    I use my clean syringe to get the medium out of the bottle first. Then I use a cup of deionised water to fill the 'dirty' syringe. Two reasons why I do this. 1. If there is any water in the syringe it doesn't dilute or taint the original medium. 2. If there is any medium left in the syringe after putting it the bottle it is washed out by the deionised water as you fill your bottle. 👍

    I keep watching vids on everything painting, desperately hoping something is going to get me painting and not giving up after 5 models. Think I'm just confusing myself with the amount of technical stuff that is out there. Real nice easy guide to follow though, as with all ya stuff.

    Does using Matt medium affect glossy paints? Can Matt medium and mixing medium be used interchangeably?

    Where do you get those paint bottles that you transfer your paint over to. They are perfect and I want some.

    This is great. Just made a batch up and looks to work fantastic. It is much more opaque than the gw version of the medium which is more cloudy? Did you notice it shifting the colour toward white when used at all? It didn't appear to but I've only used it once...
    Update: helps if I remember what size bottles I'd bought (50ml) so ratio was all out - added 10ml medium in one and 20ml in another and filled with water. 5ml version much better, but question still applies!

    Dear Phil, thank you for your video, but lemme ask you: winsor and newton has a matte medium called Professional (instead of galeria), is that any good? Is there a difference? Thank you

      Professional is always what you want to go for. Everything is just that bit better and at the very small quantities we use on miniatures the price is not worth debating. For large-canvas artists who are still at the early stages of learning and they can get through HUGE amounts of material, sometimes student/gallery makes sense.

    Hi Phil, i find GW medium to help greatly with their washes, with flow etc. Does your recipe work to the same effect on washes?

    Does this still work well with all Citadel paints? Also, does it work well with metallic paints from Citadel?

    So how much medium to paint goes into the dropper bottles when putting your GW paint into the bottles? I looked for the other video and couldn't find it.

    • @Metabreakers
      @Metabreakers  6 років тому +2

      Sorry it will be going live tomorrow or Saturday, I've had to work late so behind on the edit :-( the amount you use is based on the type of paint....Base colors is almost 50/50 or 60/40 depending on the colour....Layer paint is 70/30 again I show more on the video but I hope that helps for now!
