- Let me show you how to make "Midwinter Medium", the hobby thinning liquid I use in quite a few of my videos, and show you all the cool things you can do with it.

Guy, I've gotta say those Blood Angels Terminators with the red glaze touch up, perfection. They were just a smidge brown before but now they look absolutely amazing, the details were fantastic regardless.

You can substitute Dish Soap with Isopropanol Alcohol. Still reduces the surface tension but prevent foam.

The one problem I have with this is that adding the dish soap creates bubbles in the paint when I mix and brush it on. Instead I made a different batch using isopropyl alcohol instead. It also breaks the surface tension without creating the bubbles.
Awesome stuff, I will most definitely give this a try. I've been using a flow improver that came with my basic airbrush kit, which has worked pretty well as a thinner, but lacks the additional uses your magic potion has.

I've been doing this since I started painting minis. I thin ALL my washes with it and they behave so much better. They also don't "stain" in an undesirable manner; if that makes any sense...
possible silly from a total noob type question. could this be used in a sacrificial wet palette? As ive tried a couple paints and it seems the wet palette waters them down too much at times?
I am about to transfer my pots to dropper bottles but some of my colors are SO thick. Could this mixture and a shaker ball help to drain my paints safely?
