when this game was played spurs had not won at anfield since just before the titanic sank in april 1912. two months after this game spurs went to anfield and won in the league - the sunken titanic was found a few months later in september 85...eerie or what...
What great game ! Excellent players, the snow, the magic atmosphere of the Cup, incredible supporters...: all fantastic for me ! Thanks from Italy( i'm an old Liverpool fan and remember very well the dominant Liverpool from mid 70's at mid 80's) for all your videos!!!
Kop look amazing to be honest I remember watching this as a kid one Sunday, live on tv poor weather put the crowd down plus stopped a lot of spurs coming up I would say, still good effort from spurs support, great atmosphere so many hats on the pop looks great
beautiful match i don't remember this match liverpool and tottenham have still not met in the fa cup final yet have they?strangely, they've already met each other in the european cup final(2-0?)it said on tv that tottenham hadn't won at anfield since 1912 or so and that was about 1982 ish.they won 1-0 there, two or three times in the eighties!
@@Homebous76 I remember that 1-0 win.i think that they beat Liverpool 1-0 down at Tottenham, after having lost 1-4 at anfield in 1985-6 and 1-2 at home, live on TV.superb outfit in 1986-7!Nico claesen!Clive Allen!what a team!let it slip!should have won the league title.everton came from nowhere with a team which was seemingly different than their brilliant 1984-5 team, different than the superb 1985-6 team and nothing like the fantastic 1977,8 and 9 Everton teams.tottenham!so many missed opportunities!
@@motormouthalmighty yeah, Liverpool beat Spurs 4 times in 85-86 (after having been beaten 3 times by Spurs in 84-85) Two in the league and both games in the Super Cup. Then in 87 season Spurs won both league games. It's a funny old game
Remember pelting Ron Atkinson who was commentating when he came out, he got absolutely hammered ,he slipped as he ran to his car as well, it was hilarious 😂 even the bizzies were laughing 😃
lt was clear however that we were missing souness badly in the middle of the park in this season...lronic too that spurs beat us in the Milk cup, and then we beat them in the FA cup. Hooligism however was by this time raising its ugly head again in british football.....it makes me wonder that would liverpool had beaten Juventus in the european cup final, had UEFA picked the bernebeau stadium or nou camp stadium in spain?...lnstead of that shit hole heysel in brussels
It was horrible. I was there stood with one of mates who is black on the Kop. Poorly educated, chronically insecure men who manifest hate. I used to cringe as a Liverpool lad and fan. Garth got his own back later in the year!!!

I just found this on a knackered old V2000 cassette. Better quality here so thanks for uploading!
Proper football. A bit of snow wouldn’t stop the game. Nowadays there would be a 3 week postponement!!
distantvoices probably the only one!!

After this game Spurs won 1-0 at Anfield in the league and then a few months later in 86-87, won 1-0 again!

@distantvoices I watched it at white hart lane on a big screen was fucking brilliant 😁😁😁👍
Not as good as McDermotts goal at WHL in 1980
keep dreaming soft lad lol
Shame about the racists chants directed at Garth Crooks
