You forgot to point out and demonstrate the interior accent lighting that is standard on the Platinum trim.
Where is the light source and why was it not illuminated?
@@MikesCarInfo, there is accent lighting in the front doors, similar to the Maxima and Murano, that illuminate the window, lock, and mirror controls from within the door panel. There might also be some around the dash, but I would have to look again. Oddly enough, they are off by default (same was true when I had a '16 Maxima Platinum). They can be turned on and the brightness level adjusted from within the Vehicle Settings menu item under Lighting, and then Accent Lighting. They add a nice touch to the interior.
@@hillstones thank you for the info. I'll have to check it out :)
@@MikesCarInfo I played with the accent lighting again in my '19 Altima Platinum and there are two LED accent lights that illuminate the left and right HVAC vents on the dash next to the doors, in addition to the accent lighting in the door panels.
Striker z28 nope, I dumped the car after three months. It drove like crap compared to the prior generation. It tried to shift through all the simulated gears before it even hit 30, and when I tried to ease off the gas to coast on the highways, it immediately started slowing down, which meant I always had to keep my foot pushing on the gas to maintain speed, unable to obtain the rated MPG. Also, the constant rattles in this new generation were torture, and the new touchscreen glass always required multiple touches to get it to respond. The dealer of course said there was nothing wrong with the car. So I traded it for a ‘19 Rogue SL, and so much happier. I described the ambient lighting in the post above.
I love the “at night” reviews. For someone like me who lives in the woods and works overnight shifts lighting is my number one issue with new cars. Cannot wait until the industry realizes that we need radical changes to our lighting laws. Europeans already using laser matrix headlights 10x brighter than anything we got!
Love the style of this car.
Me too, I test drove it and it felt amazing and right! I'm a Honda guy, but this Altima felt right!!!
@@meccadagreatest7508 Thanks for your review. Thinking of buying one in the next couple of months.
I’m glad I’m not the only lights freak out there!
Great 👍🏽 Review! I have a 2017 Nissan Altima SV. Tomorrow I’m looking at the 2019 Nissan Altima SV. This car is beautiful! It has all the bells 🔔 and whistles I want and need!
More people need to be like this guy demonstrating interior, and exterior lighting so everyone knows what car to get for the best visibility at night.
That's why I subscribed.
I come to your channel anytime I want to look at a new car because of your night views! thanks so much for doing these!
Just got one. My first new car ever. At 36 years old.
This car looks so good in white, I really hope I can get it as my first whip 🔥☺️
Despite the taillights not being LED I think it still looks classy and beautiful.
I really like the layout of this vehicle interior for some reason and if the seats are comfortable, well that's number one priority for me.
Love it very nice I have a 2016 Altima and love it can’t wait to get one like this
That is beautiful I can’t wait to get one been looking at a lot of videos.
Have you seen this? ua-cam.com/video/rvWTk-mmi0k/v-deo.html
I got the 2019 s wit the sr body wit all the features and interior lights silver wit black rims and interior lights with a front bottom splitter and chrome moldings on the side. I love itttt
Great looking car. Kudos to Nissan
It’s amazing and thank you very much ♥️
I’m hoping in the next week or 2 to be the round owner of an Altima SR with the Premium package and intelligent AWD. Test drove one today and was hooked. Can’t wait to join the Nissan family!
Love the night video! Thanks!
Great video man!!!! Cool night video!!! I love the LED lights!!! I love the 2019 Nissan Altima! It's very sexy!!! You should do a review on the 2020 Toyota Corolla it's very sexy too. I can't wait for your next video. Happy Thanksgiving!!! Eat too much Turkey and dressing and sweets!
Excellent review. I always test drive the car I will buy during the day and night to check the lighting at night.I would like to see the Altima Platinum Edition One with the lighted rocker panels. Maybe consider doing a review of the lighting on Edition One .
My bro has a 2016 Altima SR, the car has 100,000 miles no transmission problems and car problems at all yet running like new lol
Francisco Martinez ayyyy
Bro where the hell was driving to get to 100000 miles already my goodness
timothee hyppolite 😂 tell me about it. They add up easily though. I’ve already put 15k miles on my 16 Altima that I bought with 29k back in March. Lmao. I’ll be like his brother before I know it.
