i've seen so many vids on youtube with guys who have your arm mass but NONE have those bicep peaks, jesus! thanks for a great vid can't wait to try this exercise!
you are the most succesful person i'v ever seen ,that because you concentrate on quality in training not heavy weight and this the right thing to avoid injuries, thanks for your tips, accept me as your friend pal
Incroyable ! Monsieur, vous avez révolutionné la musculation grâce à ce mouvement . Après 3 mois d'entraînement, mes biceps ont littéralement explosés. C'est génial !
I liked your video. I tried this today for a change and really noticed the difference. Thank you. I hope you ignore all these jerks with their negative comments and their steroid bs. Doesn't matter to me if you're on steroids or not, I appreciate you sharing this exercise.
I have constant forearm pain when doing any curls. For me, I think this is an exercise I'll be willing to try; its better than avoiding curls altogether.
Brilliant ! Just what I was looking for !! And I also love how he goes straight into demonstrating the exercise unlike the bs that other channels give u. Most of all, his biceps give tremendous credibility to this video
How do you get a pinched nerve to heal after 3 years, behind the left shoulder blade, and runs thru the front of the neck and over my left peck and runs thru the inside of my left bicep. It will not go away. I've tried everything, from Cryotherapy, to Cupping, to Acupuncture, massages, heating pads. Any advice, would be great. Thanks, John.
Mau Makaveli This pinch nerve is The Devil!! It started, when my neck collapsed lifting a pool table, over 2 years ago. The DR's claim, I have a severe muscular injury. You would think, it would go away, but it's not. Sucks, wish I could workout like I used too.
Christian Lindsey No Way. I already have enough scars. I took a round piece of metal and a hammer and started hitting the piece of metal on the tissue. Alot of cracking noises, but I just need this last nerve to open up. It feels better tho.
my question is how does this limited range affect the muscle? Does it create growth just in the middle leaving the ends weaker? I mean is a bump better and more efficient than an elongated bicep?
Ahaaa... I think this execise will be good for me as regular dumbell curls kick-off tennis elbow in my right arm.The 'grip' + 'movement' combination is the killer with tennis elbow and there is no 'grip' to this.
I been watching you do the dumbbell waiter curl I watched one of your other videos about it this morning before going to the gym I tried it, you can really feel it on your peaks
@@X9K8L depends on how it feels, if it feels good and nothing hurts you’re probably fine, but if it feels uncomfortable and unnatural then you should drop the weight.
Thank you such an excellent technique I feel where you really isolate and work solely the bicep I even felt it just trying to mimic your demonstration while watching the video with no weight on me LOL
Shit, if I get a 15" arm I'll be happy. I' m going for the classical definition of beauty - neck, arms, and calves all the same size. Currently I'm looking at 14" arms, a 16" neck, and 14" calves.
I just love how you explain in detail all the tips to achieve the perfect form! I saw this same exercise on another Renshaw’s video and have already incorporated it into my routine. Awesome instructor!
@@rrisky18 all curls work the "head" of the biceps to varying degrees. A drag curl will give you an entirely different feel compared to this exercise. The main reason is down to the hand positioning. Drag curls require you to grip the bar with a shoulderwidth hand placement so you can bring your elbows back behind your body as you drag the bar close to your torso. This curl brings the hands closer together to support the narrower dumbbell with an open hand and a flexible wrist. As you are only cusping the dumbbell the phalanges and finger extensors stay open so it gives a different type of feel than when you grab a bar. The only way to really understand is to try it. I've done both in the past and I have to say this variation gives a much much better contraction for me than standard drag curls. Drag curls do nothing for me personally because I have short bicep insertions so the weight just shifts to my joints.
Seems like it would work more of the inside and not the peak. Jeff of Athlean X stresses that you have to keep the elbows in and curl outward the most to develop the peak. My problem is that my forearms are so overdeveloped from training for 30 plus years they overshadow my biceps now. This guys got the opposite going on his biceps overshadow his forearms.
It’s all genetics. Biceps and abs are all genetic. I used to be able to barbell curl 185 without much cheating and did 250 sit-ups a DAY!..and I only got Stronger, but never had definition. I never had peaks in my arms they just look like part of my fucking arm, and I never had a six pack or four pack or even a two pack. They were pretty flat but that was about it. And trust me I’ve done the diet thing where they say that 85% of abs are down in the kitchen and all that bullshit. I’ve personally seen guys, most notably a friend of mine that literally eat shit and never does abs and has a six pack, and I’ve seen guys that just get great looking biceps. This guy is obviously very knowledgeable but is also genetically gifted so when you work hard, those are the results you get but it’s not just for working hard you have to have the genetics I don’t care what anyone says.
Tried this movement this morning and have to agree it's a great isolation workout for the bicep. Simple straight forward but great pump
I tried this today and it was awesome! Thank you
I discovered Bryan Renshaw and this exercise on Twitter. Awesome. I wish he also tweets more. 😊
Looks like a drag curl but with a dumbbell instead of a barbell. Old school...always been a great excerise for biceps.

Interesting. I'm going to try this one for sure. Thank you.
Did the movement without using weights. Clearly isolates the bicep peak like he said. Will incorporate next week when trading my biceps again

Good tips on waist.
When is the best time to do this movement ? Beginning or end of bicep workout

How to build lower chest
Can you use cable for this same exercise?
Won’t work the same
This only works well when you have dumbbells that are shaped with a more flat surface.

Were your biceps this big & ripped before you added this technique to you workout?

When you run out of ideas and have to make up random shit and sell it to confused teenagers
Flakey 12 😂😂
Chin Up Pull Ups Are The Best
Would it work with a kettle bell?
Wow, What a load of old barbell.

Faisal Ali great place to start is 8-10 reps. Slow and controlled.
He’s right...always remember proper form is the key..
Isn’t this the same as doing drag curls with a barbell?
No
Isn’t drag curls for the head of the biceps also🤔
