I absolutely love how conscious she is about her consumption. She is absolutely the kind of role model we need more of!
What a unique and wonderful home! I love that many of the pieces are from local craftsman. I love how she speaks about Kenya and the rest of the African countries. She emphasizes and shows and that Kenya isn’t some broken down tragedy. I also love that there’s nothing pretentious here. Her love and respect for this country and it’s people seem genuine.
Well don't be surprised how she speaks about Africa because She's Jamaican. I and many Ghanaians Have said this many times that Africans only family outside of Africa are Jamaicans. Everywhere Africans travels to, Jamaicans are their first family there if there are Jamaicans. Rastafarians have been preaching praising Africans for Decades but the insecure jealous West or Whites tagged them as crazy people and most African people believed that except few- Ghana, Senegal, Ethiopia, Gambia, Liberia, Ivory Coast who embraced them and listened to their messages through their music
Everything is local because it is much cheaper than importing. I like it much better, they are very skilled craftsmen. I lived and worked in Zanzibar, Tanzania. And yea that’s resort as someone mentioned 😂
This couldn't be further from the truth. I have watched about 10 of these videos, and of the ones I have watched, I do not think I have seen anybody who knows less about their supposed home. It's almost as if the place got leased to make the video, which I don't hate, but that's what it looks like. Other than those few art pieces whose creator she mentioned is a teacher and whom she's met, so it's difficult to forget them, EVERYTHING else in this home of hers is pretty much turnkey. She found all of it already situated when she acquired the place and just started to live in it. I'll give you an example, that first table that she described as, "one-piece," unless we are just going to completely ignore what words mean, is actually NOT one-piece. It's a beautifully crafted table made from multiple pieces of lumber like most tables are, so that is, exhibit-A, somebody who does not know what they're talking about, but they do a good job of being confident and looking like they know what they're talking about when they are in front of people who know even less than them.
@@D_SQ You're very right. It's a resort called Lion In The Sun owned by a successful Italian businessman she dated in the late 90s early 00s named Flavio Briatore. This is NOT Naomi's home.
Great tribute to Kenya. Living in solace, close to nature in pure settings. Loved her phrase "love the Atlantic Ocean but Indian is better". So good to see that she appreciates the local artisans and designers. Her home is huge like a resort with four pools.
I've been to Kenya several times and what amazed me was always the architecture so in sync with nature, as they complimented each other. Naomi really shines talking about her house, she looks like she cares so much about the Swahilian infrastructural heritage and its genius designers. Props to her and to everyone who built this!
This has to be the BEST house tour in this entire AD channel. Everybody is so "Hollywood", and its so tiring, BUT this is the real deal! So organic and so true to its surroundings and it looks so relaxing. I want to wake up there go to that spa tub then go to the large breakfast/dining area have food with a mocktail! Naomi, you out did yourself!! I would give this place 10 stars. Absolutely gorgeous!
Her house is rather like a holiday resort by the beach. Everything about it seems airy and open but also a little commercial like a hotel would. I wonder if she bought a whole resort and turned it into her home.
@izzyweinberg7651 a room belonged to her and she might invite there family and friends. But, check also "Lion in Sun Retreat" and you will see that it is some kind of hotel. Probably she bought it with other investors.

Please don't attack a very diverse country with such a complex past and present so casually. Make time to study and understand it.
Is she Kenyan?
The Africans who can't do much complain when someone who can do something comes in. It's the most ironic thing!!!
@@maureenmucureezi7099 Africans who can't do much? Naomi is doing a good job but she is not advancing an entire continent of 1.2 billion spread out through 54 countries on her own. Don't twist her words and intentions and don't insult us.
Celebrities.. “here’s my home in LA” 😩
Naomi: “hold my mock tail “
@dolimi jotoo Hello Luis Moreno lol
@dolimi jotoo you are right she is so used to luxury and hotel since very young, that's why now she wants more authenticity.
@dolimi jotoo it’s an actual resort and it’s not solely hers

@@eveningstar8581 Is this resort listed anywhere online?
Oh wow! It’s more like a resort and it is absolutely stunning! i love that this property it’s not just showcasing how beautiful and nice the place is but it also touches the Kenyan culture through its african designs. Love it!

This is the kind of place you live and wake up happy and grateful every morning. Leave your cares and worries out the door. Such a gorgeous piece of paradise.
I love how passionate and loving you are towards Africa in general. It’s so refreshing to see someone so mainstream loving such a beautiful continent. Roots to so many transcendental things today.
❤️
It makes sense Jamaicans are majority of African descent. This is part of her heritage.
@@livingfinance yes! And it’s amazing. We all come from Africa if you really look far
Her voice is so unique ...africa in general is indeed beautiful place....much love for kenya ....
Being 50 and looking soo youthful her skin looks so flawless. Lovely relaxing place
Guess turning that air conditioner works 😂
It seems like she has Botox, because there is no real emotion in her face while she talks. But I don’t know
@@katrinkamikatze her face has always been like that
@@katrinkamikatze I think it's because she cares about her health and skin so much. She's a supermodel
@@mrinde7 is she Kenyan?
Not sure what is more impressive the organic natural fitting syle of the house, locally used craftsman/ artist or the fact she chose Kenya to reside in.
