Red Alert Retaliation is better (the first one) cause it offers a real war atmosphere. Nothing looked fancy and special. And the giant ants were interesting like in a movie about some biochemical spillage that's causing a mutation in animals and insects. Too bad it was full of bugs and when the units stuck on the map the game barely moved. Also the AI selling the buildings shortly before you destroy them was annoying but there was a chance to destroy the building before it disappears.
Please always write additional info about total cost, percentage died etc. And maybe even some conclusions afterwards. This way your videos will be not only entertaining, but educative.

Both specials are WWII related references. Germany utilized a lot of Tank Destroyers of different types in WWII and to great effect. France had the Maginot line with its giant bunkers and gun turrets, which didn't turn out all that well for them.

Tank Destroyers are strong. Yes, they can't kill infantry well (nor terror drones, unless their is a balance patch for that) but Grizzlies, Rhinos and Apocalypse tanks don't kill infantry well either when cost is balanced. Speaking of infantry, Desolators are very effective (when deployed at close range) versus Allied Mirage and Prism Tanks, but less effective versus Tank Destroyers and Grizzlies. Usually, a good Deso-bomb can kill (or damage) enough vehicles for a group of Rhino tanks which can then finish off the rest of the group; however, Deso-bombs don't work as effectively against Tank Destroyers. I suspect a 2:1 ratio of Grizzlies and Tank Destroyers would be best in the early game w/ GI Battle Fortress' to compliment any weaknesses the TDs naturally have (infantry and buildings specifically). The BFs would be inexpensive since your anti-armor would be the TDs bolstered by Grizzly numbers. TDs also cost less than Mirage tanks. It's a cheaper army that is less susceptible to Desolators.
Grizzlies mixed with Tank Destroyers is a really bad idea tbh, they have completely different characteristics, Grizzlies are good at speed and Tank Destroyers are good at fighting tanks, combine those two and you will get a slow and weak combo and suck at everything.
I played Germany for a while, and the best combination for TD is prism tanks, this team is very good at late game, they can compensate for their respective weaknesses perfectly, build TD first, when you have more than 8 TD, start building lab and prism, ratio 2TD:1prism when 20 then just build prism >30.
Not going to lie. The fact that a Anti-tank unique unit, isn't cost effective against, or even on par with (Unless it's elite) a tank all Soviet "Civs" get, seems a bit like bad game design. I personally don't think that just being easier to mass enough of a plus. As such, if this game wasn't a literal relic from better times, where games were made to be fun, and not monetized to hell, I'd properly be more unhappy with it. Well, it is not like RA2 is balanced anyway!
The Tank Destroyer is lower on the tech tree, though I feel it's more of an issue that it's lack of a turret means it has difficulty with a microed Rhino since that is the type of unit you actually want it to counter. The Apocalypse Tank isn't as much of an issue since the Allies have the more powerful late game anyways.
This method is only different from the last time, Greenelf intentionally let apocalypse win by keeping a disadvantageous distance from the destroy tank compared to last time this video is so boring
