Also, make sure the green light is on in the mixer, meaning that your instrument/pattern is actually on, I watched this, it was fixed, I did something and it wasn't working again (spoiler: I clicked the green light on accident)

I have the problem where when I’m trying to listen to vocals I just recorded , some playback & some don’t , & when I export some of the tracks are missing from the audio but not from the tracks punched in

When I was a noob, I accidently dropped reaktor as an effect onto the master. It mutes your whole track. About pulled my hair out of trying to figure out why my tracks went perma mute. Took the FL forum to help me figure that one out.

Coudl you explain a lil where you went to fix that im having the same promblem I can’t hear nothing but it says it’s playing on the vocals
If your whole FL Studio has went deaf during a project, you can recreate the same patterns anew. You can go to all your mute projects, save, then, copy the individual score, & paste them into their selected sounds in a new project.. It's what I had to do to recreate a mute beat.
You shouldn’t be having to do this with any project. It’s better to know what you did wrong and rectify it.

I had to change my audio from ASIO for all v2 to Fl studio audio. Thank you for the vid!
I have an easy problem fix that was this: I choosed a vst without noticing on the master in a Slot and after I replaced the vst (Serum for example or other one) by a Fruity Reverb 2 for example the sound works again, THANK YOU anyway because it's so time and energy consuming for nothing
I just did that on my project, added a plugin that just deactivated the sound for no reason. Do you have any ideia on why this happens?
@@albertoceolin Yeah I think the plugin you used is not in the right place, like Serum can't be on the master and it cut the sound. You need to delete ot replace it to make the sound back. Try to remember or look where you have placed the plugin in the wrong place.
I opened up an old project, nothing was working but I reset all my mixer tracks to default and sound came back.
breh i was working on a beat I was really proud of, right before I go in to add the 808..... FL Studio goes bust and stops playing sound. And of course I have the free version, so if I exit, I can't come back in without paying at least $99
That’s the nature of trying to beat the system 🤷♂️
set it at pattern, hit ctrl+shift+R download it and try it again bet my last dollar it'll work
This is so weird ever video I look at, I can't seem to fix the problem. My fl studio has sound and everything but for some reason one of my projects i open just is not displaying sound and I've never been able to fix it. and it happens so many times to me.
Guys I've spent ages looking for an answer to this problem. My project just went quiet randomly and I couldn't figure out what I had done. And none of the potentials in these tutorials were the issues I had. But I've managed to sort it now, so if u are experiencing the same problem as me, maybe try to set each track in the mixer so that it has an output rather than link them all to just the master output. This solved it for me :)
That means you will hear it, before and plugins on the master bus.
@@Unders Also another thing. This issue I had... well, the solution that I stated (I have just come to find out) only allows you to hear the tracks in your project as it is all linked. But still no feedback coming through the master track. After a while of trying random things, I fixed this entirely by deselecting the "enable effect slot" icon on the master track and other tracks. I must have accidentally set this. This solved my issue, hope it can solve any of urs

I hear the music playing. But when I record something with my microphone, it only plays the beat/music but you don't hear the thing I recorded. I routed it to a track. When I undo the routing to the track, you DO hear the thing I recorded ánd the music/beat. I don't get what I could be doing wrong. Normally it worked like this and now suddenly there are such errors in fl studio. I mean, routing the things I recorded to a track is necessary to put effects on it. So why won't I hear anything after routing?
The problem cost me much time and it totally made me crazy. But !!! OMG!!!!!! Your video helps me so muuuuuuuuuch! Thanks!

I was so bummed out when I deleted this whole phonk beat just because of this dumbass sound going mute. This is a life saver man.

tried all of this and still no sound what do i do. Im using free version on an imported flp and theres 0 sound and ive tried everything, it works fine when i create a new place but doenst work when i import the audio.

So you're using a DEMO not a free version. If things work in a new project but not when you open up whatever its going to be either a setting in that project or a plugin on the master causing the issue.
okay so when i use slicex and put a pattern in i can hear it and it looks like note stairs going up, then when i delete the notes and paste notes from a difficult rack it doesnt play
piano roll isn't playing everytime i try to put a drum or an instrument it won't make a sound at all the and there's a small triangle next to the drum tabs and i've never seen it before
accidently switched midi channel? the coloured box top right of the piano roll. make sure its on 1.
My audio still doesn't work. Do you mind helping me? In my device list I only have Built-In Output, even though it worked before.

I just found this video, and I'm glad I did, turns that 1-2 problem wasn't on my master, it was on my first mixer track, I didn't notice the difference because it was my only track being used in the song at the time, I had just started it

I found the error. Not sure if it will help others but mine was, Kickstart 2 Plugin had crashed. So i couldn't hear anything since almost everything was sidechained.

