visitors were'nt idiotic plankton like they are today. People behaved and kept their distance from the horses and guards as they were told before going that they were military and working for the Queen as she was on the throne when we were youngsters in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Unlike these moron's we knew how to behave in public and not annoy others. We respected the police when asked to stand behind the 2 white line, and not to walk through the horse box, seen many do that as they are too lazy to walk few yards to the side gate. We were taught to do as we were told and not answer back. We respected our parents and adult family members, people of authority and our armed forces, Army, Navy and Air Force, our Royal Family. Sad that respect and good manners have gone out of the window to suit this arrogant lot we have to put up with now. Back then you got your ears boxed and the strap if you disobeyed your elders, now none of these arrogant losers have any respect for anyone. I have seen how different nationalities treat our guards and horses, they should all be kicked out of the UK until they learn some manners. Despicable turds the lot of them.

You can tell by the way the horse is chewing and pacing, that he’s anxious and nervous.
To tell you the truth it’s because the reins are hurting his mouth (he keeps chewing and pulling), he’s bored as sin, and he’s surrounded by people that make him anxious.

The woman harrassed the horse. Like os many other ignorant, selfish people she continued to seek to touch the horse when it had already 'told' her by its reaction that it didn't want to be petted and stroked at that time. But, no, she was going to do her thing regardless. I have no doubt at all that if a man was wanting to touch her and repeatedly harrassing her, despite her signalling clearly she didn't want to be touched, she would be shrieking about how she had been assaulted.
Even if you can't read the sign, use common sense.

You can tell the horse is so fed up with people.
The horse did NOT actually bite her. She got a good PINCH, at best, if he had bitten her, she would have been screaming bloody murder. Horses can bite hard enough to remove chunks, if they want to. They CAN do some damage with those teeth, if they choose to. Horses are social animals, they have a hierarchy, a pecking order, with their counterparts. They all have individual personalities, and are very smart. They don't understand language, but they sure as hell can read body posture of other animals including people. Sometimes it's almost like they know what you are thinking.
Watch closely, see the older woman SPEAK to, and acknowledge the Guard AND she spoke to the horse BEFORE she touched him and continued to converse to him the whole time she touched him. She talked to him, let him know that she knew he was special. She stopped when he let her know to stop. Watch his ears and posture.
The gal who got the big bite, talked to the guard but didn't really talk to the horse. I've watched this horse, it does not bite when it's spoken to, when people ask permission, rather than dismiss the horse's right to his space, he is usually good natured. He tends to bite when he is not spoken to, and people use no finesse when they approach. They just assume the "lowly beast" doesn't count other than being a "pretty horsey." The horse does not like it when people just bounce up to him and assume it's okay to invade his space and touch him!
People never give animals enough credit for how intelligent they really are. Studies are finally giving animals their due for how bright they are and for how much they understand us.

@@lhl9010 It may have turned red, then bruised a bit, but it was still only a good pinch. I've seen much worse from a true horse BITE, they bleed and there are times when some flesh is missing. The worst that will happen with this bite is a bit of swelling and some bruised area, no big deal. It was a PINCH, a big pinch, but still just a pinch.

The horse grabbed ahold of her, that was it. She would have been much louder than that whimper if the horse had bitten her hard enough to cause internal damage. I have been bitten and kicked, I know what it looks like and how it feels for both and I didn't whimper, trust me!
