I envy the fact that you get to live in Switzerland and experience the winters and roads there. You won't know how good you have it until you spend a year in a US city haha
If I got the option to move to Switzerland I would do it in a heartbeat. Just need to get work that pays well enough or work hard and move then to the Swiss alps. I hope I won't be too old by then. I live in Holland now it sucks here in winter
I visit friends in Oregon and Washington and it was very nice, stayed with them a few weeks and travelled around, live us much less complicated over there imo especially as a car guy. I wouldn’t want to live for a long time in LA, Vegas etc but there are nice places in the US too. Especially Seattle was very nice, clean and beautiful!
Welcome Luke to the Toyota community. Happy to have you. It really warmed my heart and made my day to hear such nice words from you. Winter videos from you are every year one of my highlights. Love the snowy landscape and white cars in winter hit just different.
My winter driver is a jaguar XF S,. On the highway a rock cracked my windshield and and icy snow on the road side scratched up my rims. Lol still no regrets .
What a unique situation - a Supra for winter! I had a MKIV Supra years ago. I had a red one, and my brother-in-law, a black one. He now has another one with over 1,000 HP. It’s virtually undriveable.
Im gonna be honest.. i live in canada, we get ALOT of snow, and ive never driven a supra, but ive owned 2 door RWD sports cars that i drove all year round, yes you can do it, is it a good idea? hell no, idc what winter tire setup you have, it will be slick all the time, especially roads like lukes on right now.. the cars arent safe, easy to loose control if your not a good driver, clearly as shown in the video^ you could tell luke was nervous right off the bat and through out the entire video. Overall im just gonna say, an AWD hatch or something euro like an audi will be much fun, ALSO i know RWD cars are lots of fun in the snow, but the daily hassle isnt worth it when you can be more safe, have more control, and just as much fun in an awd hot hatch or something. idk why i cared to give this much of an opinion ahahah
Luke you can feel yourself very proud of you. I’ve been following you since the beginning and the I appreciate so much in particular your winter videos. Big support from 🇮🇹
As someone who drove Syracuse, NY winter weather in a manual Z370 equipped with winter tires, it easy to relate to the experience 😃 The context of this show was great, as was Cars with Luke exploring the Toyota GR Supra Manual in these elements. Love the Sylvan GR Yaris visit. My addition to Luck's comments about driving a sport-car with winter wheels is, be aware of snowbanks with a low slung sport car. If you've huge, like 7+ foot snowbanks, getting out of a 7-11 can be difficult! Cheers from Charlotte, NC
I'm taking my RWD m140i to Lenzerheide in less than a week. Since it has the same engine etc this video was a nice coincidence. Switzerland has a very special place in my heart just like cars so seeing a video of yours is always a delight and I can't wait to watch it every single time. Maybe I'll see you up there one day, enjoy the cars and the weather!
That car looks epic with the winter backdrop, i've never really given this car a second look but really looking forward to seeing this car with your narrative.
I got stuck in a surprise snow storm in my supra and drove sideways 20 miles home. Talk about a white knuckle drive, that was terrifying. Even with snow tires I wouldn't want to snow drive it. Ballzy my friend!
yeah. i remember the adrenaline rush of driving on highway in snowstorm. in s2000. knowing that if i stop, i would had been stuck on the highway. those days were a riot.
Actually a friend of mine collected his black manual Supra at the end of November. However, it is still a very cool car. Very engaging. I was lucky enough to be invited at the GR Supra MT and GR86 first drive event in Seville back in May 2022
Great video. If you want to do it, it would be very nice to hear your backstory about how you ended up in Switzerland and when your love for photography began
Cool video bro. I’m driving Supra in Switzerland for 2 years now. And as you said you hardly see them. But I get so much fun out of driving it every day . Plus all the thumbs up from car lovers 😊
I almost prefer the winter vlogs even though they must be pretty miserable to film. Congratulations on the recent success and welcome newbies to some the best cinematic films on UA-cam👍🏻
I also like the look of the GR Supra, and that interior colour is awesome! Kudos to Toyota Switzerland for loaning you this new rare car. Has the GR Corolla arrived in your part of the world yet?
Kudos on driving a SUPRA in the snow. Mine is in hibernation till April. Looking forward to driving my JEEP Gladiator with 37’s in snow in Chicago. Have fun and be careful 👍
Best filming Indispensable on sunday mornings One of the Specialityof Watching Luke’s videos; they are relaxing , gives you piece and time to time wakes you up with the power. Hi Luke, could you tell me the winter coat brand you wear on the video Thanks
I’m Canadian, I was on vacation in Interlaken, Switzerland this summer and I spotted a GR Yaris in my rear view mirror so I slowed down over to the side, let him pass so I can drive behind it, my jaw was dropped the entire time I was behind it lol
Wroong, it's not currently the only Toyota Supra in switzerland! There is the very first one owned by the owner of Tanner Motorsports :) These cars are so awesome, placed my order on a red one earlier this december
Wow, what lovely scenery. So good to see the Supra getting some love on the Chanel. I think that this car looks amazing and nice that it may be a car normal enthusiast can actually buy without selling a Kidney it having shares in the local Porsche dealership. Brave for Toyota to fit a manual box which in all probability almost no one will buy.
I actually thought you're full time UA-camr that just happens to have so much work on the side that it looks like it's not full time. (: Really cozy, clean interior, surely must be comfy to drive in such. Audio transition after the drive was top notch, such a good execution of a creative shift from that engine rev.
You could think of it like that also yes :) anyway I like shooting other content outside of UA-cam for other brands, maybe UA-cam full time wouldn’t even be for me but time will tell.
I was happy to hear your comments on the engine. I still have a deposit on a Grenadier with that engine. Bottom end torque is going to be important (with a different tune I’m sure). PS My manual 550 is great in the snow with proper snow tires and DTC. You need the manual for engine braking and perfectly timed torque application.
"having a manual gearbox in every car is not a good idea.. again in the GT3 pdk for me just works better" ... A good sentence for me. The automatic gearbox in the Supra is very good. You can flash the automatic transmission and it will work even faster - almost like a pdk and it is still more robust. So in the Supra the automatic gearbox just works better .. for me!
Cheers and yes I guess I should try one, good to know you can flash it also, I just thought with this amount of power that the manual is more fun on this car and the gearbox is as well extremely smooth and nice to use with the rev match.
Quite an interesting video, Luke, the MKV Supra can handle winter well with proper winter tires fitted and sensible driving on your part. The scenery in your videos is unparallel.
Great video! Looking forward to watching more Supra content. Love your videos and got excited when the Supra popped up - I have a 2023 Supra and absolutely love the thing. It’s not quite a GT3, but I’m sure it’ll put a smile on your face too! What tires are you running for winter driving?
Hey Luke, I've been a follower for a long time and love your videos, also congrats on the GT3, thats a dream car of mine as well! I make this comment with the upmost respect, I think that in a video like this it would be nice to know more about the car. For example this car has the "Special Package," it would be cool to know exactly what that package adds to the base version of the car. Keep up the great content, I love these snow videos!
This channel in winter is just the ultimate vibe that nobody else has. Keep up the great work Luke.
That reverse snowing shot at 0:18 is the best thing I've seen.
😁🤘🏻
Mesmerizing
wowwww
Thanks for pointing it out. I missed it.
Simple but Super Effective!

