This is very nice video. I wish I still had my PS5 controller so I could’ve bought this. I used to have a PS5 controller that I used on my PC and I managed to pair it to my PS3 using Bluetooth. For my PS4 I have one of those knockoff PS5 controllers that’s the same shape and size as the real one.

Well, this makes me excited to be able to use the PlayStation 5 controller that I got months and months ago without knowing how to connect it. Sorry I hear you're having this issue.
Try pressing down and holding the button on the adapter until it stops flashing. This will reboot it, then try connecting again.
Let me know if this fixes the issue.

Yeah, it's a bummer they won't let us connect our PS5 controllers to our PS4s!
I haven't noticed any delay with this adapter, in fact, to me, it almost feels faster than the standard connection. Though I haven't done any testing to prove this is an accurate statement.

If you use this to connect to your PS4, and then you Remote Play to your PS5, do you get all of the dual sense features? Or is it still only sending PS4 controller supported feedback to your PS5 controller?
As far as I know, the only reason you can't get the special PS5 feedback is because it's only programmed into the PS5 version of the game.
If you can find a way to play the PS5 version on the PS4, it might be possible that the adapter would be able to transmit it properly. Unfortunately, I'm unable to test this since I don't have a PS5.
I would suggest asking the seller if it's possible or not.
@@TechOverFlow I was suggesting playing the PS5 version of games on a PS5 console, and using this to control your PS5 remotely from a PS4 console using Remote Play. However, the product page in the pinned comment link has a screenshot of a review that specifically says "Controller will provide normal vibration/feedback, but not the immersive PS5 feedback", which I assume covers the use case I was asking about.
@JoshCriz I actually wrote that review, and at the time of writing it, I assume there wasn't a way to play the PS5 version of the game on a PS4. However, it sounds like you were able to find a way, so if you want to know if it would work or not, asking the seller is probably your best bet. Hopefully this helps!

It should work for that. I haven't tested it in that specific game however, I found that the touchpad does work with this adapter.

Unfortunately, not. In fact you can't use the built-in headphone port either. You would have to get some compatible wireless headphones or there's a different adapter you can get to connect any bluetooth device to your PlayStation.

Unfortunately, It doesn't. You would need to get a compatible wireless headset or wireless headphone adapter to use headphones with this.

I haven't tried it with an official Sony wireless headset that connects with a USB dongle, however, I have used it with one by a different brand and it worked for me. So more than likely it should work with the official one as well, though I can't be 100% sure.

Does this adapter count as a 3rd party device for games which don’t allow 3rd party devices like rainbow six siege doesn’t allow xim and Cronus because it’s cheats, do you think I’ll get banned for this?
I don't know a lot about this so I don't feel like I can give you a good enough answer.
But if I had to guess, I assume it would be fine since they're really looking for people using mouse and keyboard. However this is based on the assumption that the software looks for movements that aren't typical with controllers to find those players and since you'd still be using a controller it wouldn't have an issue, but I can't promise anything.
I would probably suggest contacting the game support team and see what they say.

Yeah, this adapter works with PS5 consoles and PS4 dualshock controllers as well.

Unfortunately, it can only connect to one controller at a time.

I've never heard of that before. I often use this adapter for around an hour of continuous play and almost never have issues with a disconnecting, so maybe that's a issue with certain adapters, but this one has been really good about staying connected.

The reason it is more expensive on Amazon than on AliExpress is because the seller on Amazon is usually a middleman that is just buying the product from a place like AliExpress or Alibaba and then reselling it for profit. However, on AliExpress they come directly from the manufacturer or from a seller that is closely connected to the manufacturer.
With this adapter, you plug it into the PS4. However, you are also able to plug it into your PC and use your PS5 controller on there as well.

I picked up a ps5 controller today (I have a controller collecting obsession) and tried it with the 8bitdo and can confirm it did NOT work despite another chap on UA-cam claiming it does. While I do not have this Techoverglow chaps same bluetooth dongle, I coincidentally recently purchased a Gulikit USB dongle and it worked perfect... The way the Gulikit one works is your original controller connects via the usb cable through the dongle (like a passthrough), the dongle then pairs to the PS5 controller via bluetooth (probably also work with xbox controller and the product it was intended for the Gulikit Kingkong 2 pro).
I was thinking why the hell do I need another dongle when I purchased the gulikit but glad I did now. lol I sound like a salesman for them but nah, its just an alternative bluetooth dongle to what this chap suggests - which was your original question.
Gulikit seems the most versatile in that reading the instructions it seems to work on all consoles... Providing you have an original controller to work as a passthrough. Can't speak for this one.

As long as it's a PS5 controller it should work, even if it's modded.
As for the back buttons, I can't say I'm 100% sure that'll work, however based on the way most back paddles are programmed, I would suspect they should work as well.
You might want to contact the seller and see if they can give you a more certain answer.

Yes, you do still get standard vibration, however don't expect special haptic feedback as this is only programmed into the PS5 version of the game.

I haven't had any issues with delay, in fact I think it actually reacts faster than the normal connection. Of course my PlayStation is 9 years old, so that might be why it seems faster.

Not everything on the controller will work such as the microphone/headphone port, but overall, yes it really works. I can verify that the buttons all work, same with the touchpad, joysticks, and vibration (non haptic).

@Houddy Yes, I was able to use it with a BDM-40. I've also tried it with a BDM-10 and BDM-20 and both were working, so it should work for all the BDM models.
