- In this video we get to witness this stupid tourist who went up to get a picture with the horse and took no regard to the sign which says horses may kick or bite. Biting is natural for horses and when the horse tried to bit her arm, she slapped him back! This is extremely disrespectful! Watch till the end and see what happens! Enjoy!

The crowd should not be able to touch the horses at all should be all behind a barrier
They should get barriers again and charge people for doing that to a horse.
What is needed is proper crowed control. And why wasn’t that lady arrested? Surly cruelty to animals is an offence in England? Mind you the horse payed her back, I noted she made a hasty retreat.

There should be boundaries marked out on the Floor so Tourists know where they can or can't step to get their precious photo. I also think that the signs on the Wall should say " DO NOT TOUCH THE HORSES, they are working . Short and simple.!

Unfortunately there's a jurisdictional issue. The Ministry of Defence don't own the pavement outside of Horseguards so they can't make any changes to the pavement without the local council agreeing. The local council are far more keen on the tourist revenue than orderly conduct and the Troopers being able to work efficiently.

That being said the MOD could ban all physical contact with both horses and Troopers. They can't stop them from being on the pavement but they could ban any touching. I think this would be the right thing to do. There would be a clear and consistent boundary with no grey areas. As I said in another comment they're not show ponies. They're warhorses from a long line of warhorse stock. Their ancestors carried Knights in jousting and trampled infantrymen in cavalry charges. They're not always going to be friendly because they weren't bred to be petted.

@@carolynbodnar2334 Yes poor horses being abused by ignorant people and I mean the entire royal guard and everyone who puts them into severe metal bits and chains, yanks on their reins, kicks their ribs with metal, puts metal shoes on them and then have the ridden on concrete. If people cared they would try and put a stop to this cruel and painful activity for these wonderful animals.

I just watched it again, and she did slap the horse's face when he nipped at her. If you turn the videos play speed down to 0.25, you'll clearly see that she slapped the horse on the nose @ 13:52.

There’s clear signs posted about the risk of the horses biting or kicking-shouldn’t get all up in arms because the horse did what comes naturally to them. People have no respect for personally boundary’s/space and then get mad when things happen

Kind of hard to tell, but I don’t think the lady really made contact because I didn’t see the horse react as if he had been struck. Of course everyone was and had been giving the horse his space until she showed up. 🇺🇸
I'm sorry hun but the horse did react to the slap. He kinda shook it off since the muzzle area(nose,mouth,ears, is very sensitive to pain.13:51-13:53 and yes he did try to bite her,but remember she abruptly approached him into his space.

Das Problem wird darin liege, dass die meisten Reiseleiter selbst keine Ahnung haben um was es hier eigentlich geht. Mit Den meisten Schulklassen, dass gleiche Dilemma, da scheinen die Lehrer auch nicht in der Lage zu sein, ihre Schüler vor dem Besuch dieser Stätte aufzuklären , was sie sich da ansehen und um was es geht, geschweige denn ihnen zu sagen, wie sie sich zu benehmen haben.

Wenn sie das Pferd berührt, muß sie auch mit einer Reaktion des Tieres rechnen, es gibt ihr nichtssagenden Recht , dem Pferd auf die Nase zu schlagen. Ich glaube, sie hat bemerkt, dass sie sich falsch verhalten hat. Sie war erstaunlich schnell in der Menge verschwunden. Das nächste mal sollte sie sich ein Plüschtier zum streicheln aussuchen. Lebende Tiere bewegen sich nun mal und zeigen auch Reaktionen. Da war wieder mal jemand ohne Gehirn unterwegs.

I have read previously that there are no barriers in front of the horses for safety reasons. If a horse gets spooked and agitated, it could easily get hurt if barriers of any kind were placed in their way. So I guess no barriers make the most sense when you hear the reasons.
