A brilliant track from one of the most brilliant debut albums in rock history. It's now 44 years old and still sounds fantastic. Which pop stars could do that today?
Genius, bright stars from the moment they came on the scene. In the movie, "Bring on the Night," Sting remarked that with jazz one can kinda' ease into the groove. But with rock, you have to kick ass immediately; from the first note. They never disappointed; they still didn't as I watched this, decades later; even with a few wrinkles; even with a few miles.
Always loved this song from the other concert footage Synchronicity. Always loved Stewart Copeland drumming. Was cool to see this vid especially the cool rocking side to side in the beginning.
Whoever originally did the video?and only said “Sting”?! Yes he wrote it but it’s THE POLICE! Stewart and Andy made it sound this way. Show respect to the other talented musicians. To the person that made this available on UA-cam. Many thanks! ❤️
One of the half dozen truly great Rock bands, gettin' it done, LIVE. And, incredibly, they were perceived as a Punk band at the time. Punk never SWUNG like this. Incidentally... In the exact same way that it's a perceptual error to watch a performance by Cream and just focus on Clapton... If you watch these guys and just focus on Sting, you're missing 66.66% of what's going on.
You're 'funny', but you still haven't answered my question. And of course there is 'A Hole in my Life'. Isn't that the meaning of life? Filling up that hole somehow?
I didn't ask if you 'support Trump'. I wouldn't care if you did - your politics, like your religion is your thing - personal. And by the way, I DID answer your question regarding 'a hole in one's life'. And just because I asked a specific question concerning bass gear, that doesn't mean 'that's all I care about'.
all eyes on stewart

So unique and creative. One of their best jams.

Excellent performance...they were at their peak here...the beginning of a rather long one
I was 19 years old, missed seeing them at the S.F. Cow Palace. Regrets!!!!
I mean I agree but I think they have gotten better when they played their reunion tour.
that killer weird bass thing that starts at 2:48!
"Weird bass thing": one note ostinato. Wow. What an amazingly weird thing.
@@gustavomachado3488 must be great at parties.
@@gustavomachado3488This is the most condescending thing I've read in a while.

Who’s watching it for Sting? - j/k. I watching it for Copeland and that sweet, sweet franken-tele of Andy’s!!
Stewart is fuckin’ good 😵
Good ain’t good enough he is phenomenal
At around 1:02 watch Stewart check his drum stick! Amazing!!!
Thank you!
What a seriously flat lining crowd... come on Frenchies... this is THE FUCKING POLICE !
Bet they all brag about this concert now.
Why did Sting have two sets of Moog-Taurus bass pedals? Wouldn't one be enough?

Is that how you feel? Is that the hole in you life?