I live in the Tahoe area here in the us and it ain’t bad in the winter at all ;)

Would love to see more JDM content from you. Feel like you're one of the few people on UA-cam that do cars their justice.
Thanks and yes I really want to do that now.
Some actual JDM's would be cool. This Supra is not one however...
Luke where did you get your jacket from? I like it
i love my 2020 supra,best car i ever owned
Fog light is very Batmobile! Love the interior too. Nice change of pace Luke!
Thanks man and yes it really is, would actually look epic in all black…
This was just candy for my eyeballs. I too have a Supra, but the location just elevates not only the car but the video itself! Chefs kiss!
Switzerland is a beautiful country love from India 🇮🇳
Luke you can feel yourself very proud of you. I’ve been following you since the beginning and the I appreciate so much in particular your winter videos. Big support from 🇮🇹
Watching a Luke video with my Sunday morning tea is always just perfect 🙌🏻
Congrats on 30k new subs since the GT3 arrived 🎉
Thank you!
Same here with my Sunday morning coffee while it's snowing ! :D

I love the way the snow in Switzerland goes upwards, shown at 21 seconds 😮
that's because of our high tax prices
@@Geislr Yeah, snow would get a fine if it touches the ground, how to pay people to remove it from the soil otherwise, hey?

I think every car looks 10X more beautiful with a SW license plate and this snowy barn background.
I just ordered this car in Nocturnal Black & i'll be driving it in the winter. u gave me faith that it can handle being RWD.

I've been thinking about getting this car next year or so. In the manual. Glad you have one and can drive it for a few months.
Get some 235x45x18 wheels and winter tires for all four corners and you'll be fine. The skinny size does OK in snow up to 5in.
I love your cinematography stuff man , I really do , keep doing you!
Had one for over a year thru a Boston MA winter, did great with the right winter tires!
I love the tan seats!
Very comfy also

Love this kind of videos, great car! The only thing I don't like is the steering wheel with the brown leather

Frankly, that Supra stock exhaust sound 5:22 is already naturally sick enough.👍
Sounds very smooth!
@@carswithluke Exactly, that sound does also add additional value to Supra.
