+Lee Hutchinson I was there as a Liverpool season ticket holder, and obviously thought this was wonderful. I'll also pay tribute to Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest here for playing beautiful football and for sticking to their principles of playing the right way, even when Liverpool were clearly on fire. Forest could have just put everyone behind the ball and gone in for damage limitation. But they played an open, expansive game, and deserve some credit for this wonderful display of football. That Forest side played the game the right way and, with lots of young players, were one of only two sides to beat Liverpool in the league that year.
Remember watching it and even as a Forest fan I can say it was the purest display of football ever!

Thanks for uploading this. Very important to have this for future generations.
Former England international Tom Finney said after the game that this was the finest exhibitions of football that he had ever witnessed.
Absolute classic m8, got this entire game myself on video and great to see it on here
Some good crisp football played then. Imagine if there was all the fancy camera angles and super slow motion stuff. How great would that be.
Crown paints kit was legendary
Poor Forest, given a thick and veiny lesson in Association Football by Perch-era 'Pool.
dr dre watched this game on tour in the UK and declared himself a life long red as a result #YNWA
A strangely lethargic game and commentary.