Looks really good
I love the Altima and rogue's like the styles
@ltim@ 2019 💓 just love it. Good work Niss@ñ
Out of all the sedans in this segment, this is my fav next to the Camry
Thanks Mike. Can you also do night videos of the new ES350 and the Avalon Limited?
Great video! Nissan - you can easily gain a more premium look if you integrate LED's. Shame that this was not included on the production model.
That is one nice Altima. Definitely going to pick one of these up in a few years
Pretty nice!
Nissa Altima Platinum Is is the Most beautiful Car in the World to me
its nice that your camera can catch the frame rate of the neon daylights most camera recording just blinking non stop.
I had to set the shutter speed appropriately :)
Those newer headlights looks like when you drive up in your driveway in a movie or car commercial like Toyota, Ford and Honda headlights. I forgot also the 2020 Hyundai Sonota which is my 5 star car the most.
I got the same one on Halloween
Anyone know when parts will be made to boost hp for the altima 2019 ? I have the basic/standard 2019 altima. Would be nice to jump hp above 300.
Looks awesome. Can’t decide between this or accord sport
adam102090 lol what would recommend?
@@heslind lincoln mkz 2019 I recommend that!
Time to raise the boost of that turbo i4!
Can u do the 2019 Honda CR-V Touring?
The car is beautiful but lacks internal LED lights and thanks for the coverage 👌 .
It costs $10 to buy LED's and replace them yourself. I'm tired of lazy people who complain about lighting they will see for 5 seconds.
See it's those small details 7:20 that make a whole difference to some people. Nissan needs to add ambient interior lighting in this thing(floorboards, cupholders, door handles) and backlight those buttons you mentioned. They are seriously falling behind.
It’s ridiculous. The 2013-2015 Altima SL models had the LED brake lights. Then when they did the facelift they got rid of them and never broyght them back again.
@@LouAntonioGiordano Yep! And remember they also came with LED interior dome lighting for the front but incandescent for the back... I don't understand Nissan.
The lighting you're talking about is optional. Take a look at this video. They show all accessories
ua-cam.com/video/nEOsFcJfhKo/v-deo.html
Nissan is just trash
Josef Griveas so why even watch the video then?
Super Nissan Altim Japan
I just bought a 2020 Nissan Altima Sr and want to know if the signal light and the windshield wiper Gage is supposed to light up again if the signal lights gauges are supposed to light up in the windshield wiper gauge is it supposed to light up in any sort of fashion because mine are black
I wonder why they didn’t use those two reflector spots. It’s like they were going to, but then chose not to. That would make some amazing high beams!
It’s vary down to the ground it will not stay along time I think this is the time to use cross over cars
Please let me know what kind of light is the white LED and what is his company for Altima because I have Altima 2019 and I want to install LED headlights halogen place and Do you know where to find her? 🙏
The orange back lights of the buttons seem very dim. Or maybe just the way it comes across on camera?
At night looks nice especially with them lights this is a beauty. I have Honda Accord Sport but this Altima style looks nice.
What is that light underneath the monitor in the USB/Power Outlet called? When I tried searching for Center Console Light, most searches aren't helping to that specific light I need to fix. Mine went out and I'm trying to fix it before needing to replace it. Also, which of the fuse does that control that specific light?
Will you do the new nissan maxima at night?
Can you do a Ford Fusion titanium at night?
Can I install DRL fog lights on base trim?
Yea that's where Nissan did cost cutting 1:15 and it's ridiculous especially considering the competition has gone to full LED lighting...
Agreed. The Platinum doesn't seem very Platinum because of that. LEDs just give the car a much more premium appearance. That should at least be offered on the SL and Platinum.
@@PhillyFan20 Exactly!
Lmao how come the sentra has led taillights but not the Altima 🤔
@@yahyoh91 Right!😆
Without LED lighting in the rear, it looks cheap.
Thanks mike, I like at night review too much, But I have a note about new cars such as Toyota Corolla, Honda Accord and Mazda 6 & nissan altima interior design are very similar.
Ahmed Alshamrani They have similar tablet style infotainment but that’s about it.
Not bad, looks a bit like the Maxima.
