    zero pressure across the dpf and low pressure egr carboned up with soot that shouldn't make it past the dpf tells me the dpf is cracked internally and would need replacing or you will end up with is egr flow efficacy again p049b that my experience of these vehicles

    My diesel has 230,000 miles on it and has never needed a clean. However I do motorway miles or long cross country trips which is what diesels are designed for, not for short trips to the shops and back where the dpf doesn’t even reach operating temps, never mind do a regen.

    Hi, have seen some of your movies where you use Launch DPF cleaner to clean up DPF, Turbo, egr and intake with great success. I am surprised at how effective the Launch DPF cleaner works.
    What I'm wondering about that could be something to check out is; How will Launch DPF cleaner work on a oil burning petrol car with oil rings on pistons that are clogged with soot? Then consider if Launch DPF cleaner mixed with water is sprayed into the intake while the engine is running

    Thanks for the video, very detailed! Maybe you can give me a hint on my case of a LR Disco Sport 2.0 ingenium. Had a full timing set replaced, new turbo, 2 new exhaust temperature sensors (had an engine light from them), all fluids including adblue etc. Runes like a dream but randomly goes into limp mode without any lights but the red triangle. Only showes p0299-84 underboost issue. Checked everything twice, used the smoke generator, all pipes, hoes, connectors and can't figure it out. Any ideas where should I look? Feeling pretty desperate after throwing about 4000€ into service.

    Gday from Australia. I have a 2016 Evoque 2.0 Ingenium diesel. I'm having a recurring P049B-00 fault which has been showing up progressively more regularly. Regens fine. Runs great. Runs 10hpa or lower on particle filter differential pressure after regen. Would I need a new EGR filter? Or would just a clean do the trick?

    I’m in the US with these exact codes and Land Rover does not know how to clean these systems their only solution is to replace the particulate filter for 6,000. Everyone is saying they replace filters and codes just keep popping up. Cannot find anyone to do this to my Land Rover discovery instead landrover is telling me to get rid of it. Other mechanics do not hurantee they can Gia these codes and say they replace almost everything

    • @HBCBMovies
      @HBCBMovies Рік тому

      Exactly but more so with certain JLR vehicles.
      Most annoying about that JLR have loads of comebacks because of that exact issue so much so that JLR produced an internal technical guide for SALES staff explaining the issue of oil dilution due to failed DPF regens and then excessive oil changes required and the need to the run the vehicle for 20 minutes over 40mph (although 40 minutes is more like it) for regens to happen or they risk oil dilution and DPF blockage. All because of non close coupled designed exhaust emmision system in certain models (Epace, Discovery Sport and Evoque all with Ingenium engines, other models less of an issue).
      It was basically a guide to steer customers away from buying diesels who would be mainly doing short journey. Do you think the sales people did that though? £££££🤩
      There's a class action law suit in the US over it although mainly due to the excessive oil changes needed.
      I don't want to put links on here but just search for 'D8 oil dilution explained'
