Remind me about a movie bridge too far, when british airborne repel the 2nd SS Panzer Battalion then end up defeat. They are all garrison the building and fight till supply depleted plus building ruined 😓

Every airborne requires support whether WWII or modern day Ukraine 2022. Airborne is always a losing tactic - if they are only infantry, it doesn't matter how they get deployed on the field - they will still be infantry and fight like infantry. No magic.

That is the toughest garrison building we have in the game.

I know a 10 person garrison building is much easier than other ones since battle bunkers can only hold 5, but can be repaired. Initiates are the best garrison units.

So veterans don't receive additional damage while garrisoned, but elite do. Interesting.
I wonder if garrisoned soldiers automatically get promoted inside and receive damage boost or you need to move them out manually for that.

The reason for that is the Conscript's GarrisonWeapon is different than it's regular weapon.
And since it's not a PrimaryWeapon or SecondaryWeapon it doesn't get the benefits of Veteran and Elite status (both giving around +15%[sic] more damage.)
It has instead a specific Elite Weapon Set it switches to when they're Elite. This includes a new GarrisonWeapon. The same thing happens to GIs and Initiates. (Though apparently the GI's garrisonweapon is a bit stronger than Conscript by a slight margin and we all know how strong Initiate garrisons are. Making Conscript garrisons the weakest.)

i wish promotions were based on amount of dmg done/recieved and not just who gives last hit. game called s.w.i.n.e. had system like that where units gained xp and ranks just for causing dmg.

Problem with limited choice of garrison in RA2. I put Flak + Tesla for bunkers in RA3.