Does it have the automatic high beam-low beam option like the toyota camry?
Yes.
The tail lights aren’t on when your low beam lights aren’t on so it’s not good to drive with just your daytime running lights on it’s against the law in most states and the daytime running lights are said to be just a safety feature just in case you forget to turn on your low beams but the daytime running lights can only be disabled if your e brake is engaged if you want to keep the car running but you don’t want to wake the neighbors if you’re just sitting in your car with your bright ass daytime lights lol
Are the daytime running lights able to be turnt completely off? :)
No they stay on
Unfortunately, the taillights are not LEDs
I bought the sr 2019 a month ago it says online they come with single cd player mine only has touch screen tablet ..where's the cd player?
Can you provide a link that says they have a CD player?
@@MikesCarInfo says online features a single cd player..
Can you provide a link?
The Maxima still has CD player, not Altima though.
Pause at 0:15, it looks like a 2010 Altima with a refreshed front end.
The took a step backwards on this design.
So sick and tired of people ranting about what nissan didn’t do, take your lazy asses of the couch and customize your car to your liking, if you learn how to do that, it would be amazing at what the results would be.
PREACH. You gotta pick a car for its mechanics!
What about the damn car?! What about the better equipped competition? Most people want the most bang for their buck. It’s all about making a good investment. I assure you a Camry with LED tail lights will attract more buyers than a car that’s lagging behind its competitors.
Agree. If you want an add on, you can get one. I just bought one just like this for the wife (last week) love it and so does she.
Most of the people that bitch: 1. They never plan on buying one and 2. They would be bitching about the additional cost.
Because when kias and hyundais are better equipped for less, it's only fair to expect it of a top trim car that costs more.
Yes sir, I even made my own LED taillights
It would have been good, but because there are no LED lights throughout the whole car, it kills it for me.
Needs LED rears
No thanks, practicality over looks for me. LED headlamps so night vision is great is all you need. It meets DOT specs, $5 bulb is better than a $400 plus LED lamp when one small section goes out. Still looks good.
This is platinum?

What Nissan did with the lights is exactly what every automaker does when they release another car. Wait until the mid-cycle refresh. I guarantee we'll see better lights. Just like what they did with the 2019 Maxima.
Nissan Altima is a nice style but it made from aluminum engine not iron
Only reason I’ll choke an Altima or the maxima, is because of AWD
Nissan needs to pick a color, the crappy orange light is dim, and unappealing. No floorboard lights, White gauges mixed with random orange lighting looks bad. LED foglamps but no LED tail lights, tag lights, turn signals. Come on nissan, even your sentra had LED tail lights at one point. Get a grip.
Seriously tho! It's like Nissan has cheapened out on everything now. This car is light years behind when you consider the options offered on the competition.
@@giofromtexas2679 You're right but with $1,500 Down $297 a month for a platinum is not bad at all.
@@blessed4164 you are right there!
I would rather have LED headlights and fog lights, since that is what I am looking at 100% of the time at night. I am never following my own car to say, "wow, those lights are cool". I would rather replace a $2 bulb than a $250 LED housing.
@@giofromtexas2679 light years behind because it does not have LED tail lights? Most cars in this class do not. The Altima 2013-2015 SL was the only trim that offered LED tail lights and they were just a circle. They dropped them in 2016. The Honda Accord had LED tail lights in 2006-2007 and the boards would fail after a few years requiring a costly replacement. Accord dropped them altogether and only recently brought them back in some trim levels on the current model. The Altima offers a lot more in tech compared to the competition, even without LED tail lights. Honda still does not have an All-Around camera system. They still only have a back up camera and their LaneWatch system is only on the passenger side when all other vehicles monitor blind spots on both sides. The new Altima has a lot of trickled down features from the Maxima than the prior years.
I wish I knew where this funky front grill geometry design language is coming from. Lexus/Toyota has gone all in on it and for worse I think. Nissan also seems to think there's something to it.
As nice as the new Altima is, you can't help but feel Nissan had self-imposed limits such as LED exterior lights all around - just to save market space overhead for the Maxima. Toyota has a similar problem with the Camry to leave room for the Avalon.