Straight to the point, descriptive and helpful, yet it all was moot for me. I haven't found a fix yet (other than locating sources as i recently had to rebuild and move things from old to newish pc), but project files with missing samples/plugins wont play a single sound for me, not even clicking a sample in the left box makes noise. I went to a project i found the sources to and boom, like nothing happened. Bit annoying as im trying to piece projects back together lol
If the sample browser doesn't play, then its routing. Either audio interface settings of false mixer settings. Possibly a dead plugin on the master that FL cant find so audio doesn't rout out too.

in the mix my sound sounds laud, and i keep the exporting settings the same as befote.

Edit: it was my volume nob, the media player was down, i tought that it controls all my system volume...

hi, i have everything in check but on a certain project file it doesnt give out any audio. the master meter is showing the signal but it doesnt get played to my output device. its happening only on this project. the audio signal meter in the bar at the top doesnt show anything. do you know what could the problem be?

I can hear any sample I bring in. Check audio and the master, the master does not show anything happening for the instruments but it does for the sample. The instruments have a circle with an I or Slash in them. But I can open them and play them.

when i click space and try to hear the full song and stuff it wont play, i can hear my own voice and stuff. Its like my headset wont play the full actual product. i can hear individual parts not the song as a whole.
Sounds like you’re playing back patterns. Press L to switch to song mode.

@@just_dimi3 The only reason they specifically wouldn't work is you have automated them to cut off or reduce gain to a point you cant hear it.

My problem is that a new audio clip was added after that steps were added for samplers(claps, hithat), then i played in song mode after that only the audio clip is playing samplers aren't playing along with it
You need to actually arrange your patterns in song mode.

I must say, this video is very helpful yet none of the procedures worked. I finally gave up and unplugged my mic, headset, and interface. Then plugged them all back in, boom it worked. That might be the fix to your problems also. Don’t stress it😂
i should have opened with, try turning it off and on again.
I hear myself on the mic the beat and all that, and when i go to record my vocals I click on the button it turns red but it doesn’t record my vocals it doesn’t draw anything what can I do about this?

@@Unders like I just have my mic plugged in and I don’t have any plugins on while I’m recording it’s just my vocals sounding slower and I keep changing the buffer length and no Matthew what setting it’s sounds like a second off beat and I knows I’m not singing off best
Yo man tried all these and still am getting no signal coming through my mixer and when I record it’s just a flat line. My mic and interface are working all fine it’s just the mixer is picking up nothing and it’s recording a flatline.Have done all the troubleshoots and nothing still. Hope u can help me out. Cheers

Will be something in your signal flow. Check the console settings of the Apollo too to make sure the signal in in flowing to the right channel

Ok so none of these worked for me. I have a small milisecond clip of noise, when i preview it, it plays, but when i press spacebar, the arrow goes over it, but doesnt play, everything is in order according to this video but still no sound.

@@riplol2836 when setting it up in the piano roll, i only had it tuned to one piano key, so it would only play on C6, i was supposed to left click the tuned key instead of right cliking and that enabled the rest of the keys
um... I dont get the output thing on the side of the 'mixer' ...
Like at 0:51 ... That little side thing that has output and input doesn't exist for me... isn't this supposed to exist for every person in existence????
Ok nvm I figured it out. Apparently when I went to download the entire application and then installed it, I installed from one driver on my computer to another so it got corrupted and I was missing literally 50% of the options and items like all the samples and coloration and stuff.

My problem is that everything sounds great when I go to record but when I play my recording back the instrumental sounds like it’s so far away. I pretty much only hear my voice.
That could be a million different things. As simple as your vocal is too loud maybe?
@@Unders there is something problem that little bit similar that you make a song on laptop and then you send it on my phone (the file is .wav) of you play it on my phone 1 or 5 instrument didn't noticable (i can't hear it)
Yo I have a problem that I can’t seem to find a solution to anywhere. Basically I can hear everything fine, however when I record my vocals, the other tracks that make up a beat are going into my vocal playlist. I don’t know the term but it’s like my desktop audio is going into my vocal track. Have you got a solution for this?

Can anybody help me? A few days ago I tried to record something with my mic. And it said I need Asio Drivers to record something. Then I looked into my audio settings and couldnt select Asio4all or FL Studio Asio. I uninstalled FL Studio and it even said that I would uninstall FL Studio and Asio4all Drivers. Then I installed i again and it said again that I would install Asio4all and Fl Studio. So I have the Asio Drivers installed. I tried it a couple times but the same thing happened again and again. I installed the Asio Drivers into the FL Studio Folder, but it doesnt work. Help
If you cant select them in FL it means they are being used by something else usually. Try the Show ASIO panel as well to make sure the audio device is actually linked.