Trades46 the Camry has Ambient lighting and led exterior lights on the higher end models
Looks like they ripped off the 2019 mazda 6 from the front. Mazda 6 signature lighting looks way better in the dark also.
If it still has the faulty CVT transmission in it. Leave it on the lot and don't get scammed into buying one just for the looks. Transmissions are going out with less than 50,000 miles on the Nissan.
adam102090 not sure where you got those stats from. But google CVT transmission failed and you’ll see many complaints and some are newer cars with less than 70000 miles on them
adam102090 well you got lucky. Here is one of many complaints that I can share wit you. My 2014 Altima currently in shop with 74k miles on it needing a new transmission. $4000 to fix. Still paying car notes and Christmas is 21 days away..Average person don’t have 4K to spend right before Christmas when your a single parent of 3 children

This car looks nice but Nissan isn’t the same anymore ☹️☹️
Why? This car is very perfeeeeeeeect
I wish some 1 told me b4 I got 1..the new engines they put in them are trash 😔
Teassia Harris probably got a versa
@@lilpeppa117G no I have a 2017 nissan Altima and already have had 2 problem with my engine
@@teassiaharris5427 2019 engines are different.
Love the car but the screen in the middle looks like an 80s radio what’s wrong with you Nissan
Not even LED tag lights? Disappointing ... but so Nissan 😕
Buy a set and put them in yourself lazy ass.
CVT plus old school rear lights Horrible.. LED's are everywhere now. Nissan really did some cost cutting round back.
Just get an Infiniti
I always see Nissan drivers driving with only their drls at night! It pisses me off, especially driving behind them due to no taillights being on.
be mad bitch
@@thedaytona3929 You never disrespect a Black woman. WTF is your problem?
@@user-ry3le1zq9d haha
The full halogen tail lights make the car look soooooo dated... shame, too, since everything else looks amazing.
Nissan is cost cutting on all of there cars now unless you are paying over $40K for one.
Nissan were going cheap last 15 years
Glad I didn’t buy this
If Nissan wasn't so destined to be greener and cheap out on aspects of the damn car it might be worth looking at... but I agree!
If I EVER bought a car from nissan, guarenteed, I'm sticking with the nissan maxima. The 2019 maxima's are right around the corner as well. This year is pretty much almost over. I believe nissan is finally unveiling the new 2019 maxima design next month in L.A.
I take that back. There actually video reviews of the 2019 Nissan Maxima out now on UA-cam. I just looked it up out of curiosity. WOW!
@@SynDreasIV What! Ok now I'm going to search
@@SynDreasIV yeah....they unveiled it...looks gorgeous.
Carlos Ghosen saved Nissan from going defunct but at the same time ruined Nissan. Nissan used to be high quality and well engineered. Now they are outdated and cheaply built.
If they didn’t have fleet sales or approve loans to anyone even dead bodies they would have been out of business.
Man it's crazy. I thought Nissan had a game changer with the 2019 model. But if you look over the years, the last great model overall was the 2002-2006 model. Fit and finish was immaculate and the V6 option was 2nd to none. It ran a close race with the Honda Accord EX-L V6 back in those days.
Give me a break. You're watching too much Scotty Kilmer
06XTOR I work parts at a Nissan dealership. I know first hand about these cars. Cars like the 2013+ Sentra and 2012+ Pathfinder go through CVT’s like gasoline.
@@LouAntonioGiordano Holy fuck man!!! Hahaha damn
The same thing is happening to Honda wish I would of checked out the car more before I bought my Civic
Seriously Nissan wake up and start making your taillights on this car FULL LED’S enough with this cost cutting b.s.. it doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. If other carmakers can put factory full led taillights on cars then why can’t you nissan
@adam102090 well apparently i do. now how brown you want that gravy....ooouch!
Nissan is so cheap with Altima! No LEAD rear lights! cm on!
Never buy another nissan. My Armada in shop, they can't fix a heater box that went at 150km's can't find a replacement...if they could it would be a $5000 fix..but they can't because it's a rare vehicle and rare issue. Nissan head office says not their responsibility andthey will do nothing and a $ 72 000 vehicle is now useless in Canada...nice job nissan
Dis car is meh
Just another Nissan, nothing special.
